Hôtel Arvor Saint Georges

My partner and I have stayed many times in the Hotel Arvor over the last two decades. It’s our favourite Paris hotel, so we are already a little prejudiced in our opinions! We love its location, in a very quiet, narrow, curved street in the heart of our favourite arrondissement, the 9th. We like its discreet, bookish, almost intellectual ambience, and especially its understated classy interior design. We also find that the lovely staff and the level of customer service they deliver quite outstanding. Special mention for the the delightful ladies on reception and also the kind and efficient lady who served our breakfast every morning. Breakfast is taken in the openplan ground floor lobby, where huge sofas and shelves of books confirm that intellectual feel, and where reception and the always open kitchen door convey a friendly, casual atmosphere. Of course it hardly needs mentioning that the Arvor Hotel itself is clean, very comfortable and perfect. We loved staying at this hotel. You will too

Nothing we disliked.

Small hotel in a quiet street in the ninth, staff were helpful and professional, we stayed for five nights and would repeat in a heartbeat, the bed was both large and comfortable in a large ( for Paris ) room with an excellent and large bathroom with a shower over the bath which seems to be norm in Paris, no fridge or coffee or tea making facilities but you are a few steps from many small cafes and breakfast is available on site.

The attitude of the staff, the property is well maintained and managed.

This is a low profile, young and stylish home away from home hotel. The location is wonderful, with Rue des Martyrs around the corner, yet incredibly quiet. The metro is around the corner, yet we almost never used it as you can walk everywhere in Paris from here. The people who work in the hotel are incredibly friendly and relaxed. We loved the breakfast! it was rich and carefully done and sitting at the table every morning really made our stay even more relaxing. the lady at breakfast service was also very nice to us.

The rooms are small (very small) but that wouldn’t have bothered us at all, except that for the price we expected a little more care in the details. The walls needed to be cleaned, and the furnishings were a bit too basic for our taste. Mattress could also be of an higher quality for the price you pay.

We really loved the simple, bright and tasteful decoration of the hotel - from the reception and lounge/dining area with its many books, through to the bedroom. Our bed was also extremely comfortable, and although we had no grand view, our courtyard-facing window meant that our room was very peaceful and quiet. The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet street, but close to the wonderful shops, cafes and boulangeries in the charming 9th. We didn't stay for breakfast as we had an early train to catch, but the coffees offered to us were such a treat to end a lovely stay, thank you. We hope to stay again soon, and meet the friendly staff again!

Nothing could have been better.

A lovely, cosy, delightfully arty hotel, where you are welcomed with a big smile from reception staff and some tea and cake. What a great hotel and fantastic staff - could not recommend highly enough! Fantastic location and it was so quiet, which was lovely.

Only complaint was that I wasn't able to work out the room temperature settings and found it a bit too warm - would appreciate some info on this somewhere - apologies if I missed it and it was there, I didn't find it!

The Arvor is ideally located. The surrounding neighborhood is charming, you have everything you need within a few minutes walk, including very nice coffee shops. The room I rented was incredibly quiet (not street side), and the bed is super comfy. I was there on the week-end, I noticed there was a glassed office space right in front of the room window, so there might not be the same privacy during the week. Employees of the hotel are super helpful and charming - and there is someone at the reception 24/7, which is highly convenient.

I was expecting a little bit more charm. The hotel is very simple, reception is nice yet corridors are quite “cold” in terms of atmosphere. There was ongoing renovation in the stairs, I guess, as there were plastic covers on the floor. The rooms are very small and not equipped with coffee machine or boiling pot/tea bags, which I quite got used to in most hotels I rent. Nothing too disturbing, yet at that price level, I was expecting it to be available. It remains however an excellent choice and I was very happy with my stay.

The room was beautiful, clean sheets and calm atmosphere. The common spaces have a groovy, artsy vibe, with gorgeous framed posters and a huge number of novels, art books, and coffee table books. Neighborhood is full of restaurants and boulangeries. Great stay!

The family above us was super noisy, as was the baby next door. Not the hotel's fault, but not much sound-proofing.

Staff were excellent, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast room was comfortable and the breakfast very tasty and well presented. The hotel is in a great area for supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and bars. it is very close to the Metro so getting around Paris was easy.

Our room was just a bit on the small side but comfortable enough for a couple.

The staff was amazing- second to none & sincere! The hotel was lovely & clean. The rooms were large & updated. The breakfast was delicious. The location is wonderful! We finally felt as if we had just arrived in the real Paris.

The only thing stopping my review from being a 10 was the king bed. Felt as it was was just box springs. A bed topper or egg crate would help this easily. Twin bed was comfy.

Great location and value if you are looking to spend time in Paris, located on a nice quiet street in the 9th. We decided not to get breakfast in the hotel as it seemed a bit expensive, and there are many great nearby boulangeries/cafes we decided to eat at instead. Comfortable bed and big bathroom. I would highly consider staying here again and would recommend it to others!

Only issue we had was when we checked in, the room didn't have any garbage cans or towels, but it was quickly addressed when we brought it up with the staff. It would have been nice to have a bit more closet / storage space for our clothes, but it was manageable.
