Budapest Hotel

Chose the hotel mainly for the location only 350 meters from the bus station so was not expecting much. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived so late at 2.30am. We were welcomed by a very nice helpful young gentleman in a lovely hotel reception. Room was as expected fairly basic but with very comfy beds and everything we needed including a kettle with tea and coffee, also complimentary bottle of water. The bathroom was bright modern and like everything else spotlessly clean. The bedding was pristine clean crisp white cotton. We will definitely book again. Breakfast very good

Nothing to dislike everything good value for money. If anything the hallways to the rooms were a big dark

The hotel has a small parking lot (for around four cars, number which can be doubled by blocking the cars in the back) accessible from the street. We received a free upgrade. The room was spacious and had a good natural light due to its big windows. The room was clean, well equipped and modern decorated. The hotel is located in a safe area, quite close to the city center.

Even if the hotel has a parking lot, it has a very limited capacity, therefore you have to synchronize your leaving hour with the other clients in the hotel, due to the possibility of being blocked by one of them. No underground parking. During breakfast, none of the products were labeled; since the staff did not know any other language than Bulgarian, we could not obtain the needed information. The internet signal was poor all around the room. We communicated it to the reception through the Booking apps' chat, but nobody answered.

A very spacious room, large window with nice view. Clean room and bathroom. Water provided in the room. Stuff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast bit poor, but basicly enough, no so much variety. Was no soya or oat milk, I asked from stuff and they gave me low lactose milk instead. We left at 3am in the morning and hotel prepared lunch boxes for us, which was very nice. Very small parking near the hotel, almost never was parking place for us, but you can park free on the street from 7:30pm until 8:30am, this helped us a lot. Location - 3 minutes by car to the center.

Bed and pillows were a bit hard for us :-)

no smiley face on check out desk. when i went down to restaurant for my breakfast that is arranged for 6.45am( it was to pick up bread and veg as lots of stuffs i dont take) - i was told in a loud and stern voice by Romero ( excuse the spelling of name) to go back upstairs to reception to wait till 7am, however the waitress said it was ok as i had made arrangements to collect my food since i had to leave at 7am. Also romero was not happy i could not pronounce his name in Bulgarian correctly- excuse me lor

Very spacious room, cleanliness at a very high level, the personnel was helpful and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was good as well.

There is street noise from the traffic and trams passing by, even though we were on the 5th floor, still you can't get proper sleep and rest as the trams run until late in the evening to start again early next morning. We were not very satisfied with the memory matrasses which left us with a severe back pain, but that is more of a personal preference as we are not keen on sleeping on memory matrasses while others may like them.

The staff was polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast opened early and had all the basics. The hotel is well suited for a stay in between journeys, to rest or break up a long journey - it is 5 min walk from the train and central bus stations.

My room, 405 was a little noisy - but after all this is a capital city, one can not expect all traffic to stop. there is one bulb on the wall light that was "dead" - but that was a minor issue and I am sure if I had said something it would have been changed. I was just too tired and needed sleep.

The room was very comfortable and clean with food bathroom facilities. The location was great and it didn't take long to walk into the centre of Sofia. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the food in the restaurant was delicious and well priced.

The only negative was that on the weekend the breakfast wasn't replenished as quickly as needed, so there were certain items that weren't there. But the breakfast itself was delicious.

The room was really spacious yet cosy. I asked for a room on a higher floor in advance, and my request was kindly fulfilled, so the view was also nice. The complimentary bottled water was of very good quality. We really liked the breakfast, truly English type, the choice of pastries is remarkable (only come before 9 if you'd like to try all the options). The receptionists were very amiable and helpful. They really went an extra mile to ensure we have a free parking, we're very grateful for that. Everything was comfortable, not a single inconvenience.

It was the 3rd or 4th time in Sofia and this time we decided to go hiking on Vitosha. We chose Budapest hotel to be around the center area, which is located close enough to the hotel (15 minutes walk or one metro station to Serdika). We really enjoyed our time at the hotel, which is fully equipped, with modern furniture, and clean. We liked the breakfast, it was fresh and diverse enough, but most of all we appreciated the kindness of the hotel’s staff, they helped us with everything they could do and ensure that our time spent in Sofia is valuable. The location is also very good, there are small shops and a bank quite close to the hotel. We would consider coming back to this hotel as it had everything we could hope for a short trip in Sofia.

You should know that parking in Sofia is quite tabu as most of the hotels do not provide it or you are additionally charged for it. Budapest hotel has its private parking place, free of charge, but it is quite small and you might have to wait for another car to be moved in order to get out. Nonetheless, it was no more than 10 minutes of waiting and we used this time to find a bank, so I would not consider this thing to be a big deal.

It’s our second time here, and we keep enjoying this place. The room is spacious, nice interior, a comfy bed and a bath with a bathtub, which is a rarity these days. Very nice breakfast, quite a choice for different tastes. The receptionists are very helpful and friendly. The compliment glass-bottled water is a nice touch to all the advantages.

The air conditioner was a bit noisy at times, but it might be because we wanted too low a temperature for this season:) As soon as it was set from 16 to 18 degrees, it got back to normal.
