Hotel Leone

Even though we stayed only one night, checked in late, and checked out early, we had a great experience. The attention was a super lovely, comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The room was bigger than expected also! We needed a place near Termini, and this one is pretty close to it, so the location is excellent. We arrived at 10 pm, and given the reception was open until 6 pm, we received straightforward instructions to get it by ourselves a few days before, with video and text. It was simple and fantastic because you could arrive whenever you needed/wanted.

I forgot to buy water before going to the Hotel, and the fridge had nothing. It was not a problem, but I'd have liked to have something there.

perfect location near Termini ; nice walk to the centre with things to see on the way; quiet and clean; our room was simple but very nice (safe, fridge, kettle). the staff is very friendly and helpful; they care about their guests; they organise check in and check out in a tailored way for each guest (we were able to get the room at the end of the morning and to leave our luggeage in a locker after check out )

very close to termini, can walk with luggage. also close for metro and local buses at termini to get around. minifridge, safe, kettle but no tea or coffee. Large shower. Triple room was big for rome. Extremely quiet, only 2 rooms face street, rest face light well. Very clean. Wonderful thick towels, best of whole trip. Do go 2 blocks to see Santa Maria Maggiore church, with the mosaics, only 3 tourists there 7-8am Receptionist very helpful about where to eat, available by phone/whatsapp 24hrs

I stayed in a section of the hotel that I think has been updated, certainly the bathroom had been nicely renovated. The location was great for my transportation needs, which included both bus and metro across Rome, and although basic, the room was large, faced an inner courtyard (not the street) and had everything I needed: a king size bed, electric kettle, hot shower with good pressure, and a very nice bathroom. The owner seems to be almost always available for help, and the staff are fluent in English (which is important these days for many nationalities). It’s not immediately apparent, but there are several good rating areas around the hotel. I definitely recommend and would stay again.

The reality is the building can be noisy, not the owner’s fault.

The location was great. Very close to train station and also 20 minutes walk to various tourist attractions. You could also take the bus which would be also a good option. The room was very spacious and clean and also had a refrigerator, and a good air-conditioner which was quite important during the summer time. The manager is a very nice guy and very helpful and polite. The hotel deserves a very good score and is highly recommended.

The only negative point I can mention is the water pressure in the shower! Nothing to blame compared to all the positive points.

The distance from Roma Termini is just a 5 min walk. The room was very clean and well maintained. There was a kettle provided with spoons and cups. Outside there was a microwave available. I was reminded by sms and in email to provide the check in time. Since I was going to check in late in the evening, they provided me all the details for self check in which was easy to follow. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's just 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum. The place is affordable and well kept.

Friendly welcome from Pompeo. Nice size comfortable room. Great location in safe and convenient area near Termini Station. Would gladly stay here again and recommend to others.

Everything was great, only small negative was the the door lock to my triple room was the type that needed a key to open and close also from the inside, which meant if I wanted to go out to supermarket or anywhere I had to either lock kids in (not safe in case of fire etc) or leave the door unlocked with them inside. I ended up separating the room key and leaving with them when I went out. In all fairness, I never even asked for a 2nd key, so probably they would have helped me If I asked.

A quiet room in a busy street. Excellent location, close both to Termini and the historical city centre. Pompeo the receptionist is very communicative and accommodating. I arrived in the early morning; he first let me leave my luggage at the reception for a couple of hours and afterwards had my room ready even before the scheduled time. It’s a small hotel with rooms close to each other, but most of the time it was so quiet that it felt as if I was the only guest (although I wasn’t). The room was cleaned every day.

The bathroom could do with a couple of shelves to put one’s toiletries on, pegs that actually hold the towels rather than let them slide off, as well as a better ventilation system (this wasn’t a big problem for me though as I travelled on my own and spent a lot of time outside anyway).

When I realized that the hotel was a 1 star, I thought I had made a mistake overlooking that when i booked the room. Instead, I was wrong. This place was exactly what I needed. Clean, comfortable, walking distance to the train station and all attractions, very helpful and friendly staff, and most of all, great value. I would highly recommend this place if you are going to Rome as a tourist. I surely would stay there again.

Nothing to not like, unless the build appearance makes a difference. It's Rome. Expect buildings to be outdated in Rome.

Spacious room with high ceiling. A lift in the building was a big plus. Air conditioner and all other electrical appliances worked properly. Decent room service. Microwave and basic utensils in the communal area. Good location - close to Roma Termini and Colosseum. The staff who helped with our check-out and luggage storage was friendly.

The bed and pillows were not very comfortable. The toilet brush (we didn’t use it and we believe this was where a faint, unpleasant smell came from) could be cleaned more regularly.
