Smooth Hotel Rome West

FRONT DESK SERVICE WAS AMAZING. My son and I arrived on a very early flight and the front desk lady managed to check us into a room way before the check in time, which we appreciated greatly. The room was the perfect size for two people and the air conditioning was very welcomed considering the heat wave outside (mid-July is always super hot in Rome). The hotel offered two complementary water bottles in the room fridge, upon arrival. Free Internet was available and strong enough for video conferencing even on the forth floor. The balcony was beautiful, including the two swings. The property was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was sufficient and of decent quality. The price was good compared to other properties located in more central areas. The property is about 10-15 min walk from the Cornelia metro/subway station, 10 metro stops from Termini Train Station and about 7 metro stops from Fontana Trevi, all on the Metro A line, so no changing metros is needed. There are also buses between the Cornelia metro station and the property, but we chose to walk back and forth as needed. Sidewalks between the metro station and this property are rather narrow so strollers and wheelchairs will have a rough time navigating. The neighbourhood was safe, and there were a couple restaurants across the street serving decent food, as well as a small convenience store a couple doors down from the hotel. A gas station is also close by for those who choose to drive. We had a great stay and a positive experience at this property!

The water at the shower was oscillating between super hot and cold at various intervals during the shower. The property is a bit far from the centre, but it did not bother us. However, for people with strollers or wheelchairs it may not be very convenient.

The room was good for the price, and the bathroom had a bathtub. It was less than 15 minutes walks to the closest subway station.

We tried to have dinner one night and they refuse to serve us because they had booked an outside group of 60 people; but they didn’t let us know (the sign kept showing open and working ) and the waiter seemed quite annoyed that we were asking why we couldn’t have dinner. We ended up going out in the rain and found a place a couple of blocks away.

Great location, away from city center, but only 15 minute walk, 3 bus stops, to the metro to go anywhere. A few very nice places to dine nearby, or even more choices within walking distance. Breakfast was a great add on, made each day easy to start. Clean rooms, no issues with any amenities. Not a new place at this point, and nothing fancy, but great for the value.

A bit older, away from the happening of the city life, IF that's important. Otherwise really not much to complain about.

Great breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Huge private balcony. Refrigerator in room. Elevator was speedy. Very check-in.

Desk could have been bigger. Shower stall very small. A/C would stay on highest fan setting for only a minute before dropping back to lowest speed. u

The room was very clean and breakfast was good. The property manager Elena was incredible!. We had some unfortunate health issues during our stay and she was extremely helpful, kind, professional and very personable.

Nice Hotel with friendly staff, clean and comfortable, breakfast was ok, and the room was large with a nice balcony,14 minutes walking from the nearest metro station.

the noise from the street and elevators, and the bathroom curtains need to be replaced.

The property is pretty small but very convenient. The room is clean and the breakfast was okay. it’s close to metro by like 20min walk but I suggest to take taxi if you are having heavy luggages. The staff are all friendly and accommodating.

Nike it’s an overnight stay.

Fantastic service, and fantastic staff. Clean, tidy. Restaurant with great food and drink. Welcome to children. We, who have 4 children of different ages, did not feel inconvenienced at all. Toy corner and friendly staff who helped with a lot. Recommended

Minus is the breakfast buffet, a bit stingy for a 4-star hotel. Not many options for vegetarians

Fair hotel for this money. But of course it could be better.

The hotel is located on the crossroad, midges that bit all the legs in a restaurant at breakfast, noisy, the room is not so clean (dirty walls). 15 min from city center by car

I liked the breakfast, the size of the rooms and the staff are very nice and helpful. Especially, Carmen was very nice. The location is also ideal.

The toiletries are very basic and the bath tub looks very old. Sometimes they never restocked complimentary waters.
