Favorit Hotel

We stayed for only one night as we needed accommodation for an unavoidable layover. The hotel is close to both the central train and the central bus station which was the reason for choosing it apart from the price. That being said, we still easily walked into the center and some sights we managed to see in the short time in Sofia within 20 minutes. There isn't much in the immediate neighborhood but as said, the next supermarket is still only 7 minutes walk away. The receptionist who was on duty when we arrived was very friendly and accommodating. She immediately opened the luggage room without asking, as the rooms hadn't been ready, yet, and offered us breakfast packages when we told her that we had to leave earlier than initially planned. The rooms were great and the hotel managed to offer us rooms as close to each other as possible. One thing that was a bit of a dampener, though: The night shift guy who was supposed to hand over our breakfast packages and some coffee for the thermos mug was late and seemed somewhat confused, so we ended up later at our next transport than we had wished for and with no coffee but we took that as a funny episode.

The hotel has suites with spacious rooms and beautiful view over the city from the terraces. It was quiet during the night and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Clean sheets and towells though were kind of old and used, as almost everything in the hotel. The breakfast is served at hotel Aris, just few metres away. The food selection at breakfast was simple, mostly fresh and not too varied. The hotel receptionists were nice and communicative. Relatively close to the city center and the shops and restaurants area, wich is over the Lions Bridge just 25 minute walk

The hotel itself is a bit obsolete, even though has quality wood furniture and one can see that it used to be a very nice hotel. A lot more attention should be paid to cleaning, particularly to carpeting that looked clogged in dust. The smell was as if stifled. It's located on a small street, green zone and has no parking on its on. They recommend Adria Hotel for parking with 20 leva per day, even though in the green zone one can play by sms and on Saturday evening after 8 pm and on Sundays is free. . There are not many options for having dinner near by, except for the Bridge restaurant near the Lion Bridge and metro station.

We were given a suite. Despite the stains on the carpet, we felt very comfortable in the two rooms each with a tv and a closet. The views from the two balconies were fantastic. The extra large sofa bed couch could seat 4 adults. The windows and doors were double panes glass. The shower in the bathtub was nice. The welcome packet was very detailed. There was also a kettle. There were 2 grocery stores within walking distance and and one could walk to the city center to participate in the Free City Walkable Tours.

The elevator was small. The carpet was dreadfully stained. We found an ant trail and an earwig plus the the area behind the heavy couch and under the couch pillows were not very clean. The hotel does not have its own breakfast so you must walk down the street to a sister hotel. Investing in tile or laminate flooring would really upgrade the rooms.

Hotel is situated on a quiet street but only 5mins walk from the the Central Bus Station. The room was large and everything had obviously been cleaned well by the hotel staff. The bathroom had a bath and shower and the water pressure was good and the water hot. Breakfast had a good continental selection of food as well as some hot food (scrambled egg, baked beans, sausage) and all was tasty. The staff were also friendly and helpful

Although the staff had cleaned the room well, it was obvious the carpet was old and tired as it had stains on it (it looked like a bottle of bleach had been dropped near the bathroom as there was a big stain there). The breakfast was served at the sister hotel along the road (50m) but when it's raining this isn't ideal. There is a well stocked minibar but I checked the inventory and a large bottle of water was missing. I told the hotel staff and they made a note so I wasn't charged and there was no issue when I checked out but if I didn't notice maybe I would have been charged for it (8 lev)

The location, the reception staff were very amazing, helpful and friendly and went out their way to help so much please with that.

The morning after my stay, the bed wasn't made properly, the bathroom wasn't cleaned throughout my stay because I dropped a soap by accident and I found it in the bath in the evening and my pillow cases didn't match and one of them had marks as if old or thorns. The house keeper just did little.

Breakfast was ok but not there strength. It was provided in their partner hotel next door. Access to the centre was good, about 15 minutes on foot. A similar distance from the rail station. The locality had more hotels than restaurants. The area was a little rough around the edges but didn’t feel unsafe. Our room was a spacious suite and good value for money.

Breakfast wasn’t as good as our room. However the whole B&B package was great value. We found one good local restaurant but needed to head into town for more.

The rooms are clean and tidy. Unlike so many hotels of similar standard in Western Europe, this three-star-hotel still provides the kind of amenities that make your stay pleasant - a proper set of toiletries, a mini bar. This was much appreciated. The location is also great if you are travelling by train. And my room had a small balcony, which was such a nice touch.

The restaurant was not working! This is why I cannot honestly say the hotel met my expectations. This should have been made clear on the hotel website.

It is closer to central station and metro station (5-8 minutes walking). If you want to reach city center are necessary more or less 10-15 minutes walking. Room is warm, silent and clean. Wifi is good, and there are sockets near the bed.

Just one things about breakfast. In Christmas time (I don't know if in other time of the year) you can have breakfast in another hotel...is necessary going there early or could be that a lot of food is finish.

Cozy room, nice wifi, confortable bathroom. Nice to have some stuff in the mini-bar, available to take for a small cost.

We stayed 3 nights and we didnt receive a cleaning any day, we though it was included in the price. Breakfast was really basic, and we saw the fruits and eggs everyday when not taken, It could be better if make some improvements, nothing fancy but can´t ask for much more because of the price. The carpet of the room wasnt clean enough (lot of hair when looking closer)

The room where we stayed was a one-bedroom apartment which had two tvs and lovely balconies. We had a nice view of the city. The room was clean and big enough for a family of five.

While the hotel is located walking distance from the train and bus stations as well as the metro, the area does not seem safe. Although the hotel states in the welcome letter that they have contacts regarding car rental, the lady in reception said, she did not know about any car rental company we could use,
