Oranmore Lodge Hotel Conference And Leisure Centre Galway

Stayed here for 2 nights. Lovely traditional hotel approached via a private driveway. Rooms decent size with plenty of light. Comfortable bed. Bath/shower. Breakfast good with cold/hot options. Restaurant / bar available for lunch/dinner. Ate here in the evening and food was very good. The hotel also has a spa facility with swimming pool available to guests. Large car park. The village of Oranmore is about a ten minute walk from the hotel and has a few bars/restaurants.

Only one problem was that there was some noise during the night from what may have been air conditioning unit which seemed to be intermittent but could not see any control switch for this.

I love this hotel. Staff are very professional and show great pride in their customers. Checkin was quick and convient. Rooms were spotless clean. Shower was amazing. Beds are so comfortable. I honestly would consider getting married in this hotel. It's extraordinary.

The room was very warm but that's understandable as Ireland is not use to humid weather so it's pointless having aircon all Yr round. I work in a hotel myself in Galway as a night porter and the common issue is aircon but I would not fault this hotel just for that. Get booking it short 7 minute walk to village with your guaranteed crack banter and a really good night to remember

Always enjoy staying at the Oranmore Loadge. I have been visiting and staying since the 80’s. All of the staff are Lovely from Housekeeping through to management. Lovely comfortable room and leisure areas. The hotel just has a lovely ambiance and feeling. Very relaxing. Great location. Very clean and warm. Plenty of parking. Facilities are excellent in the Hotel and locally. The young man from Barcelona should be commended for his work and customer service. Very professional and attentive. Lovely young man. The mature lady too that works in dining was very nice, warm and professional. Very helpful. The reception team were fantastic and very professional. But as I said before all of the staff are fantastic and create a nice warm atmosphere. I really enjoyed my short stay. I wished it was for longer. Next time!

Nothing Negative to say. Just a few suggestions. Pillows could do with an upgrade. I found them a little flat and hard but I have slept on worst. Not unbearable. The beds are super comfy. Slept so well. A second arm chair in the room would be nice but the one that was in the room I stayed is so comfy. I had dinner one evening and it was very tasty. The only criticism is the veg was a little too Al dente for my liking but the rest of the dish was delicious. The car park and road could do with being freshly tarmac but again it’s than more than adequate and there’s plenty of parking. The leisure centre is very busy but great for people watching. I enjoyed seeing all the comings and goings.

I'm a Galwegian but not from the city. I was staying in the hotel as part of a Wedding. The location is just outside the city. I lived in Oranmore previously and the village has plenty to offer. The hotel itself was straight forward. Bog standard really - which is fine of course (Former Manager in the industry).

When the Bride told me that the hotel was borderline cancelling her Civil Ceremony due to low numbers I was in shock. I know the irish hotel industry very well and from a business perspective, I get it. But I was shocked all the same. The people in question are both from different countries and now call Ireland home. For their big day to almost get cancelled out of greed......😬 Something to note should you ever consider the same. Also, the cost of the rooms was above average in the off-peak time of the year.

The location is excellent as it serves well Galway, only 10 minutes away from the city and plenty of bus services throughout the day. Oranmore has some good restaurants and places for a drink. Beds are comfortable, night is quiet, and you can have a quality sleep. Breakfast is excellent, well cooked and prepared. There is a good offer of items. Overall, a great place to stay to enjoy Galway and nearby attractions like the Dog's Bay, Gurteen, Connemara Forest etc.

Restaurant area can be improved in terms of decor. Leisure centre was pretty good, but it can be modernised a bit. Nothing really to complain about. Overall, facilities are good.

The hotel was pretty and check in went well. The receptionist helped us carry out bags to our room. Our room was well appointed and decorated and the bathroom was adequate. The mattresses were comfortable. The leisure centre is a bonus for those who like to exercise or swim.

The pillows were totally flat and must be replaced. This is a family hotel and there was a function going on when we were there. That meant we had to eat dinner in the bar not the restaurant. The dinner was good, but it was not what we expected.

The hotel is in a lane way away from the busy road so no traffic noise. Plenty of parking in front of the hotel. The leisure centre is beside the hotel and easy to get to. Bedroom was a good size and had two double beds. Beds were very comfortable with cotton linen soft & fresh. I had an excellent night sleep. Shower was great, bathroom very clean. it had squeeze hand soap & shower gel units, which were difficult to get liquid out of but we managed. We ate in the bar, food was delicious & staff very attentive. Hotel is a 10min walk to Oranmore town along the busy road. Nice busy town and worth the walk in to have a look around.

It was perfect for my family stay I have nothing negative to say about the hotel.

Hotel is a traditional hotel with lost of character. There is ample car parking and the facilities are very good. Food in the restaurant was good, portions a little small but food was good. I stayed in room 211 which according to check in was the best room in the hotel, well equipped, a good size and comfortable. I only took a continental breakfast due to an early start but the choice was very good. Staff were pleasant, polite and helpful

The glass in my windows had broken down, condensation between the panes disturbed the view and affected natural light in to the room.

Lovely hotel with all the facilities you need for an enjoyable stay. Very nice menu with lots of options. Tasty fillet beef stroganoff and mango and passionfruit mousse washed down with a delicious Malbec. Highly recommend!

Pillows were a bit hard and flat. Need to review the eggs benedict. Better served with regular bacon (not streaky) and a thicker hollondaise sauce. White muffin served with it needs to be of a higher quality in a hotel of this standard.

Lovely hotel in a handy location. Can walk into village. Comfortable reception area and bar. Cosy, quiet room with all facilities you need. I like that the corporate rooms are separate from those on vacation. Friendly helpful staff.

Breakfast was good but you need more staff. One lady was doing everything herself. Meeting and seating guests, cleaning up, taking orders, replenishing continental items and serving hot food and drinks. She was run ragged the poor girl.
