Nefeli Hotel

The location was great, Plaka is a very beautiful neighbourhood - and we were very close to the main attractions, we mostly walked everywhere! The breakfast was almost the same every morning, but it had plenty of variety and it was quite a lot, so we did not have to worry about lunch until late in the day. The room was nice, clean, the bed was comfy (especially great after a full day of walking around Athens). The best part was that we had an orange tree in bloom at our window - and the smell was amazing!

The lift was a bit small & didn't work every time, but the staff was helpful & fixed it (only used it on arrival & departure anyways).

The hotel is a rare gem: very clean, friendly, and caring. When I was robbed in the subway system on arrival the staff donated their own cash so that I wasn't completely stranded. I can't praise the hotel enough. (Oh and their breakfast is yummy.)

Athens is now the Wild West. You will be robbed. Gypsies roam the Metro which comes directly from the airport. When you reach your central stop, usually Syntagma, they jam the doors which then open and slam, open and slam furiously, a mere 25 centímetres, which traps everyone inside, and restrains everyone outside. In the cacaphony and chaos the Gypsies go to work, cutting, unzipping, robbing. The police actually know about this and are fighting a losing battle. Everyone, even the locals now have horror stories about their Metro.

The location is perfect, 10min walk to the side entrance to the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, Hadrian's Gate and many other important historic sites. Although situated in the Plaka, it is in a quiet street where one can get away from the hustle once ready to go to bed. The wifi is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful. Nice having a small fridge in the room. There is even an elevator that makes it easier to reach your room on the upper levels once you have arrived with luggage.

If I have to knit pick, maybe they can add a nice picture on one of the walls in the bedroom, to make it more homely.

The hotel has good location - close to all sites, easy to reach from the airport via Syntagma metro. Location is safe, can walk alone even at night. Staff were friendly, room was clean. Breakfast started at 6.30 which is good on flight departure days. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around this hotel. I recommend this hotel for the price in this location.

Would have preferred more fruit at breakfast. Rooms are not soundproof.

-Aparments : bathroom unable to take a shower very small place, and a curtain is hanging outside, so all the water go to the floor -No safe to put documents -No electric kettle in the room ---- Summarize: though i mentioned above a list of things to improve, all those things are not that important in the overall. the price/quality ratio is above medium, so it is 4 out of 5.

The hotel responded quickly to messages sent through booking.com, the staff at reception were friendly and helpful. I liked that you can check in late and check out early, this flexibility helps when you have a delayed/ early flight. We found the hotel to be clean, comfortable and what was expected from the pictures on the website. The breakfast was okay but the same each day. The hotel is perfectly located to visit the main sites of Athens, we caught the bus to and from the airport and the stop is a short walk away in Syntagma Square. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be central but in a quite area

We stayed in a bedroom with 3 beds for a week. It would have been ok as a double bedroom but for three people (2 adults, 1 child 11 yrs.) with roughly half a metre of space around/between the beds to walk around it was a bit too small for such a long stay.

The hotel is Greek family-owned, and we were happy to support Greek people when visiting Greece. All staff were very friendly and eager to please. The hotel was perfectly situated in a quiet and safe area of the Plaka where we could rest without loud city sounds. While not fancy, the hotel was clean and very comfortable. We recommend and would stay there again

The top selling point is the brilliant location - in a quiet area of Plaka and only a few minutes walk the South Gate of the Acropolis. Lots of nice restaurants around. Hotel is basic but comfortable and good value. Decent breakfast included in room rate. Good Wi-Fi and excellent air conditioning in bedrooms. Helpful to have an air conditioned retreat during the heat wave! We would stay again.

Rooms on the street slide slightly noisy at night.

Everything. The location is super convenient: a supermarket and a bakery are right next to it, a cute little café is 2 minutes on foot and a little further are many restaurants, souvenir shops, etc. But still the hotel is in a quiet little street. It's a family-run business and all the members do their best to help you enjoy your stay. They take all requests seriously and try to accommodate your needs (we had an early check-in which was great because our flight was early). Breakfast is included in the price, nothing fancy but it's all we needed. Rooms are clean, basic but include everything you might need. Great value. I definitely recommend Nefeli hotel and will go back on my next trip to Athens.

Nothing. Maybe the noisy neighbor on our last night who spent the night talking loud on her phone but this has nothing to do with the hotel.
