New Park Hotel Athenry0

The hotel is quaint, lots of History here. We had a nice spacious room, and the staff are quite accommodating.

I failed to be sure the hotel had an elevator as I have difficulty walking up the stairs. There was no elevator. The majority of people coming and going were elderly. A chairlift would be a great accommodation to many people.

Everything was perfect. Room lovely and comfortable. Bed and pillows superb! Magnificent breakfast and such pleasant, helpful staff BUT only thing was the person/people above us were so noisy :( Not a fault of the hotel or its lovely surroundings but took us ages to drop off. HOWEVER, little impact on our lovely stay. Thank you very much New Park. We'll be back :)

Noisy neighbours!

Location. Clean and tidy. Staff were excellent and very friendly. Has quite a small menu choice, but what they do is really very very good. Recommend the lasagne, one of the best! I only have bacon and eggs for breakfast but by judging by that the full Irish must be lovely. Good quality bacon.

Bathroom a bit small.

Quirky, wonderful cosy inside & outside spaces, inside Athenry Town walls which is wonderful, great staff, clean & nice rooms. Great food & lovely breakfast.

Rooms 4&5 have adjoining squeaky floorboards & very thin walls - makes it noisy if next door are wandering about during the night/morning.

Excellent personally ordered breakfast. Bright fabulous lighting in room and bath. Very clean. Bed very comfortable and extra blankets. Just like home. Inn keeper very nice. Does all the work herself including cooking,help w itenirary and things to do.

Sad that lots of businesses closed.

Location is prime. Was able to wander in all of the interest points in Athenry. The Pub option is also a boost. Quick food delivery. Staff really flexible and friendly.

The thin walls that tell me when the next door is taking a shower or they are hair drying.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The beds are really cosy and the shower was first class. There is a lovely peaceful atmosphere in the hotel.

Lack of night porter, the door in our room was sticking making it awkward to open and close when leaving and returning to the room. And the hotel bar closes too early around or before 10 pm.

Amazingly friendly staff and lovely relaxing atmosphere. I will certainly be returning, for work or pleasure. Ideal location if you were working in Galway but wanted to avoid the over priced hotels

Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was friendly, helpful, and kind. Staff appeared to enjoy working there and were very accommodating.

There was nothing not to like!

This hotel is a gem! Alacoque (the owner) is absolutely lovely. So friendly and chatty. She gave us great information about Athenry and we really enjoyed doing the heritage trail that she recommended. The cooked breakfast was fantastic! Love the outdoor dining area too. Highly recommend this hotel and Athenry is a lovely town full of history. Shouldn’t be missed.
