Belambra City - Magendie

The hotel is within walking distance from the metro stations (Les Gobelins and Glaciere) and very close to rue Mouffetard which makes eating out extremely convenient. A colleague and I accompanied a group of 20 students and both the booking process and checking in was easy. The staff was helpful in writing and in person, too, and was ready to cater for our students' needs. The breakfast is substantial and varied for a 2 star hotel.

Some of the rooms' windows on the 4th and 5th floors wouldn't close properly letting some street air pass through the room and the elevator for 2 people wouldn't stop on the 5th floor. The dining hall might get full easily as it's quite small for hosting several floors of guests showing up simultaneously.

There was nothing I didn't like. This is incredible value for money and I will be staying every time I travel to Paris. It does say there is a hairdryer in the room which there isn't but you can get one from reception for free!

The location had quick links to all major sites, landmarks and museums. The breakfast was only continental but was more than enough for what I needed, all produce was fresh and tasty. The bed was comfortable, big and had a plug right next to the bed. There was also hangers, a desk and chair with a garden view. The bathroom was small but had everything I needed. 10/10 experience. Reception manned 24/7 and secure, free luggage storage.

I could hear the child of the guest next door who was a little loud but nothing unmanageable: walls a little thin.

Good location. 10 minutes to either metro line 6 which takes you to Trocadero station to see the Eiffel Tower or the metro line 7 to go to the city centre. The first room we were given was tiny and more suitable for a single traveller. After explaining our situation (mom travelling with tall teenager!) the wonderful receptionist gave us a room which was a little bigger with a large bed. The breakfast was very good and had all the french essentials! Overall the hotel was clean, the staff very kind and helpful, and the beds were comfortable. If you want to get a little bit of authenticity in a Parisian neighbourhood book this hotel!

The hotel was very good, for the price it was excellent. The room was tiny but very CLEAN, comfy and warm. The individual bed was big and very comfortable. The pillow wasn't very good, so if you have trouble with pillows, bring your own. The breakfast was ok, there was no fruit and the coffee was acceptable, but for the price, I paid it was great. I had a really good stay and the staff's attention was kind and nice!

We are really satisfied with our stay in Magendie hotel. We spent 5 nights, with breakfast included (which was diverse and delicious as well!). The hotel is on the great location, quiet and safe, and in 30-40 minutes walk you're already next to the Seine river! The hotel staff was really kind and we've had our room cleaned on a daily basis, with new towels, shampoos etc... And one of the most important things for us - no bugs. We really enjoyed our stay here and will surely come back!

I found some of staff to be very accommodating. The desks in the rooms are much too small to work on so they allowed me to use their conference room when it was not in use, which was the case for most of my stay so it was really an excellent solution for me.

And I found that some of the staff was not friendly, especially, the staff in the breakfast room. I always got the sense that they were not happy with the guests. I also asked the woman at the registration desk when I was leaving if I should leave a tip for the people who cleaned the rooms. She said that in France no but that in Spain this was often done. Then she said that many of the guests left tips for the people like her at the registration desk, the people who interacted with the guests. I found that to be strange. I did not leave her a tip and she was still very polite to me, it just seemed that she would tell me that the guests tipped like her. Maybe they do?

the breakfast is very good, the location is very good , for the room they clean everyday and change towels, we are surprised when we get back to the hotel they cleaned and change towels and rug everyday, we stayed 4 nights.

it's just that some people in the hotel doesn't think other people, they make noise when they arrive or leave the hotel, and when they leave, they will not hold the door from opening so it will bang so hard that could make you awake . and we did not realized that the room was small for 2 person plus luggages.

The hotel itself was nice and located in a good area. We were able to reach all key locations via the subway. Also, it was quite warm in the room, which might be an issue at some European hotels. Also, the staff was very friendly and always happy to provide whatever was required, including a hairdryer.

Unfortunately, there was neither fridge nor a kettle in the room. Also, the choice during breakfast was quite limited. There was a scramble, and it was tasty, but the problem is we got it only once out of four attempts - it was prepared only once every day for the whole breakfast time (from 6:30 to 10:00 am).

I think the best thing about the hotel was its breakfast :) The food was super delicious, especially its croissants :) The staff was very helpful and kind. The location was very good ( it is close to Pantheon) . I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Paris.

There is nothing we don't like about the hotel, maybe the rooms could have been a bit larger, but that's okay because we knew that it was a price/performance hotel :)
