Hotel Paganelli

Location and view from the roof terrace. We were literally right by the San Zaccaria boat bus stops for the Vaporetto to various places and Alilaguna line from the airport. Just a few steps from the Bridge of Sighs, San Marco Square and the Basilica. Lots of restaurants and bars close by with all budgets. Had everything we needed in the room which was also air-conditioned. Breakfast was good. Not a massive choice but was perfectly adequate. Venice is amazing

Not a huge amount of room or places to put our things but just a minor point.

Great location, great staff. The rooms are nice, clean, a bit small but you expect that from the hotel information provided when booking. Also, we enjoyed the breakfast. We saw that it had a rather small rating, but it was good. Not a large selection of food, but you can not acomodate everyone’s breakfast routine.

The only problem was with the mosquitos that entered the bathroom through the ventilation system … the hotel provided an device, that mostly resolved the problem.

Location - top central always walking to the main attractions. Since we were travelling with family this was a bonus for us. Staff always present at reception and very accommodating to the requests we had. Cleanliness on top as well and even breakfast had a good choice.

On the whole there was nothing we did not like. As said above staff, location and cleanliness are the top things we look for in hotel and they were all satisficed. Honestly we did not think the hotel was this good. Thumbs up!

Location. Very centric, super close to Piazza San Marco, main water transport station etc. View from window. Room wasn’t big but for us enough comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Also our room was ready and available earlier (very happy about that)!

There were some issue with air conditioning but staff helped. A bit limited choice at breakfast and need to walk outside. (take into account if weather is not so good)

The location is superb. It is just a few minutes walk from S. Marco cathedral and literally on the boardwalk of the grand canal. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our train was only at the evening and there was no problem to keep our suitcase in.

The bathroom was clean and toiletries were good. With that the toilet seat was a bit small, the hairdryer was hard to use (must hold the button all time + short cable), the hot water were not hot enough in the morning.

Fantastic location, we got off at S.Zaccaria water bus and it was almost opposite and 5 min walk to Saint Mark’s Basilica and the Doge Palace. The staff were so helpful and friendly, especially someone called Elvis. They helped with directions, recommendations, water bus, gondola and even a post box! Lovely team. It might be more expensive than other places as the room was comfortable but snug, but the location, standard of the room and service was exceptional. Would recommend!

I would say for two people and a large suitcase it felt a tiny bit snug, but we used it as a base to just sleep ao worked for us. If you want a spacious room then ours wasn’t but the high standard of the interior definitely made up for that!

The location is excellent, room in annex clean and comfortable, good shower.

Unfortunately, the waiter in the breakfast room was very rude. His behavioir was unacceptable. This man clearly does not enjoy his job and let his frustration go out over the guests. This was the case every morning that he was there. This is a pity because it it lowers the total experience in an otherwise very good hotel.

if it were closer we had slept inside St Marks Basílica :) it is one minute walking from St. Marks Square. The main hotel is in front of the water and most vapporeto lines. The annex hotel is around the corner. The St. Zacarías station is one of the main stops on express water lines from/to the airport (50 mins €15 one way) and from/to the ferrovia (€15 one way train station 30 mins). Beautiful views from the boats. Clean facility, nice bathroom, kettle with powder coffee in rooms. Also air conditioning and safe deposit. We would return.

I liked everything. only thing that could improve the experience is a discount : )

the location was perfect, close to the water bus and transportation and main attraction like Piazza San Marcos. the front desk was very helpful and accommodating , especially Elvis.

the restaurant next door was OK for breakfast, but we booked it for dinner one evening on the website before arriving, thinking the location was with a view, which was disappointed. The food was good though.

staff was very attentive and location is great. Breakfast is included and is located around the corner at a different hotel but was excellent and very filling.

our room was the only room on the first floor and was located in the corner next to a common sitting area. We were woken early in the a.m. from returning guests who were very loud. Other than this, the hotel is great and I would recommend it but try to avoid room 601 (strange number for a first floor room).
