Hotel Alba Palace

Location was excellent, literally 5-7 minute walk to the station as well as close to all the sights. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Breakfast was adequate, fresh and plenty of variety as well as fresh espresso if you ask. Rooms were very clean, would definitely stay again.

A lovely hotel quite close to Florence Railway Station. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Staff were very efficient and friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. Due to the closeness of the Railway Station we were able to visit both Sienna and Pisa. The Railway Staff were on hand to explain how to use the Ticket Machines. The Station was very busy but the information on the arrival and departure screens were easy to understand and we were able to get on the correct trains. Always validate your ticket before you board but ask for help if needed

absolutely wondering staff members who made us feel welcomed and special. especially the free champagne for my birthday! the hotel breakfast was generous as well and facilities were clean and in working order. the location is absolutely perfect, in the heart of florence, close to the train station, and with a corner shop nearby. the room also had a smart tv! x

the sink was slow to drain for the entire stay but was cleaned by staff every morning so we didn't complain. the lack of charging ports in the room was a challenge, the room we stayed i was for three people but there were fewer charging ports and some were slower to charge than others. the bathroom could also do with a bath mat, we resorted to putting towels on the floor to solve this.

Smallish hotel, very clean and tidy. Bed was comfy, I had a single room but it had everything I needed. Shower was good, having hot water straight away. Glad there was a nespresso machine. Double windows helped with outside noise & blackout curtains. It was in a great location, 5 mins walk from the tram stop of Alamanni Stazzione. Hotel staff was very friendly. They had a happy hr from 18:00-20:00 most nights in the bar area, with comfy sofas. I had breakfast, coffee was good and strong, pastries, yoghurts & cakes selection were good. Usual cheeses, hams & Italian cake plus other biscuits, seeds etc available too. Maid service was good. Would use again if I ever return.

Perfect location, staff was very friendly and helpful! Rich and variouse breakfast, clean rooms with everything you need.

We travelled by car and it created a big problem! At the hotel page there is info: "Public parking is possible at a location nearby (reservation is not possible) and costs € 22 per day". And that "we can arrive in front of the hotel to deliver the luggage". It was absolutely impossible to reach the hotel by car. A red light sign warned that the ZTL is closed. In front of the hotel there was no place to stop even for a minute. In front of TIVOLI hotel (on the other side of the street) there is an area, which belongs to that hotel and was not for us. We were driving around and around and finally had to leave the car at the “nearby” Garage Europa. It is about 500 m away, so we had to walk to the hotel and back with our baggage. The price is € 30 per day.

The location was great because it was close to the Santa Maria Novella square. the breakfast lady was very welcoming in the morning and the quad room was very large fir a family of four.

Location was good..not too far to walk from train station (2 blocks or so) with luggage -which was a plus for us. Breakfast was good 👍 Staff was very nice.. Rooms clean.. Little sitting patio in corner of 3rd floor was nice and peaceful .

A/C didn't cool off room as we expected so take a small travel fan with you to help circulate air. Rooms were on the "small" scale.. so if you have 2 carry on luggage cases...it will get crowded a bit but you can make it work if you use closet area too. Beds a bit hard for some people but manageable for a night or two if your a side sleeper.

Just next to the train/tram stations: perfect way to aim for a day to Pisa/Siena. The breakfast is wonderful with various choices. The receptionnists Verena & Sara are so helpful and will do their very best to give you extra info. Bedroom cleaning is simply Top. Bed is just what we needed! A few pizza restaurants are in the street + the well known old (1221) San Maria Novella Pharmacy (worth a visit for its frescoes, marble floors, soaps & perfumes) & the piazza San Maria Novella with its Basilic. 10 min. by foot to the Dome & Bell Tower, its Market, Da Vinci interactive museum and other main activities as Ponte Vecchio.

Was a lovely hotel, very quirky. Welcoming reception and bar area, breakfast rooms all well setup and staff very friendly. Location is idea, 10min walk from train station, 5 min walk to Santa Nouvelle church with plenty restaurants in.piazza. 15 min to Duomo, all sites within half hour of hotel. I had a single room which was compact, toilet maybe a little too compact though but it was spotless. Had a fridge and safe with small wardrobe area.

Walls were paper thin in room I had couple in next room argue.loudly and constantly for 2 days/nights. Something outwith hotel remit but walls/floors are not sound proof. Was more noise inside than out.

The best stay in Italy overall. My road trip spanning 6 cities - Rome, Naples, Pisa, Florence, Venice and Milan. HOTEL ALBA PALACE tops it all. Great selection for breakfast. Kettle in the room. Smiling staff everywhere. Maria in charge of breakfast was always offering food and coffee. The rest of the staff were always readgy to help. 10 mins walk from Duomo. 3 mins walk from train station. Halal Kebab shop among the row of shops in front of hotel. Many souvenirs shop all around. Room is of big size for our family of 3. All equipment working very well. Bed is comfy. Windows can be open. Very clean and smells nice. Elevator is big and spacious. .
