Hotel Luna Park

localisation is great - near metroline, shops, parhmacies and restaurants on every corner, very friendly personel, rooms and bathroom was clean and it was cleaned daily

streets at night are very noisy (because of pubs nearby) and walls are thin - you can hear people from rooms around you; there is no kettle in the hotel so you can't make yourself tea/coffee, but you can buy it for 1€ from vending machine downstairs; no lift (this wasn't disadvantage for me but for some people might be)

Fantastic value for money, private toilet and basin was a bonus for us as we were expecting fully shared bathroom facilities. Great location in Paris, very close to the metro. Staff are there 24/7 even over Christmas. Housekeeping even continued over this time. Flexible check in was provided even when we didn’t ask. Room was warm and comfortable. Soaps were provided.

It wasn’t a problem for us but we noticed that sound really travels through the property so if you are a light sleeper and like to sleep in/go to bed early, it may not be for you. Also not a problem for us but something to be aware of is a steep spiral staircase so large and heavy luggage could be challenging to manage.

I'm really happy with my stay at Hotel Luna Park. The room was very basic, but that was really perfect for our time in Paris. We had clean towels, sheets and the room was made up daily. The staff were really friendly and attentive (thank you to each one of you). The room was warm (great because it's November) and had a hair dryer. The location is really great for walking around on foot, by metro and there are a lot of options for food/dining. It was a great stay for a great price.

Our stay was great. The only thing I would suggest is a kettle in the room as we love to have a warm tea before bed every night.

Friendly staff, room was immaculate, good neighborhood as far as I could tell. The 24/7 staff downstairs are great. It is so good that there is something in Paris that is clean and affordable that has more privacy than a hostel. The tiny minuses in my review are just that - tiny, compared to how great it is to have a place like this in Paris.

I shared a shower down the hall, and there wasn't much room to slip something on before stepping into the hallway in there! There also wasn't really a pillow case, just the pillow sham. I rested my head on a towel, which worked fine. But these things were minor.

The staff were excellent in all aspects; super helpful and always very friendly. We had to change our flight due to weather conditions, so we were arriving a day earlier in Paris than we initially planned. I called the hotel and they added an additional night with no problem. We just payed for the extra night when we arrived, it was very convenient. The bed was more comfortable than we expected. The bed was made every day and the room tidied up; something we weren't initially expecting seeing as the hotel has only one star. The location was near perfect for us. Lots of bakeries and restaurants in close proximity to the hotel, and a metro stop just a 2 minute walk away. From the hotel we could travel to almost anywhere we wanted via metro within 20 minutes. In summary, I don't think you will find a better hotel for the money. The friendly staff, the convenient location, and the general feel of staying there all made it a great choice for our 4 night stay. Don't let the one star fool you, you will be pleasantly surprised at how nice it is staying at Luna Park.

The room could have been a bit cleaner when we arrived. There was some dust under the bed and the radiator, but otherwise it was clean enough. The water in the shower kept going from hot to cold sporadically while we were showering. It didn't make it impossible to shower, just made us take a bit longer because we needed to adjust the temperature so often.

Finding nice and affordable places in Paris is not easy, and that's why I was so impressed by Luna Park! The hotel has an amazing location, near subway stations and all you might need, incredible and friendly English-speaking staff, 24h reception and pretty great rooms! They are small but functional and perfect for solo travellers. I stayed in one with private toilet and shared shower, and everything was great. The bed was comfortable, it was clean, towels were great, there were bath amenities, plugs by the bed, TV, great hair dryer, storage space and window with a great view. The shared shower was always clean and was pretty nice, with decent space for you to shower and change. Furthermore, WiFi worked well and I had a pretty nice stay. Would recommend and stay in Luna Park in other opportunities.

Worth noting there are no elevator and AC, which is normal for Paris and did not bother me.

The room is small, yet quite clean and nice. We were even provided a fan which is really crucial in this summer. The location is good. It’s not close to the center, but you can walk to the train station nearby in several minutes. The staff is nice. Moreover, we forgot a charger after we checked out. I messaged the team a day after and asked if they had seen it, by any chance. They responded yes, and helped keep it for me until I returned and got it. Totally a nice stay.

Dont have elevator. We stayed in the 5th floor, so a bit tired to bring up your luggage. but this is understandable as not having a lift is common around Europe

I had a very pleasant stay at Luna Park, the hotel manager and staff are all very polite, welcoming and friendly, I felt safe and welcomed during my stay. The front desk being open 24h is convenient. My room was clean, had everything I needed (very good hair dryer!) as well as a great view of the square below. For the price and in this location, absolutely no complaints from me!

Regarding the complaints in other reviews here about lots of stairs, thin walls and old pipes: it's Paris, it's going to be like that. The hotel's staircase is indeed narrow, there are many steps and 5 floors, so keep that in mind when traveling with big and heavy luggage or ask about a room on the first or second floor.

Staff - always friendly, courteous, helpful, went out of their way to make me welcome and comfortable. Room - small, but spotlessly clean, warm, adequate for my needs, good tv and wifi, en suite toilet and washbasin. Shared shower was also small but spotless with plenty of hot water. Hotel has clearly been recently renovated. Location - brilliant; Metro or bus 150m, laundromat 20m, pharmacy 80m, marts 100m, 2 great bakeries <50m, restaurants or food outlets <100m included French, Thai, Chinese, Lebanese, Japanese, Moroccan etc. Value for money through the roof. If this sounds like a paid advert or a friend's review, that's unfortunate. Simple truth is that Luna Park is the best budget accom I've encountered in four trips to Paris. Wouldn't consider elsewhere now.

When flight problems on departure from Paris caused me to need another night's accom, they were booked out. Bummer.

This hotel is great value for money especially in such an expensive city like Paris. I specifically needed a place near the Bataclan for a concert, the hotel was 5 minutes walking distance from it. It is also very close to one of the metro stations which easily took me to central Paris. The room was perfect size for a single person and I loved that I had an en-suite toilet (only the shower is shared). Staff was very accommodating, despite I arrived late and I checked out quite early, there’s someone at reception at all hours.

The only downside is there is no lift and my room was at the top floor. This paid off for a characteristic view of the city, and if you are sports/backpacking the steps shouldn’t be a problem!
