Albergo Verdi

The location was perfect. we were always a stones throw from all the best sights, markets, bars and restaurants. Exceptionally clean and friendly. It was a haven from the bustle outside. The new windows blocked out the very busy street below and the beds were fresh and comfortable. Although we didn’t choose a breakfast option we were able to get a wee coffee first thing. From the balcony of our room you could see the Teatro Massimo.

The room is basic. No frills but perfect for a city break when you are spending most of your day visiting the beautiful city.

A lovely small hotel in the city historical center, own by a nice and wellcoming family. They offered transport from the airport which was very convenient, since we arrived at midnight. The room was clean and had a little balcony facing the main pedestrian street.

It was a little noisy in the evening and early in the morning, but this is usual in the city center anywhere.

excellent location right in the thick of Central Palermo activity. Within 15-20 mins of the hotel there are many Palermo surprises ( awesome sights). Teatro Massimo, Palatine Chapel, the harbour, St Catherine’s monastery etc. Breakfast was good to have on site, and changed a little each day.

it would have been good to have 2 chairs for our small balcony.

Very clean hotel in a fantastic location. Old fashioned fournitures that give a touch of liberty style. The lady who received us was very attentive to our needs. A very good place to stay when visiting Palermo. Last but not least, there is a very good supervised parking at a very short distance.

The hotel is at the second floor whitout elevator but, if you have good legs it’s not a big problem.

unlikely to be able to have lie in or an afternoon nap. rooms very close to reception so can here general enquiries and telephone calls being made.

The location is fabulous, right in front of Massimo Theatre in the heart of Palermo with lots of excellent restaurants, bars and cafes nearby and most of Palermo's main sights within walking distance. The hotel staff did their best to make our stay as pleasant as possible (e.g. they gave us an additional pillow and moved us to a quieter room when it became available). The room was very clean. As guests need to leave their key at the reception when leaving the hotel and request it upon returning, the receptionist constantly observes and checks who goes in and out (which means it's very safe). WiFi in the room was excellent and we were able to have a couple of video calls without any problems.

Guests aren't provided with the key to get into the building and also need to leave their room key at the hotel when going out, so during the night guests are asked to ring the bell and ask the staff to let us in. While there is no requirement to return to the hotel by a specific hour, you basically need to wake up the receptionist who then opens the door and gives you your room key. As guests need to leave their key at the reception when leaving the hotel and request it upon returning, you may feel constantly observed. The first room we were given was noisy in the evening and very early in the morning due to the street below. Some of the rooms have double-glazed windows, but not all do.

The place is located in the historical center with a direct exit to the main street which is full of cafes and restaurants. Kind and helpful hostess.

The 38 steps to reception They are manageable but you do need to be fairly agile to stay here

Everything was perfect. staff are very helpful. location is very good.

The only downside is that there is no elevator, everything else was perfect.

Great central location, rooms at back quietest.

No lift, but hotel has a pulley system to pull cases up. Breakfast not brilliant.
