Arion Athens Hotel

Location. Location. Location. We booked an upper room with a view of the Acropolis and the night time view was SPECTACULAR. We even went to the rooftop terrace (one floor up) for an even better view.

The lighting over the sink in the bathroom is insufficient for shaving. The shower door leaked out on to the bathroom floor. Fortunately, the floor mat contained most of the water. The elevator failed with my wife in it. Fortunately, it did not take too long for the 'rescue'. A 'night light' outside the toilet would be helpful to keep from stumbling in the dark.

The location was convenient but the area was a bit sketchy after dark, as the streets around were poorly lit with a lot of derelict buildings. But not unsafe, and less than one minute from a busy, pleasant square.

We were so surprised at the location, hidden in one of the bustling parts of Athens. Close to the train and metro stations, and walking distance to bars, restaurants and historical landmarks. The beds were AMAZING!! I would go back just to sleep in them again. The Roof top terrace has one of the best views of the Acropolis and you can purchase drinks at reception and take them up there to enjoy the view.

The room was nice and spacious, very clean. The view of Acropolis from the room window was a bonus. The breakfast was quite good with nice variety of items. But if you're staying for a few days it might become a bit monotonous, so it might help to change it a bit occasionally. The location of the hotel is excellent as you can walk around most important Athens attractions easily. Also there is a metro station to go anywhere including the airport

The bathroom door didn't have the latch or lock, that made it a bit awkward to use sometimes. Also the aircon adjustment wasn't easily to understand, it became a slightly warm in the night.

Fabulous location - train straight from airport to station five minutes walk from hotel; ten minute walk to the foot of the Acropolis

The reception staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. They helped us check out very early at 5AM, booked us a cab for the airport and even made sure to let us have early breakfast before our flight! Location is really close to the main squares, shopping streets, bars and taverns. The room was spacious and clean :)

Gets pretty noisy at nights on the weekend, even on the 5th floor - but that’s as per the course for the area, so just a head’s up. Location is a bit on the backstreets of the neighborhood - might not be for everyone.

Room is large, bathroom is clean and the bed is comfortable. it’s location is great. Many eateries and it’s just a 200 meter walk to the Monastiraki Sq and metro station. For Muslim traveler like myself there’s 2 halal eateries about 150m away from the hotel. Literally one is not going to be hungry😃😃

No coffee/tea maker provided in the room but you can ask from the reception who very helpful to locate 1 for me.

Great Location, Staff - all super helpful especially the front help desk - esp Nicholas (there were 2 with the same name), they honored our request to have 2 rooms close to each other, the one on 7th floor could be converted into a small apartment (thanks), beds comfortable in quality but move and slide easily, warm water for shower available, the 7th floor roof top got great views of acropolis but there is lot of run-down area around the hotel,

We were expecting to have kettle in room (we had to ask for it and they provided it), could not change the room temperature (luckily it was not hot or cold so worked okay), quality of room infrastructure (like windows, curtains, walls etc.) Give old look (can be upgraded), only one small elevator goes to 7th floor (should improve), breakfast simple and overall sufficient but can be improved (esp quality of warm food items, some boiled eggs not boiled well, no omelete options, no fry egg option either, breakfast place pretty basic and congested)

Large, quiet room with an incredible balcony view of the Acropolis. Good selection at the breakfast buffet. Excellent location 2 minutes from restaurants, 5 minutes from Monastiraki Square, and 15 minutes from the Acropolis main entrance.

Mattress was a little harder than I usually like, the area around the immediate entrance was a little run down (graffiti, empty buildings) although the hotel itself was very smart and we did not feel unsafe at all.
