Excelsior Batignolles

Amazing location, really close to gare du nord, literally a 15/20 mins walk to the centre of Monmarte, sacre ceour. Extremely close to everything, other land marks, was also about a 20 min walk to the louvre, palais garnier etc. Walking aside, transport was extremely easy, loads of easy bus routes to landmarks and about a couple minutes walk from 2 hotspot stations, rome and place de clichy. This made going to places that were a bit further away even easier, such as versailles. i believe from rome station it was a direct train to arc de triomphe. that aside, it was a pleasant hotel, clean, super close to a bunch of shops, really easy and smooth trip.

one tiny problem that we did not care about much was that the room was quite cold, there was heaters in the bathroom, and another is the alarm kept on going off but we never mentioned it at reception otherwise im sure the staff would have sorted it out.

What a hidden gem this was, eloquently tucked away from busy main roads but with easy transport links and great cafe's and restaurants nearby made it perfect. The room itself was clean, beautifully finished and comfortable.

On the day of check out, we were confronted by another guest and the receptionist accusing us of going into another guest's room and stealing their money. After a few minutes discussing the guest came to the conclusion that it wasn't us and apologised. Whilst this may of being a case of mistaken identity, my suggestion would be for the staff to get their facts straight before painting us out to be criminals. Apart from our stay being magical, this as you can imagine left a very sour taste in our mouth.

great hotel, spacious room (503). we heard our neighbors just once when they came back at the evening and that is it. i was very sceptic about this hotel booking because of reviews - noise, loud floors, thin walls etc. but honestly this is a very great hotel and our room was wonderful. no mold in the bathroom, no smell, nothing. towels were changed everyday, no cleaning was needed as we stayed only 3 nights. great neighborhood with a good supermarket and restaurants.

floor could have been a little bit cleaner, but other than that it was all good.

I forgot my stuff after I left the hotel, the hotel receptionist (Big thanks to Ziane, you are an awesome guy!) was really helpful, and immediately after I called went to check and put my stuff into a box and putted it in the secured office. Moreover about the accomodation; The hotel has a really low pricepoint for Paris, while it is situated in a really nice and peaceful neighborhoud. The beds were really comfortable, the climate system worked perfectly, so it was nice and cool in the room while it was hot outside. There was little to no sound from outside, you did hear noices from other rooms directly attached to this one but it didn't worsen the experience. The hotel was also accessible 24 hours, which ment that we could have some nightlife activities and were still able to enter the hotel. The rooms were really clean, and their were multiple metro's as close as 5-10 minutes by foot.

Change the towels when cleaning the rooms, because now we still had wet towels if we wanted to shower.

- comfy bed and mattress - spacious room - good location (near metro station and Place de Clichy - where you can find multiple super markets and restaurants) - no noise from outside (quiet area/street)

- noise from the other rooms (on the same floor and from above); the rooms have very low soundproofing. You could hear everything what was going on in the other rooms or on the hallway - the parquet on the room floor was squeaking at every step

Spacious room, nicely decorated, clean, Comfortable bed and pillows Nice neighbourhood - not noisy at night, at the same time there are plenty of cafes/restaurants nearby, close to the metro station, walking distance to Gare St Lazare - I found it very convenient as I was travelling to Normandy as well

Very good location! Good value for money. The room was quite big for Paris Hotel. Friendly staff!

creaky floor (a bit broken even), the cleaning lady was just making the bed and change towels. In one of the drawers we found garbage, left by previous guests. The walls are also pretty thin. But we almost didn't have any neighbours, so this time it was ok.

location is in a very lively neighborhood. staff is very friendly and nice. Views from the window is unreal.

sheets weren’t very clean and we had to ask for toilet paper instead of it being replaced when the room was cleaned. also the rooms a flor under us smoked and we woke up every morning to cigarette smell.

Easy to get to Clean and tidy Room is exactly that.. just a room with a bathroom, separate toilet which is so tiny Looks nice and bed is comfortable

No news or anything really on tv in English.. Subtitles doesn’t work. Not a major but would of been nice! Floors are squeaky as previous reviews mentioned but you get use to it being noisy

The location, the price and the friendly staff are all great.

i have a tiny complaint which should really only apply to the room I was in (room 3). The room was actually build in the middle of the courtyard and the floor insulation is pretty bad. I stayed during a cold December night and couldn’t walk barefoot on the floor. Just bring slipper just in case :) (the heating system, including the towel heater, worked great)
