Hotel Posada Terranova

excellent location close to everything in San Jose and the nightly action at the plaza. It is a short 20 minute walk to the beach and Ubers and Taxis were easily accessible. We also loved having a breakfast restaurant right at the property to make mornings easy!

there wasn’t a safe in the room for valuables and passports. Also the window could have been more secure with a lock that worked better.

Stayed before so expectations were met - Be aware no room safe but never had any problems here . Dog barking second night all night was irritable but a common issue in Mexico - becuase of the holiday no restaurant which is understandabel but wish they at least had a morning coffe available.

The location is quiet but also close to popular areas. It feels very secure with their security guards. The staff is very nice. It's an older building and utilities but is well kept and clean.

The towels and blankets could use some updating. They appear old and well used. The water pressure in the shower is not great.

This hotel is located in a good area of central plaza in downtown San Jose. Everything is nearby whether you are walking or taking an uber. The restaurant on site has amazing breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again without a doubt!

My very small complaint would be that the rooms do need some updating and they are small BUT they are clean and that's very important to me.

Had to park on street. A spot was offered in the alley next to the hotel, but would have required leaving keys at desk so it could be moved if other vehicle(s) needed to move in or out of the alley. Small inconvenience to park on street.

Great location, super friendly and helpful staff. Great value for your money

Overall maintenance of property was disappointing. Ceiling fan did not work, lights flicker due to worn and frayed electrical cords. Hot water ran out and generally just lots of little things that need fixing.

Lower your expectations and you'll be happy. Very basic room but totally adequate for an overnight stay. Great staff . Really good breakfast and walking distance to everything.

Try park out front. Our rental got sideswiped around the corner.

convenient location, walking distance to art walk and many nice restaurants including a taco place for locals. easy to get Uber. friendly staff. free drinking water.

takes a while to get lukewarm shower water

Great location and staff are very nice. The restaurant serves amazing breakfasts. The beds are comfortable and the rooms were clean.

Was a bit noisy but we stayed over Christmas so it was expected due to the central location.

Nice old hotel. Quaint, clean and great location. Owners are very accommodating. Wonderful front patio area for eating or relaxing in the evening. Close to everything downtown. Would stay again if doing the Art Walk.

Road repairs in San Jose Del Cabo made it impossible to park at the hotel. No detour signs, and all roads blocked. Just a Mexican thing, I guess. Enjoyed our stay once we got there.
