Helios Opera

The hotel is situated very close to Galleries Lafayette and Opera, as you can also walk to a number of central bus stations. The hotel itself is very clean and has nice common areas. The room was fairly spacious, the bed and mattress very comfortable and the bathroom included a bathtub and free toiletries/bathrobes/hairdryer. There was a water bottle for each person free of charge every day in the room as well as free tea sachets and a coffee machine, with capsules that were renewed daily. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. I would recommend this boutique hotel to anyone!

If your room is overlooking the road, then it might be slightly noisy from people outside, especially on weekdays early in the morning.

We were greeted with a friendly staff that the hotel reception. They managed to get our rooms next to each other as requested. Rooms were cleaned daily. The location of the hotel is excellent. Firstly, very convenient to a halal kebab shop ( esp so when it is quite difficult to get halal food in Paris). 2ndly, its a mere 5 min walk to Galleries Lafayette ( safe to just walk back to the hotel with your purchases) 3rdly, stretegic location to anywhere around Paris if you are used to walking for about 15 to 30mins. 15mins walk to the Big Bus station to purchase the hop on / off tour bus.

I know we are in France but a 4* hotel needs to have a bidet or at least a shower head. Also, although all the staff was very friendly and helpful, the lady at night I am not sure if she was slow or unhelpful but I needed to print something cause I had an appointment early am, I asked her and she said ok, but she claimed to never receive my emails… I resent her after so many times and lost a lot of time until I finally gave up. The next day the lady printed in 1 sec, it was at the spam. I felt stupid cause I never thought I needed to ask a 4* star receptionist if she checked the spam box….

Nice hotel, very well located. Within walking distance to many attractions, both towards Pigalle as well as towards Sena. It has many types of rooms of various sizes. We booked two de Luxe rooms but we wanted them together so we ended up with 1 de Luxe and 1 executive. The de Luxe room was bright, spacious and comfortable. The other was slightly smaller, but also spacious. The beds were comfortable. The toiletries were Nuxe, and the bathrooms had Bathrobes, which I really liked and found really luxurious. We did not had breakfast in the hotel, so we cannot comment. The staff where very friendly and welcoming. Overall, our stay was very pleasant, and contributed to a great time in Paris. We booked a superb deal through Booking. If I had to pay the price advertised per each room in the entrance, I would have found it too expensive.

The toilet for the executive room was separated from the bathroom and was way too small. My husband had to use ours, as he wouldn’t fit. I had read people complaining of bad smells. We had that one day in the executive room.

I had notification that I had to travel to Paris at the last minute, so booked this hotel without being able to do a lot of research on it. I was pleasantly surprised, and believe Hotel Helios Opera is an undiscovered gem! Beautiful Parisian architecture and the room was comfortable and well stocked. Great location. I didn't have the breakfast, but it smelt wonderful! On departure, I had an hour before I was due to catch the Eurostar. The Receptionist was lovely and served me a coffee and croissant whilst I worked. It's the little things that make all the difference. I am returning to Paris next week, and have automatically booked this hotel.

The only thing I would change is providing English breakfast teabags in the room.

Excellent, responsive staff. Nice location. Breakfast offerings were good (for a daily per-person fee). Bathrobes and slippers provided.

Nice to have hair dryer available but I have not encountered one that requires you to continuously squeeze the handle to get it to run. I realize it is to keep from wasting electricity (admirable) but I found it difficult to hold it so that it stayed on while also reaching around to dry every section of my hair (doing the back was particularly difficult). Very, very awkward. I hope this isn’t what every hotel in Europe offers!

Room was lovely and very clean. Comfy bed. Great to have a bathtub. Breakfast was varied and delicious.

room was a bit too warm even with the thermostat down to 16. With climate change, I think hotels should adjust the temperature to 19 c max.

The hotel style is lovely. The room was adequate for us three and just the right size, not too small. We had everything we needed in the room. Breakfast was lovely, nice bread.

It was a bit noisy through the night. We could hear all the traffic and the road sweepers. That's due to the sound proofing - could be improved. So something to note if you are a light sleeper. The lift is tiny so if you have luggage it's a little bit of a squeeze. However these are just minor things.

I loved our room! It was the Deluxe Double/Twin Room. The room was bigger than I expected because people said the room is small. The bed was comfy and the room was also clean. The location is perfect for shopping (Galerie Lafayette, Place Vendom area) and transportation! The staffs were very friendly and helpful.

Can't think of any! Maybe that the lobby area was dim because the lights were off in the lounge area. It looked like the hotel was closed.
