The Hive Hotel

This hotel is in an excellent location for sight seeing and walking distance to Termini station. It also has a gorgeous, enormous rooftop. Great shower, comfy beds.

Our room was on the ground floor facing a back street and it was quite noisy - could hear garbage trucks in the middle of the night. Bring ear plugs!

Very handy location, extremely clean environments and beautiful rooms in general. There's a very nice roof terrace with restaurant, although I didn't use it personally. Staff at reception were very kind, and spoke excellent english. The beds were extremely comfortable, excellent night sleep.

The coffee/tea offering in the rooms is poor, from a similar hotel I would expect a coffee machine with a couple of complimentary pods and a better selection of tea. Personal note, I didn't like the room fragrance that cleaning staff spray after refreshing the room, the staff has kindly agreed to not use it in my room.

The first suite had a poor seal on the window, so the room was somewhat noisy for sleeping. Staff immediately switched rooms, giving me a huge upgrade in room type. The room was very quiet. Very nice washroom facilities with double sinks. Excellent customer care and service. The hotel has a very good restaurant as well. Staying at The Hive made our week-long stay in Rome a very enjoyable experience.

Found which light switch controlled which lights a little confusing initially, but eventually figured it out.

Beautiful and clean hotel with comfortable large rooms and bathrooms. Excellent location within a 5 minutes walk from Roma Termini train & metro station and a 2 minutes walk to Santa Maria Maggiore basilica. Breakfast was rich and the staff were welcoming and courteous. Beautifully designed rooms inspired by beehives with even honey scented shampoo and shower gel.

Paralellogram shaped elevators (maybe to mimic the bee hive shape?) that can barely fit a couple of large bags stand out in the otherwise immaculate hotel design.

It is almost a 7 minutes walking distance to the termini station. The room was spacious and very Clean.

There was no internet in my room, which was in the second floor, room no. 238. In the last day when we made the checkout and asked The reception man to call a taxi for us he told us that in this day there is a taxi strike and he will bring us a private van to take us to the airport for 70 euro. But when we came to take the van we found that there are another two people are coming with us and the price now is 100 euro and we can share the 100 euro. He should told us from the beginning that and not in the last minute.

Great location walking distance from the train station and walking distance to a lot of great sightseeing and restaurants. They had our room available for early check in which was great after a long day of travel

The bed was a little too firm for my preference

Room very spacious. Modern design. Comfortable bed and good size bathroom . Not overcrowded, could not hear other guests . Hotel located not far from the train station and all attractions, approx. 10-15min walk. Staff superfriendly. Room cleaned every day to high standards. Roof top bar with sofas made our stay even more special. Safe Neibourhood with good affordable restaurants, wine bars and coffee shops serving delicious breakfast. Would definitely come back. Great place for short city break.

Pricey restaurant and breakfast. With so many choices around should have been less expensive. Not sure if fine dining suits the place...serving honest and simple italian dishes would have worked better. But that's my personal opinion. Would have been nice if rooms had coffee machine not instant coffee sachets. Shower without thermostat would go from hot to lukewarm. But not a major issue for me. Slightly noisy in the morning due to nearby traffic, but manageable. Do not understand some poor reviews on google as overall is a nice hotel.

Everything was perfect! The room was big and super clean, the bed was very comfy and the lobby is spacious.

I wish the street was cleaner but that’s not a matter of the hotel…

Hive is a good comfortable property. 5 minutes walk to Roma Termini and about 15 minutes easy and exploring walk towards Trevi. it’s in middle of everything giving access to all sides. room was spacious, clean, good shower, all perfect. will stay at Hive again when in Rome

I love the modern decor, spaciousness and how clean the hotel is. The rooms are nice and allow a lot of natural light in. It's very important to note that unlike a lot of places I have stayed in, the room actually looks like the picture and didn't disappoint on size. The bathroom/toilet was a dream. I'm certainly coming back here on my next trip to Rome.

It would have been nice if they had a Spa/swimming pool or other onsight amenities. I asked the staff about the Spa and was basically told no. She couldn't even recommend anywhere. I walked out of the hotel and literally just opposite the hotel was a fabulous Thai massage parlour. It would be great if the staff were more helpful, atleast know their surroundings and make recommendations to make our stay more enjoyable.
