Hotel Nardizzi Americana

As a solo traveler, it's very important that the hotel feels safe and secure, which it definitely did. The main entrance is very secure and uses an intercom after dark, making it very safe. The hotel is very close (900 m) to Termini station (about a 10 minute's walk), Most guests were either couples, families, or professionals traveling for work purposes, which makes a nice and quiet environment for the hotel. The hotel is on the 4th floor and has an elevator, so no need to worry about luggage. The staff members are very kind and helpful and always offer caffé, amazingly delicious cornettos, pastries, and tea all the time. The room I had was a good size, the bed was very comfortable (queen), and it has a closet with hangers, a table, and 2 chairs. The bathroom was very big and comfortable. I had a weak internet connection in my room (which was about 12 meters from the entrance), but I asked the person in charge of the front desk if I could sit in the lobby and he was very helpful in arranging a table and chair for me, close to an electrical outlet. Also, the cleaning crew does a very fast and efficient job and is very mindful of noise and privacy.

You have to consider that the building is old and does not isolate sounds, so if your room is near the entrance, you will hear everything that's going on, just ask for a more quiet room in the back. If you're a light sleeper, keep this in mind. Also, the bedsheets are not changed at all. I stayed for 5 days and always had the same sheets, but I neglected to ask the cleaning staff to change them, which I'm certain they would have done because they were very nice all the time and supplied me with extra toiletries when I asked. The towels were changed daily. I would recommend the hotel check the shower doors/curtains because they are somewhat outdated, have some tears, and do not close properly, so there is some spillage when taking a shower.

Good location - we walked all the time of stay, only once used underground travelling to Vatican. Near by are a lot of nice cafes, restaurants and shops. Tasty coffee and pastries were offered nicely all the time. Manager offered to us a Rome map and adviced what can we visit during our stay. which was were very nice and useful for us. Room was designed in gold-browny style with some nice pictures.

Well, we were surprised that this hotel is actually one level flats ( on the 5th floor) transformed in stay rooms. I mean that it is not a regular hotel as we expected to be. But after a few days were got used to this. ) Rooms need to be renovated definetely (dirty stains and paint came off on the walls). Cleaning was done daily. But bedspread and pillows smelled like if it had not been washed/ cleaned for a long time.

The hotel was really easy to access and, despite not being EXTREMELY centrally located, it was close to a variety of public transport choices, as well as the RV terminal. Excellent, polite and accommodating staff. The room was very good and warm, perfect for two people and the bathroom was one of the best we've seen.

We found a couple (literally, two) small bugs in our bed, the first night. However, the staff was quick enough to change our bed sheets and towels every day. There was no breakfast option, as they were renovating the breakfast room. Despite that, they offered free coffee and pastries every morning. There is also a vending machine.

The location of the property is very close to attractions, Roma termini,restaurants. The Army barracks is few steps away so it’s in a very safe area. also it is very clean, beddings are changed everyday. Staff are super kind and helpful. Rooms are a bit outdated but they are in the middle of renovations. The owners showed us the newly renovated room and they are stylish, modern and elegant so the next time I’m in room I will stay with them.

The fact that the hotel occupies the 4th floor of the building requires a bit of energy to climb up, there is a lift that can accommodate 4 people max but is slow and old. The breakfast/dining area not available during our stay. There was no facility for ironing/laundry, maybe that will change after the renovations.

The room was very clean throughout my stay. The air conditioning worked and the bed was comfortable. The location is excellent with the train station nearby and quick access to most tourist attractions in the city.

I stayed in a room close to the reception, so the noise was constant due to the exit and entry of guests. The hotel is located on one of the top floors. To reach the reception you can use the stairs or an elevator. It's important to point out that this isn't the only hotel in the building.

- excellent location - walking distance to all major tourist attractions - Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps very close, walked to Vatican City, Colosseum, Forum Romanum multiple times / walking distance to the main train station, metro stations, buses etc - Mario - the consierge on the morning shift made me feel at home from day one, suggested places to visit, provided insight as to local life and helped with taxi to the airport at the end - all much appreciated - good location for food and shopping - the elevator is an old style with a door - all you do is pull the door to get in , and push it to get out when you arrive at the floor you need to be - when you arrive later at night you need to ring the bell and the door will be opened

The location is decent (close enough to the main attractions, but you will walk at least 15 min to get anywhere). It's close to the metro station, and that's a big plus. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The room was OK. On the small side, with not too many facilities, but clean and comfortable

The walls are thin so noise might be an issue. Also, the main corridor door can be very noisy when opened/closed, which can be heard in all rooms. The location, as mentioned, is decent but not excellent. Value for money is so-so

Loved the location! So convenient and well connected. The charm of the old building it’s houses in just made it that much more appealing. The staff are great. Mario and his team had great recommendations and they were absolutely gracious. They offered a glass of juice or cold water when I got back from walking around, checked to see if I needed anything, really felt well taken care of.

The only thing that I would maybe like to see more of are plug points in the room. But that’s only if I’m really nitpicking.

The shower in the bathroom was permanently stuck on the wall, so it was not possible to bathe without washing your hair. There was rust on the bathroom radiator where the towels were placed, making it uncomfortable to use them (thankfully we had brought our own). There was only a switch-on/off button for the air-condition, located on the wall next to the entrance of the room, making it impossible to remotely control it.

Before booking this place we have read the previous reviews so we managed our expectations accordingly (not very stable WIFI, it takes some time for the water to get warm etc.) But... The price was moderate, the location was central and we were enjoying free croissant and coffee each morning. The staff was very helpful and we used the possibility to store some products in the hotel's fridge.
