Hotel Boccaccio

Very good quality room, great helpful staff and outstanding breakfast service. The breakfast staff were very attentive and friendly. The bathroom and shower were fine given European standards but not as good as the room.

No complaints.

I CHOSE THIS HOTEL FOR ITS CLOSENESS TO THE TRAIN STATION, IT'S JUST A FEW STEPS AWAY AND I WAS TAKING A TRAIN EARLY MORNING...BUT WHAT I DID NOT EXPECT WAS THE SUPREME JOY OF MEETING PART OF THE WORKING EMPLOYEES, I AM SURE SURE SIGNORE FABRIZO KNOWS HE HAS A BOX OF JEWEL WITH ALL OF THEM. TO JUST NAME A FEW, ZHANETA, HAKI, COSIMO AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST ELVIS... I CALLED HIM THE NIGHT BEFORE TO SEE IF I COULD LEAVE THE LUGGAGE FOR 3 NIGHTS...AND WITH HIS NORMAL HAPPY VOICE HE TOLD ME I COULD AND WILL NOT BE CHARGED....HE'S FROM SERBIA BUT SPEAKS TENS OF LANGUAGES. THE CLEANLINESS OF THE PLACE IS MAGNIFICENT, AND I DO LOOK INTO CORNERS AND BEHIND TOILETS. HOTEL IS AT WALKING DISTANCE OF ALL FLORENCE HAS TO OFFER. I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS CORNER HOTEL! AND IT'S CREW.

The room was a triple room so we weren't expecting a huge room. It was perfectly adequate. The bathroom had plenty of space. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Beds were very comfortable with good bed linen. Towels for all of us which were changed twice. Room very clean. 5 minutes walk from the train. On a busy road but very good double glazing so quiet at night. Air con worked very well. Walking distance to restaurants bars and sights of Florence. Breakfast pastries were amazing. Lovely staff good coffee freshly made and brought to the table. Reception staff were very welcoming and helpful.

It was pretty much better than expected. Outside terrace was out of action but that is a very minor quibble!

Great location, it’s within walking distance of all the major sights. Its no more than a 5 minute walk to the main train station, you can see it from the Hotel. The wifi is excellent, the room was clean, comfortable and serviced daily. The breakfast was good & the coffee is made to order. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I was a solo female traveller and the location of this hotel felt safe. I’d recommend this hotel.

The hotel is lovely with knowledgeable staff at the reception. Lots of recommendations. The rooms are large and clean with modern bathrooms. I liked their shower gel and shampoo. The breakfast provided is literal cafe quality with fresh coffee made for you and a selection of cold meats, cheeses, croissants and cereals. It is walking distance to the centre of the city and Florence is a beautiful city to walk in. We arrived really early in the morning and since our room wasn't ready we were able to leave our luggage. We came back after 2pm and the staff had kindly taken our luggage upstairs to our room. Really appreciated that.

Probably the hotel with best cost benefit on our trip. We liked a lot. Elbi was amazing, always kind, cheerful and helping us with everything we needed. The hotel is in an old building (we are in Florence after all), but it is beautiful and has all the modern amenities, with great comfort. Breakfast is excellent, it is served in a very modern and relaxed atmosphere. Highlight for the omelette! The hotel is just 1 block from the Train Station, possibly the closest hotel to it. This made it very convenient for us to explore the city and return to the hotel during the day, when we needed to rest or pick up something. The room was quite comfortable and spacious. The soaps and shampoos in the bathroom were extremely high quality for a hotel, I was impressed.

The facade of the hotel was under renovation, but even that we were previously informed by the hotel, apologizing.

We selected Hotel Boccaccio for our last night in Italy before leaving to the airport for an early flight. The ride to the airport is only 15-20 min (EU$30) and the hotel staff called a taxi for us at 4 a.m. without problem. The Hotel Boccaccio is located close to the train station, to the city center and to many restaurants and attractions. Elby welcomed us with his friendly smile and great sense of humor. We were tired after a long day and he made us laugh, helped us check in quickly and offered restaurant suggestions for dinner. He is friendly and funny. Every hotel should have an Elby 😊 We were here only for one night, so we didn’t need much but we had everything we needed e.g. a clean room, comfortable bed and nice bathroom

There is noise from the street that is not easy to block even with the window closed but they either got quiet or we fell asleep so that was not a problem after all.

Very close to the train station & most of the main attractions. Little cafe attached to hotel was fast, friendly, & delicious food. But best of all was the extremely helpful & friendly gentlemen who worked at the front desk each day. They were OUTSTANDING!!!

It was extremely noisy outside our window each night until, at least 2 AM, and off and on until 4 AM or so. It was simply countless people out enjoying the social life of Florence. Lots of loud motorcycles too throughout the night. But the ideal location and friendliness & helpfulness of the staff outweighs the noise!

The hotel was in a short distance from the railway station almost around the corner. Having said that you don’t hear any noise. The hotel was very clean and bed very comfortable. Ron and Elvis on the front desk were just amazing nothing was too hard for them to do for you. Loved the decor in the building. Bonus it has a lift for people with mobility issues. The staff that run the breakfast were lovely make amazing coffee. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Walking distance to many sites. Many restaurants close by. Lovely people lovely hotel. Would definitely recommend

We are very pleased with our stay at this hotel. The location is frankly unbeatable, being just steps away from the Santa Maria Novella train station. The breakfast itself was also quite good (the caffè latte was one of the best I've ever had) and of good quality. I'd especially like to point out the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff: not only were they able to check us in early, as the room was available (which isn't always the case), but the reception staff always greeted us with a smile and were very helpful in pointing out the city's landmarks. Plus, they recommended EXCELLENT restaurants which we found ourselves returning to. All in all, it was an excellent trip, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. We will return :)

Honestly, I was quite satisfied with the stay here. If I had to pick one thing, it would be perhaps for the bed to be slightly softer and the pillows to be fluffier, but then again, this is a question of tastes, I suppose.
