Location - Walking distance to downtown San Jose (20min-ish) or a short cab ride (<$10) Infrastructure - Beautiful property and very well maintained Service - Great service, especially at the pool and the restaurant Food & Beverage - Good blend of local and "american" flavor. Fairly well priced as well.

Concierge: could do a much better job on tailoring experiences. unfortunately, all they had was standard options from local agencies. I was expecting more from a premium resort. Pool area/chairs: this was a joke and the reason why I don't give 5 stars to this stay! Other guests reserved multiple chairs every day around 6 am. They would not use them until 2 pm or not even use them at all. Some days we couldn't find any chairs to use and staff wouldn't help to "un-reserve" the chairs not being used. This was a bad experience, not to mention the revenue opportunity the hotel missed as we couldn't consume F&B by the pool.

The room and facilities were beautiful and very comfortable.

There are not enough chairs and lounges around the pool. If you don’t claim a spot by 7:00 AM you won’t get one. The restaurant situation was not ideal. It seems like there should have been another option to eat, and it would be nice if there was a nice bar on the facility. The price advertised is not what you will pay. All of the taxes and fees will almost double the price. This should be disclosed when you are booking.

gorgeous pool area and amazingly beautiful and comfortable rooms. loved the pillows!

the insistence on not bringing your own food and drinks to the pool area. no complementary water in the room (small bottle given on arrival) and the store prices are expensive.

The resort is absolutely gorgeous. The pools were perfection. I will definitely be coming back. The service was on point. There is a Starbucks cafe and market on site. It was very clean and not overcrowded. They have a kids pool, adults only pool and swim up bar! All of the staff was super nice! It’s not a party resort.

At check in, I was double charged for deposit hold. They don’t take Discover card. I did not bring multiple cards for safety. So instead of refunding me they upgraded my room. The bathroom floors are EXTREMELY slippery after your shower. Yes I slipped and had leg injury. My grand baby fell hitting her head.

Very friendly and helpful service from check in to check out across the board. The main pool was gorgeous and there were two additional smaller pools, one for 21+ and one for families, no shortage of lounge chairs/beds. The swim up bar was fun too (note Happy Hour between 3-5pm, two for one cocktails!). We booked a junior suite and it was much bigger than we anticipated. As a couple in our mid 30s, it was nice to have a large bedroom with sliding doors to a living room area, and a bathroom big enough for us each to have our own sink area. It's easy to get into town if you have a car, want to take a short Uber ride, or a $1 bus ride. The main restaurant on site is Javier's which we had a great dinner at. It is spendy (no shock for a resort), but we had great service, wine, and food. We had left overs from dinner, our room did not have a microwave in it but when I called the front desk to ask if there was somewhere that I could heat them up for lunch the next day, they had a microwave to our room within less than two minutes without me asking for one; I was so surprised but appreciated it! They are really on top of anything that you need if you ask. The beach is right out front of the hotel and beautiful for morning/evening walks. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the activities at the hotel, especially ping pong, volleyball, dive in movie, pool aerobics and Latin dancing! Diego was very friendly and fun! We also enjoyed the tacos and Chilaquiles at Flor de Noche and the food at Javier’s was amazing! All of the staff was very friendly and attentive! We loved going to the kids pool everyday and enjoyed the moments when there weren’t a lot of other families there. Housekeeping was excellent as well! We felt very secure at the resort and we really want to go back next year!

The music could have been better, especially at the kids pool. The music at the main pool was also not very good. Javier’s music was always excellent. It would have been nice to have live music by the main pool for ambiance.

Well maintained rooms with nice details. Rooms are cleaned daily. Nice exterior and kept cleaned. Attentive staff. Expensive but transparent pricing. Free parking. Three pools, one big one and two family friendly pools. There are a few extra options in front of the hotel but we personally didnt use them and instead drove to the nearest super market in our rental.

They try to hook you up for timeshare the moment you check in at "concierge". I dont care if resorts fees are becoming standard, they need to display the final nightly price on websites. For now expect to pay 35% extra from the advertised night rate. Beach is useless for swimming so might as well look for an inland hotel, unless you preffer just watching it. Not sure if its the effects of inflation, but the drinks were not good either. These are not deal breakers and would consider staying here again.

The property is beautiful! The room was clean and well-maintained. The staff are warm, friendly and attentive. There are plenty of lounge chairs and beds around the pools, and on the beach to soak up the sun and listen to the waves. I love that they have activities throughout the day for guests if you don't feel like leaving the property. We played an intense game of movie trivia on the beach! :)

(1) The food wasn't consistent. They have two restaurants on site, Javier's and Flor de Noche. The latter is better. Their salsa is amazing... when they offer the taco bar that is also amazing! The ceviche was bland. Breakfast was just okay. I felt in-room dining was limited as well. We loved that they had an onsite Starbucks! (2) In my opinion the beds were too firm, but my husband likes a firm bed and slept like a rock.
