The Radical Hotel Roma

Great location, 15 minute walk to Rome Termini, and 5 minute walk to two metro stations. Also walking distance to some main attractions. The hotel is located in a second floor of an old building, you enter by a big old wooden door, then go up to the second floor by a nice old elevator or by the stairs. When you get to the hotel, you perceive a nice contrast with the building, it has a modern touch in its arquitectural finishes, very well done, well kept. The room was confortable, clean, good AC. Personnel were very kind, willing to help on tourist questions, they prepared a list of recommended restaurants, because in Rome there’s lots of tourist traps.

Breakfast was included, it was brought to the room in the morning, you had to order it by a checklist the previous night, the first day everything arrived as we ordered, the next two days, some things we ordered didn’t arrive.

I love that we can make our own cocktails - and the bar area is a delight so it was great to invite friends round and treat the place as my home! And i love the juxtaposition of the hotel - in a boring looking apartment block. It is radical! Staff are delightful - even when I complained! And the location is really handy for downtown Rome - and for Monte area where I work

The breakfast lets down the hotel. It is a sweet breakfast - if you want something savoury - eggs, meats ,cheeses, then they send out and charge extra. I had the scramble eggs - awful. I have had the suite before - fab! This time I had room 10 - a junior suite - awful to have th sower in the bedroom (and of course it leaks!) which means collecting the towels from the bathroom - disappointing. I had an ordinary room too and that was better!

Very modern rooms, cleaned daily, towels replaced daily. Lovely AC in rooms especially being out in the city all day with the extreme heat we had. Breakfast served to room daily was nice and very well prepared. Location was good as it’s 5/10 minute walk from all the hustle and bustle of the city allowing for a quiet setting when you just want to get back and relax. If you are going to be out a lot like me and my wife were this hotel is perfect. Come back a couple after mins for power naps then back out again for the evening. Comfy beds all good.

The only one thing which was not major but still we found a little annoying. Was you can hear other guests, reception clearly when you are trying to get your head down after a busy day. If someone came in late you could hear everything if you wasn’t asleep. But this is a minor and not sure how they can quite change it anyway. But all in all would highly recommend when you are staying in Rome for a few days sight seeing.

The staff was knowledgeable and super friendly, the breakfast was seriously incredible, and I loved the location! The colors of the space were so soothing, too. I will definitely stay here again on future trips to Rome!

The only negative part was that I came back late from a Monti nighttime tour and the door was locked. I don't recall reading anywhere that that would happen, but I may have missed it. I ended up calling the reception number and someone let me in, thank goodness!

Location was good and the front desk staff (Giada) was very courteous, helpful and professional; she also had a very beautiful smile. The room was modern and large enough (although we did get the only Suite) and I liked that the toilet and shower were separate. I probably would have enjoyed the breakfast more if I ate it at the cafe/bar of the hotel.

I bumped into the door of the toilet twice because it was glass facing the mirror, kinda tricky. I think they should put a sticker of sorts just to remind the guests that it is a glass door.

The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is ordered in the day before, from a list, being delivery in the room, with no delays. I found it very convenient and I am happy that it helps to not waste food. I had no problems in locating the hotel, but I understand that it can be easily missed by someone that is expecting a traditional hotel with a big facilities. For me, it helped knowing that it was behind a wood door.

Lovely Hotel and Staff were excellent.

We paid extra for the room with the bathtub yet we were unable to use it because the hot water never reached above warm at best. It was quick showers for us. The breakfast is very basic - A bowl of fruit and bakery goods or toast. So if you are after something more substantial you may be disappointed staying here.

The staff was amazing, very friendly and supportive! They asked us every time we left or returned to hotel if everything was alright and even provided us with a very detailed list with great restaurant recommendations. The hotel is very stylish and the breakfast concept is also very nice (they bring it to your room at the time requested). The room is well equiped with all the things you need and very clean. The location is also great and you can easily experience Rome by foot from there.

The room door and walls are not very thick, so we could hear the other guests or the staff from time to time.

The breakfast was great - I loved the trolley it came on, delivered to our room. Having access to the communal dining/reading area was also a good feature. The location was perfect - in a safe area of Rome close to all the main attractions but quiet enough to be away from the hustle and bustle of the busier parts of the city. We liked the "boutique" nature of the hotel - it didnt have a grand entrance or lavish appointments, but it was modern, funky and very comfortable.

The entrance to the property was a little confusing but once we figured it out it was fine.

Our hotel stay was absolutely fantastic. Staff were on hand to help 24/7 which made check in/out extremely smooth. Breakfast was promptly delivered each morning and staff were more than happy to help with our queries. The room was a fantastic size and extremely clean. It had USB chargers and plenty of hanging and drawer space for our clothes as well as a lovely big bed. The view was non-existent (into a courtyard) but this did not bother us. Location was convenient and we walked everywhere rather than getting a taxi or metro.
