NilHotel Florence

It is a large congress hotel, so it has over and underground parking on the premises that are gated. It is located in a business district of Florence, next to large company grounds and parking lots. Being there over the weekend meant it was very quiet, this probably changes on workdays. Room is large with a decent sized tv. Breakfast is ample - 4 star standard and there are separate rooms for individual guests and tour groups. Getting to center of Florence takes approx. 20 minutes by car and 35 min by tram T2, but you need to walk about 13-14 minutes to the tram station between large fenced company grounds. There are also busses that pass nearer, but haven't tried them. You can buy bus/tram tickets directly at the front desk, but there are also vending machines on each stop to buy tickets with cash or credit cards.

Great underground parking garage. Room was exceptional and the pool was definitely worth the extra charge. The restaurant and bar were also great and very reasonably priced for a hotel of this class. There was a bus stop and tram station close by and tickets were available at the reception. I would absolutely come to this hotel again.

There really isn't much. The only minor nit-pick I could think of is the bread selection at breakfast. It is not very good and as a German, we like good bread for breakfast. Just stick with Bacon and Eggs and you'll be fine.

I have never stayed in a hotel where I have had to pay for pool access as a guest. Unfortunately the hotel was quite far from town but was accessible by tram or taxi As a lone traveler I would have liked to have had the opportunity to just go for a walk nearby to have coffee or eat without having to go all the way to town.

Clean hotel with very helpful staff. Rooms are a decent size and beds are comfy. Pool was a good size and there were enough lounge chairs. Breakfast was pretty simple but not bad. Reception called cab for us and it arrived within minutes.

More plug sockets would be useful near the bed. Location is perfect if you're going to airport, but a little far away from everything else. Probably great if you have your own car but we relied on public transport.

Business Hotel outside centre Florence. Free (indoor) parking at the hotel. From the hotel it's a 10-15 min walk to the tram, which takes you in 15 min to the city center and 500m away from the Duomo. Alternatively, you can take the bus which is closer (5min walk) but takes longer (25min). You can get tickets at the receptionist for € 1,50 single travel. Breakfast was ok, sufficient in choice. You can get good coffee/capuccino if you ask waiter.

Card system of the doors only works one sided which is incovenient. Returning from city center is less convenient given the uphill walk. There is a street prostitution zone just outside the hotel venue.

Good breakfast and all the characteristics of a good business hotel. Our requirements for assistance, additional pillows, small repairs and room service were promptly fulfilled. Parking facilities are good and free (not common in Firenze).

It was not possible to adjust the room temperature and it was hot. According to the hotel they were in mid season and they keep the air conditioner off during this time. The hotel is not close to the main attractions in Firenze. There are no good restaurants near the hotel.

Motorcycle trip. Safe parking in underground garage. 10 min walk to Tram for Florence Central. Swimming pool opened on a second day.. Staff great very friendly.

All the important things were right. The hotel was generally very nice. Room was large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. We would certainly book this hotel again.

Not really a complaint, but an observation. The hotel is a little way out of the centre of Florence. We had bicycles and used these to get into the city. Walking we considered possible, but would have taken longer than we would have liked.

The breakfast was very good. The room was comfortable and spacious. Staff was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

It is a 15 minute walk to the tram station and another 10 minutes on a very crowded tram.

Hotel with nice staff, airconditioned rooms, pool with bar and free parking garage. We have bikes and equipment with us so great with own garage and camera surveillance.
