Hotel Bencidormi

The hotel is the best! I can say the owner/ receptionist helped us and called the museums and we could get easy acsess tickets He is such a nice guy who informs us about the city and history of it. And the hotel is so clean so central 3 min to mercato centrale on foot. Free coffee every day (there is a coffee corner in the hotel) I would definitely stay in this hotel if I come again to florence. 100% to recommend!! and there is a microwave corner if you want to use it. Eat pizza and pasta drink limoncello spritz stay in this hotel and you have the best holiday!!! Price/performance is the best for this hotel! I will come again!

The staff was great, very supportive and easy to reach, kind and helpful. The location grants easy access to both the city center and the train station which saves you a lot of time if you either visit Florence or you plan on seeing other locations. The room and bath was sparkling clean, quiet, comfortable and well equipped (AC, mini fridge, hair dryer, TV, Wireless etc), coffee machine, candies and brochures on the lobby. Breakfast serving hours are flexible. Even if this is one star rated, don't get fooled by this, as this place is very nice, clean and cozy, in my experience this was better than many other the 3-4 stars rated locations.

One very minor issue to the room, air conditioning in the room works perfectly fine, but it makes a whistling noise while on, so we preferred to switch it off during the night. The breakfast is very good, it is served outside the hotel and consists of one coffee, a glass of juice and either a choice of a pastry item or small sandwich. I would prefer a more consistent breakfast, but then again this is subjective.

The hotel is at an ideal location! We went everywhere by foot without any problems. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive! Alexandra sent us infos on how to find the entrance in case we arrived late and Roberto was the incredibly nice, guarding our luggage and being a great face to meet first thing in the morning! We got great recommendations for dinner and snack places near the location as well.

Nothing, our stay was exceptional.

Very welcoming host, helping us with the luggage on the stairs. He also gave us tourist maps and suggested what attractions are a must see. The location is just few minutes walking from: Santa Maria Novella rail station (4min), restaurants, Mercato Centrale, Pam local supermarket, Piazza del Duomo (7min). Cutlery, tea, coffee available on the hallway. The room&bathroom were very clean. In the room there was a minifridge, tv and kettle.

A small recommendation for the single bed. It looked like an extra bed instead of a single bed, as it was smaller, lower height, thin mattress making it not very comfortable.

It had a great location near the train station and all major sites. it was clean, quiet, and Roberto was a wonderful host. We also loved having the super hot water for our showers!

I can’t say much negative. Our room was small but it was mainly due to having asked for an extra bed to be be placed in it for my daughter’s friend who joined us after a day. It would also be difficult for someone who has mobility issues because there are stairs and no elevator and no rooms at street level, but it didn’t bother us because we like the extra exercise!

We had a lovely stay in Firenze. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming, special thanks to Roberto who greeted us with a smile every morning and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The room was exceptionally clean and well kept throughout our stay and the location was excellent - very close to the centre and with some very good restaurants in the same area!!

Breakfast was not the best but it was still good!

First something about the staff. Roberto was really one of the nicest, friendliest hosts I ever met. I felt really, really welcome! As for the hotel itself: this is a small, family-run operation where they do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. My room was small, but it had all the essentials, including a TV and an ensuite bathroom. Italian-style breakfast was served in a pasticceria a few doors down te street. The hotel is situated in a quiet street very close to Firenze SMN Station and just a 10 minute walk to the Duomo and most other sights (add 5 minutes or so for destinations in Oltrarno). All in all, I give this the highest recommendation. When I get back to Florence, I will make sure to stay here again. You should too.

Location is great! It’s an easy walk from Firenze SMN train station, Mercato Centrale, etc and surrounded by many restaurants and cafes. There’s also a decent-size supermarket nearby. Room was comfortable and spacious and kettle and mugs were provided. There is also free tea, coffee and biscuits near the reception area. Most importantly, the owner Roberto is a wonderful host — extremely friendly and helpful! He also helps guests to carry luggage up or down the one level of stairs to Bencidormi. Thank you, Mr Roberto!

Roberto was an awesome host. He was always available to help us. The location is very good. Close to the train station and Central Market. The room and bathroom are good

The air conditioning was not available because they only change the system from heater to cooler on the summer. It was a little warm, and we had to open the window. With the windows closed, you can't hear a thing, but when it's opened, it's like being in a bar, so we had a hard time sleeping.

- The hotel is in a quiet street. - There is a restaurant, a bakery and an ice cream shop within a one-minute walk. - All sights are very close. - The rooms are modestly furnished but provide everything you need during your stay. - The staff is very helpful and kind. Thanks to Mr. Robert, we did not feel like in a hotel, but rather like part of a family in a pleasant place.

- The air conditioning was noisy and made strange noises. - Breakfast was in a nearby bakery, but there were also other customers, so there was sometimes no place to sit and it was quite noisy.
