Hotel Palazzo Guadagni

Such a beautiful property. Our room was spacious and thoughtfully appointed. Bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. We had a small balcony overlooking the square. The location was perfect for walking to all the major sites. We also used e-bikes and scooters and there were many around the square. The Loggia bar and breakfast were lovely and the staff was friendly and helpful. The square had lots going on including farmer’s and flea markets during the day and live music at night. We loved it! Would stay again.

It does get noisy at night and in the morning being on a main square. The property does everything they can to help mitigate this with reminders posted about closing the shutters tight and ear plugs provided for each guest. It didn’t bother us but if you’re early to bed I could see it being an issue. Perhaps ask for a room furthest away from the square when booking.

Without a doubt, the loggia is the wow factor of this hotel. I think I can spend hours in it admiring the views of Florence and the square down below. We also like the fact that the hotel is on the other side of the river but is still very centrally located. We also like the manager of the hotel. He is a shining example of what good service means.

1. We booked late and got a room next to the kitchen. It is not very nice having to walk pass the kitchen to our room. However, the room itself is perfectly fine and spacious. The hotel was also very thoughtful in putting 2 thick curtains on either side of the door to block out any noise from the kitchen. 2. The loggia is clearly a wow factor but as it is open to the public, it can be quite crowded at times.

Hotel Palazzo Guadagni was excellent. The staff was friendly and professional, and the room was exactly as advertised. The hotel check-in happens on the 3rd floor -there is a small elevator- and the room I stayed in was a family room on the 1st floor, so the manager my own check-in in the vestibule the leads to the 1st floor rooms. That was fantastic because it meant I didn't have to make my whole family go all the way up, just to then go down. The room was beautiful, classically styled, well lit and very well maintained. Exactly whatyou expect in a city like Firenze. The breakfast was wonderful, as well. There were several options of food for all different type of palates and dietary needs. I had a car and the hotel took care of getting it parked and retrieved for me. I couldn't have asked for more. Would I go again? Yes, in a heartbeat. I highly recommend Hotel Palazzo Guadagni.

Location is perfect. Situated in the Santo Spirito piazza with lovely bars and restaurants dotted around, five minute walk to Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. Fifteen to the Uffizi. Our room overlooked the piazza, the small balcony was a perfect place to sit with a spritz. The staff were warm and welcoming. The bar terrace is another gorgeous spot to sit and soak in the rooftops of Florence, the platters and cocktails, delish. Parking garage pick up worked very well.

The location was great, the breakfast was great, the roof top bar was fantastic and the staff that run it were amazing. The room itself was beautiful .

The room was so noisy. At night and early in the morning . The room was right next to the kitchen and we could hear everything that was going on in there. The noise of plates , the noise of glass bottles, the staff talking etc. we didn’t sleep well at all. But the room itself was beautiful. At check I explained it all and the lovely lady took the drink bill off my account. So thank you !!

We had a lovely time, the room was bigger than I had anticipated and the bed very comfortable. We had an amazing view on the duomo from the room and the bathroom was very comfortable. Now it is an old palace so when you arrive you can get a lift up the reception, but then you will have to walk up the stairs to go to your room. That didn't bother us as the place is very charming and we didn't expect it any other way. Beware: the terrace for breakfast or drinks will take your breath away. I was literally wishing for rain so that we would have to stay on the terrace longer and do nothing else :) Breakfast itself was not mind-blowing but to good standards and I did not feel like there was anything missing.

The palace is on a square that gets very animated at night with restaurants/bar... so expect noise. But then again, it adds to the charm during the warm summer nights.

The room was a great mix of traditional and comfort, with stable wifi and a fantastic view. Very good shower and clean facilities. Really helpful staff on the front desk. Great breakfast choices. Enjoyed sitting on the Loggia in the evening for sunset. The hotel is located on a square which had quality places to eat and a different market on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Short walking distance to the Boboli Gardens and Pitti Palace, can also walk to the Uffizi Gallery and the centre of Florence,

It did not bother us at all but the square was a gathering place for lots of people and the restaurants have tables out on the square, so it was very noisy in the square on Friday and Saturday nights. It was a very vibrant and happy atmosphere. In our bedroom, the double-glazing cut most of the noise out but it was audible after midnight. We have no issues with sleeping in slightly noisy environments but if you did, this might be a concern,

It is an excellent location. Easy to walk to everything and lots of amenities around the hotel if you don't feel like leaving her neighborhood. The hotel bar is excellent. The service, the snacks and the wine and not to mention the view is very nice. Especially if you happen to have a rainy day.

The lobby is a bit disappointing. While it is clean, old and worn out carpet can only look so clean. It would be nice to have it updated and maybe a bit brighter as it is a very dark reception. The lobby doesn't lead on to how nice the rest of the hotel is.

Centrally located, no doubt about that, and the market on the squares was full of time. The view is good and the room is just what we need, we are two adults with two young children. We love the antique style. The stuff are helpful with valet parking, and provide to us detailed information about the hotel and the area. Breakfast is also nice. We did not hear much noises even though there are bars opened to late mid-night.

Hotel Palazzo Guadagni was an absolute great! The service from the moment we arrive until we departed was exceptional. Located in a quaint piazza, only a few minute walk to Ponte Vecchio, and all the others great places of interest. We decided to celebrate our new year hour on their beautiful terrace and I would say that after spending in previous years many New Year Eves in different parts of the world, this one will most definitely make one of the best in “my book”! Our room was absolutely beautiful, spacious and had a most amazing view of the Florence rooftops and church dome. Hotel Palazzo Guadagni is definitely our hotel of choice when travelling to Florence. P.S. - We had one of our best meal nearby at the PITI Cafe.
