SIX TWO FOUR Urban Beach Hotel

This is a motel that has been remodeled well to be ‘boutique’ in the heart of the hotel district. The little pool was pleasant and the finishes modern. Both upstairs and downstairs rooms have west balconies that were nice to sit on. It is across the street and an access walkway from a beautiful, extensive non swimming beach. They had a water machine to fill your water bottles and refrigerators in the rooms. The next door restaurant was good and had a good modern decor. We like the more laidback feel of San Jose del Cabo. You are about 1/2 mile from a estuary reserve and 2 miles from downtown. They have a Thursday night art walk in the town square for most of the fall-spring season.

Our east window (room 26) looked over a roadway and sidewalk with lots of walkers so we had to keep the blinds shut for privacy when changing. The coffee provided with the room was for one cup, with coffee mate and was not very good. The beach access road did not smell good.

Great value for all that you get! No breakfast on site but our room had a little back patio that was very nice with a view of the golf course. Our door opened right to the pool and it was perfect to lounge around and do some reading. The main desk has beach towels and umbrellas that they lend out which made it easy to head to the beach across the street. There's a lot of food options right next to the hotel but we mostly Ubered to downtown San Jose del Cabo for meals. The front desk was really helpful whenever we had questions and let us use the phone when we were calling tour companies.

We booked a double room and didn't realize that it is two twin beds and not one double bed but that's more on us. The hotel has some brochures for tours but we ended up just booking online because there wasn't any discount.

In an area dominated by huge resorts, it was nice to be able to stay in the kind of small hotel I tend to prefer. The pool was steps away from our room, so we used it every day. The shower was spacious, we had a patio space to ourselves, the king bed was very comfortable and the TV was huge. Staff was very friendly and housekeeping/groundskeeping was always busy spiffing things up. The decor was subtly trendy with attention to detail. Parking was easy.

Very few improvements to be made. One wish was for a translucent window covering layered over the blackout shades on the window and sliding door, to give an option for a bit of privacy without sacrificing all natural light. The location (about a 15 minute drive to the best swimming beaches in Los Cabos, Flora Farms, or central San Jose and 30 minutes to downtown Cabo San Lucas) worked well for my needs, but it would have been challenging to find much to do without a car.

We spent 5 days in this hotel. At first we were a little disappointed by the appearance of the building. But our impression changed once we were in the room. Our room was very nice, with a lovely terrace and a nice bathroom. The cleaning was perfect and the cleaning team is very professional. Same thing for the pool. To know : the beach near the hotel is forbidden to swim. So having a pool was necessary. We felt very welcome. The man at the reception was very nice and helpful. In any case, we are really happy with our stay and we advise all French people to come and stay in this place.

We highly recommend this hotel. If future investments were planned, we have some ideas of improvement: - put some plants to avoid being seen from the street - put plants between the terraces for more privacy - setting up a breakfast and laundry service.

Great location, very nice and modern

Beds very narrow, I didn't see the options for queen / double bed.

An affordable option for travelers on a budget. The room is nice, small, but nice. Perfect for couples with no children. Balcony overlooking the golf course. Shopping and Dining right outside your doorstep and a very quick walk to the beach. Pool is not very large (20 × 24), but at times, we had it all to ourselves. Very nice staff.

More of a recommendation having staff available when early checkout is required, like 7:30 am or a drop-off area for the room keycard.

Nice balcony facing the golf course, good 2nd row location to the beach - max. 5 minutes walking, nice pool for refreshing as the sea was too rough so swimming absolutely impossible and also strictly forbidden; parking lots right in front of the hotel; Beach towels available upon request at the reception

I had a nice room on 2nd floor and "further back" facing the patio; first rooms on ground floor are very exposed to the street and might feel very "motel like"

Absolutely beautiful hotel in the heart of the expensive hotel zone in Cabos. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, I had the best sleep here! Lovely little pool area and they provide towels and good sun loungers. Short walk to the beach, supermarket, lots of restaurants and shops nearby and only 30 min walk into the art walk, it was a lovely stay. Super friendly reception staff. The rooms were spotlessly clean. Thank you so much.

Nice, modern Hotel with excellent location towards beaches and restaurants. They provide beach/pool towels and sun umbrellas for the beach. All the rooms have a balcony or terrace towards the golf court, which is excellent. The pool and the sunbeds. All is very well mantained. Very nice and friendly staff! Gave us tons of tips to which beach we could go! We liked Santa Maria and Playa El Chileno and we loved eating at the Cevicheria El Aguamala. Would come again any time.

Intimate property with great rooms. Booked last minute and felt like the right choice after staying at a big name chain hotel. We loved the vaulted ceiling in the room and the soft yellow vintage lighting in the room. Air conditioning unit worked really well and felt great after walking around in Cabo’s heat. our balcony had the cutest chairs facing the golf course in back. All of my interactions with staff were so great as well. Everyone was genuine and very sweet. The manager gave us solid restaurant recommendations based upon our requests. The pool area was super clean and a perfect size for the hotel.

I forgot to ask, but if I stayed longer a little fitness center would be a nice addition to the property.
