Augusta Lucilla Palace

The location of the hotel was perfect. The staff was very kind and the breakfast was one of the best I have had across Europe. The rooms, bath and bed were all clean and the place is hygienic. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to come and visit Rome in a limited period of time. The restorable nearby was also owesome.

In the bathroom we had a small problem. During the shower the water was not flowing quickly.

The main reason for selecting this Hotel was its location which was just a few hundred meters from the Rome Railway Station. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of food, beverages etc.

It was strange to note that such a Hotel did not have any Iron/Ironing Board in the room. When we did request for one, we were told that they do not have any irons in the Hotel and was given a tiny steamer in place of an Iron. Surely, placing such an equipment(Iron) in the room would not cost them more than 30 - 40 Euro and for the room price you do expect the Hotel to have one.

Everything was perfect. Extremely friendly staff, very good service. The bed and pillows is very comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and superb. The hotel is very close to the metro and bus station and 15 min by foot to the Colosseum , more attractions and shops. There are many good restaurants and cafeterias. Recommend!

I think if it had a leisure facility, swimming pool, sauna or something it could have charged more money!

The hotel location is perfect. Near the Termini just 5 mins walking. Near bus stations and Metro as well. Clean room, however the shower enclosure is narrow, but it’s ok.. The breakfast is great many varieties and you can take snacks to go. Staff are just ok, but manage your own trips at the city with the tour companies NOT thru the hotel receptionists! The reception recommended me a tour ticket to Navona that I booked and thought it’s a tour guider trip, however it wasn’t and the ticket was typically the ticket that you can purchase on site for Navona Underground Experience! I paid €28 at the hotel reception and the trip is just €14 per one adult! So double price 😐. But overall, I enjoyed that hotel.

The receptionists, unfortunately They could be more helpful and passionate! Plus, you need to inform the guest from the beginning that there is a €6 additional per night for city 4 stars hotel. There is no sound proof, you can easily hear people walking the corridor outside your room. Other than that, the hotel has no comments from my side.

The location is convenient, it's a short walk away from Roma Termini, so good when taking the train from the airport to the city. It's also quite close to the Colosseum (20 min walk). There's a metro station nearby as well, from where Vatican can be reached. Breakfast was ok, a lot of sweet options (pastry, croissants, pies) and the basic salty options (omlette, sausages, cheese, meats). The room and bathroom were decent and clean. The bathroom had free toiletries and plenty of towels.

It's not really a 4 stars hotel, but rather 3 stars. Overall, the hotel is a bit outdated, the room and bathroom could have used a bit of rennovation. We could pretty much hear every sound from the room next to us (including bathroom noises). Thankfully, our neighbours did not make much noise, but that's not always the case.

Massage bed

Very close to Roma Termini station and metro stations at Repubblica and Termini and many bus stops, which made for getting around Rome very easy. Room was small and no chair but desk chair (in a four star hotel I was surprised). Great bed (they make a big deal about their massage beds), and large bathroom, just wish the room was bigger. Breakfast had the most choices of any hotel I’ve stayed on this trip, very delicious.

The location of the property was near the Rome Termini Rail Station which makes commute easy. The property was well maintained, rooms were clean and breakfast had quite a range of options. If you are an Indian then, quite a few Indian restaurant options nearby the location of the hotel.

Wifi connectivity was very bad in the room. Another point which was disappointing was that we were provided a minibar in the room but the snacks and drinks in the minibar was informed to be chargeable. Suggestion would be if the minibar option is provided to guests then all snacks and drinks provided in the minibar should have been either free and available to guest or should have been included in the room cost itself.

The location is very ideal if you are interested in visiting the historical attractions because it is near two metro lines and many possibilities for busses. The staff was very polite and the breakfast was good.

AlThe walls of the rooms were covered with some sort of carpeting that caused me to get allergies because it collected a lot of dust
