Hotel VEGA Sofia

The hotel is looks new and is nicely decorated. Rooms are large, bed comfortable, tea and coffee facilities and a mini bar. Bathroom very nice and spacious as well. The area isn't particular interesting but there is an excellent supermarket next door and a nice outdoor place with 10+ street food kiosks next to the supermarket. Metro comfortable walking distance. Staff efficient but not overly friendly. The price was excellent.

Two of the three elevators were out of order for the full 5 days I stayed. Airco in room didn't work or isn't very powerful. Temperature didn't go down much.

Very nice hotel, although it lost some of its edge since my last stay there (about 3 years back). Personally I found the location of the hotel to be very convenient, with a good selection of restaurants in walking distance (in Studentski Grad area), area for walking or running (Loven Park). The rooms are clean and kept in good condition, beds are comfortable. Classic breakfast with good assortments of drinks and food, cold & warm. Free parking place in front of the hotel.

Even though it has a restaurant, it is open only for breakfast, so if one needs dinner or lunch, should look outside for alternatives. The bar was closed, thus no early or late drinks in the hotel, as well. Fitness room is opened only from 8:00 till 20:00, although at the reception was mentioned to be opened for hotel guests non-stop.

Every morning our breakfast was waiting for us. The selection was beyond expectation, large selection of fresh fruit and veggies, cheeses and cold cuts, nuts, juices, eggs and breakfast meats. They didnt miss a thing.

To get to center of town, we had to take a metro which was a good 10 minute walk, not too much of a big deal. One major problem was getting ice, (as North Americans, we cannot seem to live without ice, especially in the summer) we had to go to reception everytime we needed it. In all fairness, it was brought up to us.

Good location. Clean. Friendly staff.

Steps at the front. Not practical. We had to carry our heavy suitcases. A ramp would be a great idea. Older people like us cannot carry heave suitcases and climb stairs. Also tiny lifts. We had to wait ages to use the lift. One wasn’t working either. Only 3 people or 3 suitcases can go at a time. Such a big hotel which accommodates tour groups like ours 42 people needs big lifts.

It was my second visit to this hotel. It remains a very good choice with high standards of cleanliness and stuff was willing to help on every request. Although we arrived late at night because we travelled by car the receptionist was waiting for us and checked in us quickly. Definetely a safe choice for someone who seeks a high standard place with comfortable parking space and a comfortable room in a fair price.

Breakfast was poor due to no buffet because of covid restrictions

This is the forth time we were staying in hotel Vega. We had a lovely time. It was spotless, quiet and the location is very convenient for us. There was no problem with the on site parking. There were also sufficient public transport options nearby when we wanted to explore the city without a car. The staff were all great. Breakfast was fantastic as well. It was made to order very quickly and the options were very tasty. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation.

EVERYTHING was in perfect order, especially the kindness and politeness of the Staff, the room was really big, perfectly clean, check in and out very very fast, nice parking, .iterally everything was in perfect order.

NOTHING to dislike simply stated perfect stay

As it was business trip, the location was super good for me - only 10 minutes walk to the office. Very green area. Lady at the reception was absolutely amazing, smiling, friendly, professional, welcoming, she gives the good vibes right at the moment you enter the hotel!

Poor breakfast, with few options. The location of the hotel about 5 km from the center compensates with the underground parking and the pleasant area where the hotel is located.

The breakfast should be improved.
