This was a 10/10 stay. Firstly meeting the staff they were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is what I could describe as “Perfect in Paris” gives you everything you need. The bathroom was luxury and the shower was out of this world. We even commented on how it was being cleaned 24/7. This will become OUR hotel in Paris going forward. Would recommend to everyone I know!

There’s nothing not to like.

The location cannot be beat. Foot traffic only on streets leading up to the Hotel, so safe walking, without worrying about walking in front of a car. Cute restaurants right outside your door that lined the streets. At night on Friday/Saturday, the nightlife was great (We have 3 kids, so did not partake, but would have been perfect for a couple without kids). A little bookshop just feet away, and THE BEST Patisserie a couple doors down that we stopped at each morning for coffee, etc. before heading out for the day. The Metro super close too. The church is beautiful, and our top floor suite used to be the High Priest Quarters. Beautiful!!! Everything original (beams, wood work, etc.). A little over 100 steps to get up to the top suite, and we thought it was cool. Great exercise 😊, and a little more isolated. The service is top notch. You have to stop at the Reception desk on the way up always to pick up/drop off room key on arrival/departure (only one key for each room, and they don’t want them to get lost—-so you ring the bell to get buzzed in each time at front door). we did not mind at all because everyone was so pleasant (and they had little French candies, croissants, Espresso readily available that we liked to Indulge in 😊). Special shout out to Miguel. So very pleasant, helpful in every way, and just really nice to talk to. I would love to stay here again.

Honestly, we loved everything about it. if I had to pinpoint one thing that was not a favorite (per my kids), I would say the walk-in shower. It is in the far corner; however, with no door to separate it from the sink, and being close to the bed, my kids were not fans. We just made sure everyone was on the other side if the suite when someone showered. You just have to get in the shower, get undressed, through your clothes out of the shower, THEN start the water. Not a big deal to my husband and I, but to tweens it is 😊. They still loved staying there, though, and would do again.

beautiful room design! friendly staff, nice breakfast idea that you order what you want

really bad eggs for breakfast. We had scrambled eggs and they were honestly the worst. As a scramble egg expert - this is what you do for 2 people: 1) crack 5-6 eggs eggs directly to a pot with NO butter or oil. 2) slowly start to heat the stove to medium heat, and slowly stir (no whisk needed and NO salt and pepper. the salt will ruin the egg. 3) the eggs with start to thicken as a even mass/liquid. 4) when the eggs start looking a little scrambled, add a teaspoon of butter to melt with the eggs. 5) when there is no more liquid left and the eggs has scrambled while being moist, add salt and pepper and remove from stove - you’re welcome!

Where do you start with this property, gorgeous location, old priests quarters converted into cute little Parisian rooms. The surrounding streets are filled with charm and character to suit the traveler looking for the paris experience, with small balcony’s overlooking the streets. The windows shut to complete silence, not a whisper from the street. The staff are welcoming, helpful and willing to do anything to help your stay. You will not be disappointed staying here. Bed was comfy.

Not much to not like really, carrying bags up stairs is expected in paris, however the staff helped every chance they could. Didn’t have a negative in our stay, oh except for the tile setout of the shower allowed water to leak into the main bathroom area, they provided plenty of towels so it wasn’t an issue.

Spacious, well appointed room. Great bathroom. Good air conditioning. Overall very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Whilst the breakfast was brought to the room it was very good, plenty to eat and very tasty. The hotel is in a busy location but the thick walls and double glazed windows meant that it was quiet inside.

The wifi was terrible - we didn't expect it to be brilliant but it was almost none existent. This meant that the TV didn't work either. The rooms are accessed by a spiral staircase with no lift making moving luggage difficult - that said the staff were very helpful with that.

Breakfast was very nice, and the location perfect! Even though it's clearly a historical building, which the hotel makes sure to make the most of, everything felt very clean and to a high standard. Staff were very friendly too.

Not a complaint at all as it did not bother us as a family unit, but be aware if you are staying in the top room and you're a big group and not related, that the only toilet is only accessible by going through one of the bedrooms. There is still an extra shower/sink in the main room though. Also some street noise, but again, this will apply everywhere in this area, and this room being so high up it's probably quieter than most other places!

This is a wonderful quirky place to stay. Right in the heart of the Marais. Surrounded by all manner of activity and bars and restaurants. It is within really easy walking distance of many of Paris's attractions. The room we had was surprisingly large. In fact larger than some modern hotels we have stayed in. Beamed ceilings, quintessential view of Paris Street architecture out the window, etc. The bathroom was absolutely fabulous. Staff were superb.....always helpful and gave a very obvious intent of wanting to help....... most unusual (but greatly appreciated) for Paris. The stairway to rooms is 'to die for'. OK they are a bit steep, but they helped you realise just what this building was originally and made you feel part of Central Paris. I know that sounds a bit 'poetic', but that is really what it did for us. STAY HERE....you will not regret it.

Absolutely nothing

The location is. Dry central which make commuting to all the major attractions very easy. The hotel is part of a very old church, hence the name. The decor is tasteful and the renovation was well designed. The staff Miguel is very helpful and friendly.

I am sure the pillow cases and bed linens were changed. However, there was still bad odours from previous use which suggested the inside pillows and beddings have not been sanitized for a long while. I have to place a towel on top of my pillows, but the bad smell from the quilt still bothers me.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful! So much wonderful character and charm whilst also fresh, modern, and comfortable. It really felt like somewhere special and not just another hotel. For a city, the room was spacious and in particular the bathroom which had a very large shower. The location is fabulous with two metro stations about 3 mins away, the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Seine only a short walk away. The area is filled with cute restaurants and bars which serve till late so super easy for a late evening meal after a day exploring. The staff were friendly and available 24/7 with the man who checked us in and out especially so - he even carried our cases to and from the room (not as easy as it sounds if you had felt the weight of them).

Our room was located right on the stairwell so was a little noisy when other guests arrived and left or if staff were talking - there seems to be little to no soundproofing on the doors and walls. Similarly, the beautiful French doors do allow for some street noise to come in (nothing too disruptive but definitely noticeable). Our hairdryer kept cutting out - we did report this to a staff member who said they checked it and it was fine but the problem continued the rest of the trip. There is no lift in this beautiful old building so if you can’t manage stairs then this is not the place for you.
