Gavarni

The room was nicely decorated and clean. The bed was large and comfortable. The staff were so pleasant and restored our faith in the Parisian hospitality industry! And the location is fantastic. Short walk from Passy metro station and trocadero. Loads of cafes/bars/shops around. And lovely views of the Eiffel Tower nearby.

The room was small even for just a couple to get around. Bath/shower is tiny but it’s a very good shower. Quite noisy, we could hear the guest next door receiving text messages the walls were so thin… but this is probably just the nature of the old building! Got lots of character and overall I really liked this hotel.

The staff were wonderful. They upgraded me to a room a view of the Eiffel Tower with no extra charge. The room was very nice and the bed was super comfortable. Location was perfect! Highly recommend!

The breakfast was very simple, continental. A hot breakfast would have been nice for what you are paying.

The breakfast was generous, the offer was the same for each day, but satisfactory. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. The location is just awesome, it's a 5-minute walk to the Passy subway station or Trocadero gardens with one of the nicest views of the Eiffel tower (by no surprise, the Eiffel tower is very close within a short walk distance).

Everything was great except the interior doors between the rooms resulting in the fact that we could have heard every single word from the next room even when the other couple was whispering or snoring during the night :-D. I also don't quite understand the reason behind these doors since they are locked (on purpose :-)) and probably used for easier facilitation of the cleaning service :-).

Made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived to when we left a week later. We arrived at 11am, so a long time before check in, but we were able to leave our luggage and able to sit in the little lounge area. Staff at breakfast were friendly. Good choice of drinks. The boys enjoyed getting a jug of hot chocolate. The buffet was a small area but crammed in a big selection. Cheese, meats, boiled eggs bacon, sausage, scrambled egg and crepes.. several breads and little pastries. The beds were comfortable. The area was quite quiet but it was just a short walk to the passy metro station (Hotel provide a map) the eiffel tower is about a 10min walk and the arc de triomphe about 25. There are lots of restaurants about a 15min walk. There is a franprix about 2mins from the hotel with makes it very cheap to buy bottles of drink/sandwiches on the way to the metro.

The bathroom is very small. The lift is tiny and old fashioned and goes to halfway between the floors so you either have to go up or down steps to get to the room. I rather liked this it's quaint. But not good if you have mobility problems.

We loved Gavarni! We booked a standard room and we’re upgraded to the Junior Suite at no extra cost. The room was gorgeous, clean and with the most incredible view of the Eiffel Tower from the little balcony. 5 minute walk to Passy station. Lots of restaurants and patisseries around. 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. A quiet street, not a super busy area but easy to get to the busy parts of Paris.

We did not mind and it wasn’t an issue but keep in mind the only elevator is very small. We could fit one person and 2 big suitcases or 2 people rather squished at a time. Didn’t bother us at all but it could be an issue for some.

Excelent location. Beds were comfortable, friendly staff, excelent wi fi signal. Value for money fantaetic. Room was small, but you cant really complain because it has everything that you need, for such a low price.

Room was a bit cold. I think loby reception was warmer. It was good for sleeping, but overall definitely a bit colder, and you couldnt increase heating. O yeah, and electric socket near bed didnt work, which means I couldnt charge my phone and use it while laying in bed, which was annoying. All this downsides warent that big of a deal. Still would recomend

First and most important was our Paris angel Kamel. Super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Had lots of information where things were and how to get to them. Great conversations and arranging a driver for the big concert and airport transportation. Big supermarket located in lower level of the 7 story mall that also had a deli just a short walk away. Very good cafe, Malineau located a couple streets away. Location to Eiffle tower was an easy walk. Very safe and friendly area of Paris. Absolutely loved our stay in Paris.

Having the AC shut off automatically which seems to be the norm in Europe, us Americans aren't used to that.

Our attic room was a beautiful combination of modern design and original elements and felt luxurious. The setup was great and I'd have loved to stay more than one night. Bonus points for having a fridge and a spacious shower, and an elevator that eliminates most of the stairs.

The room was stifling when we arrived, and we got worried, but the issue was resolved within minutes when we opened the attic windows and turned on the fan. But I'm not sure how well that would work when it gets above 80°F in Paris. The stairs for reaching our room were quite narrow and challenging, so I would let the hotel know if that is not doable for you.

We had two rooms. One is called Versailles, it is beautifully decorated with a cute balcony where we can see the top of Eiffel tower!! The Location of the hotel is very close to metro ( subway ) and 10sih minutes walking to the Eiffel and many shops!! The bathroom attached to Versailles is quite spacious and well lit. The other room is called Trianon, a bit smaller and smaller bathroom. Overall it was a very nice stay and we will stay again . The only thing is the property has a small elevator only can fit 3-4pp ( we have 4 in our group) but the building is only 5 or 6 floors so we don't mind walking up and down. The only time it becomes challenge is when you need to move lug gages. Staff are very friendly and trying to help.

Not much. Only tiny issue withe elevator as i said above. But we managed.

Because we only booked for one night and the situations with the rooms, we were upgraded to a small suite, with a beautiful view. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was very central. The man on check-in was very funny and nice. The next was also very polite. Everything was cared for, the hotel is open 24/7 and reception is always staffed. CHeck out is at 12 which gives you enough time to come back after breakfast and after checkout you can leave your luggage in the reception until you depart later in the day. Very nice!

The shower was lacking for 15 mins after shutting down the water. We contacted the reception and they said it was fine. Still not something to be really upset about, they checked it and it was not of any negative consequences for us.
