Dorian Inn - Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

The pool area and view was excellent 👌. The housekeeping staff were very helpful and efficient .

The steel corners on the beds are very dangerous, my husband and myself were cut on more than one occasion

We stayed at the Dorian Inn for four nights in October 2023, was great value for money, we were on the 11th Floor with a good sized bedroom with very comfortable bed and a large bathroom. Room service was great soft white towels every day and shower gel, shampoo, body lotion and soap supplied and topped up every day. The roof top bar is a must with its amazing views to the Acropolis It’s only a couple of minutes walk to Omonia metro and from there just 1.1euro to anywhere in Athens Breakfast was very good traditional eggs, bacon, sausages etc to cold meats and cheese, cereals, cakes, croissants etc plus tea/coffee/fruit juices on tap.

Great position to Ammonia square, train station and hop on hop off buses. 10 min walking distance to Monastaraki and Plaka. Taxis east access via hotel. Pool and pool roof top bar excellent. Amazing view of the acropolis. Room 1007 big balcony and stunning view at night of Acropolis. Breakfast located on 2nd floor is excellent. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Lifts are little slow and small. The area, a little extra care is needed at night. We walked at night late and all good but be aware of people lying in the streets and trying to sell you stuff. Be polite and all will be ok. Walk during the day is better. Taxi at night.

Stayed in July and Sept 23 when we arrived in Athens and left. Great location. Omonia square nearby. Close to Hondos Center, metro, monastraki and Plaka. Can walk to all these locations. Comfy beds and aircon worked well. Great buffet breakfast, staff friendly & helpful in dining room. Easy access to taxis outside. Pharmacy and periptero close by. Best Western Hotel. Lots of aussies travelling. Pool is excellent and pool roof top bar menu is good. Red hop on & hop off bus stop is up the road near Omonia fountain. 5 min walk.

Lift is narrow and only two. When the travellers from Contiki arrive it’s a struggle to get into an elevator. But everyone is very friendly and you converse with travellers while waiting for the lift. Omonia can be a little shady but I didn’t feel unsafe at all. Walked home with hubby at 2am and all good.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. Bathroom was clean and large. Bed was comfy. Upstairs bar/restaurant was great. The veiw from the rooftop was amazing.

The breakfast could be skipped. The hot items were cold by the time I sat down with my plate. I had an incident in my room with my bed. The metal under piece on the corner was exposed and scratched my leg multiple times. I told the front desk and they exchanged my room.immediately, but my roomier had things everywhere so I asked to stay in the room. So the front desk clerk went to my room and covered the metal with a towel and tape so I wouldn't get hurt again. I was happy with the solution and attentiveness to my complaint

I stayed at the Dorian during Athens Music Week and the hotel was positioned between all the activities I wanted to do while in town. The view was amazing. Nice, clean, and quiet property, which is tough to achieve in a bustling city like Athens. I was able to both enjoy a nice walk around town and relax on the rooftop cafe/bar later in the evening.

I needed more time to also enjoy a dip in the pool. (Not really a bad thing, just more to do next time we are in town. Nothing more to add. I am looking forward to staying in the hotel again.

As expected from this type of hotel, professional friendly staff, clean facilities, huge buffet breakfast. Loved the roof terrace.

Unfortunately, pool hours coincide with the time one is out visiting Athens so did not enoy it whereas it was one of the reasons we chose the hotel. The fridge is placed in a box which made it more like an oven than a fridge but we took it out to allow for air circulation and it worked fine. Also, the lifts took a long time given the high number of people using them.

The pool on the top, and the room. AC work’s perfectly. We slept well. We have been for 4 nights with a 3 years old kid. I don’t recommended a visit to acropolis with a kid, it was to hot, and it takes time to get up on 35-40 c. But it was not a big deal. The kid like every other kid, to many questions on that temperature. Red cross gave few bottles of cold water to everyone before entering Acropolis. AMAZING To many homeless people in Athens, crackheads, but they didn’t bother me.

Staff were very helpful and gave us a renovated room which was really comfortable, especially the sofa bed which was surprising. We were able to swim in the pool even though we were a little later than closing time, staff went above and beyond to enable us to get a quick dip and enjoy all the hotel had to offer. Hotel is great to walk in to Plaka and lots of little supermarkets around for snacks etc. Minibar had plenty drinks in it. I would definitely stay again if we were in Athens. Managed to park right at the door but there is a car park (paid) opposite.

The room was in the 10th floor with panoramic view overlooking Pireos str as requested with a huge balcony. More luxurious than expected with complimentary slippers and even with a weight scale.

The buffet breakfast had an impressive wide range of products but not all of them in high quality. The worst croissant I have ever eat.
