Hotel Danieli, Venice

The hotel is magnificent. The service is superb and the restaurant (La Terrazza) was excellent. It was expensive but that was understandable given the level of service and the period we stayed (durning the Biennale, Film Festival and Regatta)

On leaving we were not offered the service of a porter to help us with the luggage to the water bus that we had to use as the hotel couldn't provide us a taxi boat. For such an historic building I found it most frustrating that The hotel could offer no literature to on the history of the palace

We were staying in a Dandolo room which is in the main part of the hotel. Everything was perfect. The staff especially were exceptional. We missed our connecting flight to Venice so we were stuck in Vienna so effectively missed our first night. I called them from Vienna to explain what was happening and if we could alter our reservation and extend it for a day and not be charged for that night. They were wonderful. Told us not to worry and they would make all the changes with no penalty. We arrived a lot earlier than normal check-in time the next day and we were taken straight to our room. The lady at reception was so sweet and helpful. When you're staying at the Danieli you really do feel special. It's an iconic hotel and I had a smile on my face the entire time I was there. Absolutely wonderful. !!!

Not much space around the sink in the bathroom to put toiletries etc. I kept dropping my things on the floor, unfortunately.

The hotel is a piece of art in itself. You are staying a museum. Not to mention the incredible terrace, how welcomed the staff make you feel and in the perfect location!

The rooms are a bit run down. They still carry the charm or the old days, but you can see recent stains on the walls.

The hotels location was just exceptional, room amazing…. mamamia! I want to thanks the all staff, each single one, I insist each single one. A very special thanks to the Hotel restaurant, particularly the Sommelier, he was incredible. Very high level of food/wine went beyond our expectation, I still see the exceptional meat 10/10 and this unique Italian wine 🥰 (believe me…a French loving usually only “Bordeaux…” and saying this count double ☺️). The Hotel Danieli is a leaving myth, I can’t say less, «James B. » would agree I’m sure. I promise, I’ll come back with a very nice smoking…I’m so impatient. wiew was perfect

Breakfast room was a quite spectecular... Heart of the city... But when we get there they did not open the terrace (even the weather was really good), after I insist they open the balconey which is the only impoartant thing about the breakfast cause buffet was not so special... but unfortunatelly even the balcony was empty they did not give us a first row table, they say it is reserved for lunch!!!!! arrival evening we wanted to checked the restaurant but they did not let us to go to Balcony, thay say dinner was serving and we were not allowed to enter the balcony (we were hotel guestssss) even they did not let us to take a picture...

Third time in many years. Just a great place/ very authentic, stylish, comfortable, friendly staff, great location, great food. What else do you want? And arriving (and sadly leaving) by water taxi always a feast.

clean spacious room always adds to the feeling of luxury and this is a lux hotel... Venice style... location is superb, high end of town, next door to the palace, square and high end shopping within 1-200m. A lot of stairs and small elevators but that's normal for the city. restaurant on roof has excellent food. we didn't try breakfast but paid up for lunch and wasn't disappointed. roof top has good views.

nothing, their is nothing bad just just some things are what they are .... its an old palace so has lots of passageways, stairs etc. I suppose the bar in the lobby is a big space - hard to keep an atmosphere if its empty (but the opposite is true also.
