Villa Tower Inn

It was a very nice hotel with amazing staff. Everything could not have went better. The night porter was very helpful and a great bartender. They have a coat room and allowed us to leave our bags while we explored the city a bit more before our flight.

There is not much we didn't like but the one single thing was the rooms were warm due to the fact it was unseasonably warm in January and they have heating on. We had to open the windows to let in air but even in January Italy has loads of mosquitos so we ended up covered in bites. It would have been nice to have a fan or even better a ceiling fan in the room as those work well and also stop mosquitos!

The staff were exceptional. So friendly and helpful. The €10 breakfast served to our room each day was wonderful. The little bar area is very nice as is the outside seating at the front. Great location, we heard no noise from our room, and bars etc are just 5 mins walk away

The hair dryer in the bathroom needs updating- it doesn’t really do anything. A choice of pillows would be good. We didn’t sleep well as the pillows and mattress were very hard. It might suit some but not us. Iron and ironing board in the room would be appreciated.

We stayed overnight before our flight out the next day. Very close to the airport. The staff is amazing! The hotel is an old Villa and our room was big enough and the location was near the Pisa Tower for sure. There is a bar there and staff brought out our drinks to the garden area for us to enjoy. Also, upon arriving the receptionist immediately came outside and helped maneuver our car into the tight driveway. It was very much appreciated. Breakfast was good and served hot. All in all we highly recommend this hotel. You won't be disappointed!

Attic Triple room with Tower view on the top-floor was squeaky-clean, spacious, and comfortable in this vintage boutique style small hotel. En-suite bath was spacious and functional with good water pressure, plenty of towels and toiletries. Check-in was efficient and staff kind, courteous and helpful. On-site car-parking at the back was clean and well-lit at night. Pro Tip: driveway from entrance is a bit narrow. It’s best to come in a small car, but a mid-size SUV (MB GLA 250) to VW Passat can go through easily when driving slow with mirrors closed. We opted for full hot and cold breakfast at check-in, which was not included in our room-price. You’re given a card with a list of breakfast items to fill-in and drop-off by 9 PM. It was $12/person ($7 for hot items plus $5 any extras to pick from cold items) for scrambled eggs, toast, croissants, yogurt, fruits, tea/coffee including the magicbox with cookie, cracker, rusk, nutella, jam. “Ladies serving at the breakfast” were very welcoming, gracious, and friendly. Coffee was very tasty, and they were happy to refill your cup. Hotel’s proximity to Piazza Dei Miracoli (5-minute walk) and free on-site parking alone makes it well worth the value.

Great location and the staff were fantastic: very welcoming and helpful with advice on where to eat, how to get around etc. The continental breakfast (€7.5pp) was good value, served exactly when we required it and more than enough to keep us going.

Difficult to find anything but the Wi-Fi (free) is limited to 2 devices which a family of four could struggle with if the weather was worse and kept you indoors for a prolonged period but this didn’t affect us and I have no doubt they could adjust this if you asked.

If you expect a standard 4* hotel like you know it from other cities, you'll probably be disappointed like many guests whose reviews I've read here. You'll find some reasons why it should have only three stars but just as many other reasons why it's fine with four. What you'll find is a small old hotel in a perfect location, with lovely and stylish decorated rooms and very nice and helpful staff. The Deluxe Suite with Balcony has two rooms which are actually a bit smaller than they look in the pictures, but still big enough for a couple and a teenager who was happy to have her own room... The balcony is big enough to sit there, enjoy a drink paired with a neat cigar and watch the traffic passing by on the street below. If you arrive with your own car, be prepared to a very narrow driveway to access the private parking lot in the backyard but hey, a guy made it on an X5, I made it easily on an X3 so there's no need to worry. And yes, there's a bit of street noise, but it's not unbearable, as are the few mosquitoes that might wake you up having their late-night drink. Instead of writing a disappointed review afterwards about bad breakfast, pay those few euros more and you'll get a rich breakfast served on the balcony. It will leave you happy and strong enough for much more than the 5 minute walk to the leaning tower :-) The staff was very helpful, they recommended us some very nice seafood restaurants in Marina di Pisa. which can be easily reached by car in 15-20 minutes. All in all, this is a hotel perfect for a short stay to comfortably enjoy all of Pisa's main attractions.

There is nothing not to like if you understand the place and accept it the way it presents itself.

All the staff made us feel like home, especially the ladies and gents at breakfast in the morning who were absolutely wonderful. I have read reviews complaining about the mosquitos but that's a problem everywhere, not just this hotel (wasn't an issue in the room, just outside). If you are travelling there, make sure you have mosquito repellents, after bite sticks and cortisone cream because those things do bite and swell badly. In case you don't have them, there's a pharmacy store just 1min walk from the hotel. Aircondition is barely adequate during the day but good enough during the night but at least they let it work nonstop so it was not an issue for us. Thank you all very much for being such great hosts and I hope we can visit you again soon.

Location is perfect. It's quiet. Aircon. Personel very nice.

Overall, rooms are not as good as the picture suggest, but still good. Also risk that you would not be located in the house, but in the former "garage", turned into bedrooms. The "garage" room was OK, but, as a guest, you expect to be in the beauriful house, it's part of the value. The receptionist was very understanding and accepted to move us in a room in the house, so no harm done (thanks !)

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this hotel as Pisa is not exactly a city where tourists spend much time. In saying that, I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel - it was beautiful. It was probably the most classy looking hotel we stayed in on our Italy vacation. It is small and cozy. We booked a family room with one big bed and 2 singles and again, I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was perfect. We were only staying overnight as we were departing from Pisa airport and this room was just fine for us and our 2 young adult sons - the room was spacious and the beds were all good sizes. The bathroom was lovely. The gentleman that checked us in was very helpful and very friendly. He made a dinner reservation for us and was happy to do so. Oh, and the location could not have been better to access the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the restaurant area. Overall, a very good stay - I highly recommend.

We only stayed overnight - we left before breakfast the following morning. During our short stay, there is nothing that we didn’t like - it exceeded our expectations.

We enjoyed everything about this small friendly hotel, especially sitting out in the terrace enjoying local wine and snacks. staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. breakfast had a good variety of food and all good quality. room was spotlessly clean bath towels good quality wrap round type. location perfect for main attractions and market. I would recommend to everyone.
