Hotel Plaza Elysées

We stayed for 2 nights with my bf for a romantic weekend and we are satisfied with it, as we didn't spend a lot of time in a room but rided the bicycle along the Sena river, had the long walks, etc :)) - location is very good - the street is rather quiet (we asked and had a room to the yard without 'the view' and any balcony, however it was rather cold for that so we were not upset about that) - the personnel was very nice - dysol hairdryer and humidifier were as a funny compliment - in general the cleaners was good

- soundproofing (luckily we had no neighbours, otherwise maybe it could be more unpleasant), but it's not a surprise for the building in the center of the city - our room was rather used (furtiture, decorations, etc), but we knew that it's not a new hotel at all - the wardrobe is too small for a long stay - the bathroom was full of water every time after (bizarre that there is not door in it) - we didn't have the breakfasts so no idea about it :)

the hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

just a small but petty thing, only 2 teabags supplied to the room which we used straight away and when we asked for some more at reception I was told there would be a charge if we wanted more. I said no thanks and went bought some in the shop.

At the day of arrival we were welcomed by 2 kind men at the reception. We were brought to our room which had courtyard view, we asked for another room with street view, this was no problem and we were guided to our new beautiful room. The location of the hotel is perfect and the room has all the facilities you need.

Unfortunately not all employees of the reception were hospitable. We paid the deposit on the day of arrival in cash (10 x €20) and on the day of departure we got 2x €100 which we did not like to walk around with that kind of big money so we asked kindly to get the money back that we gave. The staff told us several times (annoyed) that was not possible. They even told us we could go to the bank to exchange the money. After I sort of demanded the money we gave it was all of a sudden possible. We got the money but the man seemed very annoyed and as if it was a lot of effort for him.

location location location was excellent literally 5mins from the Arc de T & Champs the Elysees hotel staff were very nice, really friendly & helpful in assisting us with organising tours etc. The check out at 12midday was brilliant on our last day Our rooms were gorgeous & very spacious with all the modern facilities including Japanese style toilet!!!!

Nothing

The location was absolutely amazing - short stroll from the champs-elysees and plenty of shops, bars and cafes around. Loved the dyson fan and hairdryer in the room, plus little toiletries in the bathroom and rooms were always made up lovely each day. I literally booked this hotel with 5 minutes to spare before arriving at Gare du nord on the Eurostar. Very impressed that they allowed us to drop off our bags early and come back to check in and even that they were able to accommodate us full stop! The soundproofing is amazing, literally can’t hear a thing of the traffic outside when the windows / doors are shut.

Being in the centre of Paris it’s a big ask but a slightly bigger room would have been lovely, however this did not negatively impact upon our stay.

Looks gorgeous, under renovation, and it's a great job. The best is the Japanese bidet.

You do hear it when someone has a shower, the pipes are loud.

The location / furnitures

I Am booked two executive rooms for six nights , yet they didn’t get us an access to an executive lounge (if any )! Also the AC in my room was controlled by the people in the front disc every day I had to give them a a call to switch it on , it had been locked electronically and even if it works it didn’t work properly . I reported the problem but there was no a definite answer/solution which really effect me sleeping well during my stay ( being my room on the street so it was so annoying in case I open the window ) Also the room was small , can’t comfortably move inside it.

Fantastic hotel will definitely stay again !! From the moment we checked in Estella on front desk was brilliant and so helpful gave me a list of her restaurant recommendations close to hotel. I was travelling with my daughter celebrating her 18th birthday, when we got to our room it was full of balloons and Birthday banner such a wonderful suprise !!! The room was spotless and the bed was so comfy. Our room had a balcony !! Fab big bathroom and the Dyson hairdryer was a nice treat!! Great location great decor and felt very safe staying there. All the staff were so friendly and really made you feel welcome

there was nothing I didn’t like

Breakfast was lovely and a really impressive spread. Rooms were large for Paris, great bathroom, amenities like a kettle/shower cap/toiletries, gown and slippers etc. Location was fantastic for us going to our business meetings but it is quite a quiet spot for sightseeing, especially a weekends.

Being badgered to pay for a room upfront even though details were secured with a credit card. I understand this is the policy, but the email from booking.com says you will pay on checkout.

The breakfast was so lovely. I looked forward to waking up in the morning to fresh coffee and lots of healthy choices. There was even champagne for those who wanted a mimosa to start the day! The front staff were very helpful and, fortunately for us, spoke English well enough to answer all our questions. The toilets had a motion sensor lid opening and closing which was kind of neat as was the warm water bidet. Walking distance to great restaurants, shopping, and lots of sightseeing. The area was clean and felt safe.

The shower was a bit different in that there was no curtain or barrier to keep the water from getting the floor wet. I believe it was because it was a wheelchair accessible room so understandable.
