We loved the rural location and very much appreciate the hotel's efforts to provide creature comforts while off the grid. The restaurant's food is delicious and healthful. While some folks have commented that the food is pricey, and it does add up, I'd urge you to consider the cost of trucking water, supplies, food, etc into this gorgeous location. If you surf, check for a big south swell and you've got dreamy point break waves at Nine Palms a short walk down the road. I recommend a higher clearance car, but a AWD is not necessary, just take it easy.

I personally didn't like the cycle of easy listening music played by the restaurant and pool, simply because I prefer quiet, but it was a chill vibe.

This place is such a dream. Driving up the East Cape along the coastline, really made you feel like you were getting away from the bustle of Cabo and into a laid back, wilder and more rugged landscape. We were greeted by donkeys on our drive in, before arriving at this little oasis tucked up the hill. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. You could tell they genuinely love this place and are happy to share this with guest's. We stayed in the Sunrise Suite which had an unobstructed view in front of us to the ocean. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves and woke up to the sunrise streaming through the bedroom currents. Really couldn’t ask for a more relaxing getaway. Next time I’ll definetly come for longer and explore the area!

It was definitely. However the property is quite small so you do see the other guest‘s balcony’s depending on where you are in your own room.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful place, far from everything, perfect to deconnect. Amazing views to the ocean. Perfect yoga deck to see the sunrise. Spotlessly clean, big rooms and comfortable beds. Fireplace in the room. The most beautiful beach is only a few steps walking from the hotel.

Staff is friendly but lacks training in service. Food could be a bit more local for the evening menu, or at least if they propose pasta and pizza, improve it. Tasted the worst pizza ever :( Although for lunch and snacks it was great.

Loved the Lodge, was such a peaceful, relaxing stay. The staff were great, as was the food we had there. The views of the Sea of Cortez were fantastic, and were treated to many whales putting on a show close to shore. This is a perfect getaway, even just for a few days to get away from the hustle and bustle of the resort towns. We will be back again!

Coming from San Jose del Cabo, there is a short stretch of road that is not paved to get to the Lodge. It was fine to drive with our car. I would just recommend taking it slow, and driving during daylight. The end destination is very much worth it!

Classy, well-run boutique with great ambience. Excellent food and the nicest staff. We were upgraded to a bungalow with a tiny plunge pool (very cold in Feb!) - private and comfortable. There is a pool up at the main lodge which is very inviting. Great whale watching from location on a bluff.

Thought it was right on the beach, but it is across the road up on a bluff (no road noise). The walk to the beach is quite long - and no instructions how to get there. You can drive down if you want. This is a relatively new project with some staff/management confusion. They couldn't tell us if water was filtered and safe to drink! After pavement ends it's about half an hour on a jarring dirt road. You don't need an SUV. (Think twice about driving North to Punta Arena - 2 1/2 hours on washboard road.)

Property is stunning! This area is pretty remote and such a peaceful, tranquil break from the business of San Jose or Cabo San Lucas. Staff is very kind and helpful, our room had a gorgeous view, and we loved walking down the beach-- we were the only people for miles. Restaurant on property is really good with a great variety and fair priced food & drinks. If you're interested in visiting the East Cape this is a great place to stay!!

Room rate was a bit high relative to SJC or CSL, but can't speak to how this compares to the prices in East Cape because we specifically wanted to stay here.

service & views from the lobby. our room didn’t have an ocean view. outstanding service by Carlos, Leslie, David, Mattia, Kayla, Su,Rodolfo and the gentleman from the bar. Seems to be a happy place to work. great location to relax. it would be great if there was yoga or free access to the SPA. binoculars during whales season would be awesome. every single employee we run into was friendly and professional.

the food at the restaurant is lack in options and flavors. I’ve informed before arrival I’m celiac (can’t eat gluten) but they didn’t have many options. The employees worked their way to find gluten free bread. We loved the chileaquikes from breakfast and the charcoal lemonade. Service was super slow during breakfast hours.

decor, style, setting, staff. AND THE MUSHROOM GNOCCHI WAS TO DIE FOR.

needed milk at early morning coffee, and some of the exterior steps on the property and gravel was a little dangerous underfoot. the roads to this location are very bumpy and off road, and a bit of a nightmare but once you arrive it worth it. the roads need SUV or jeep. We only stayed one night and booked last minute, but on booking with welcome email I wish we were told that you had to book 24hr in advance for massage as we were unable to have one during out one day stay.

I loved to rooms the view, the pool, the food, the lobby, the furniture, I loved the White Lodge!!!

The only thing I would have done differently is arranged a car to have with us at our stay so we could get around and go to restaurants/beaches. We had planned to use eBikes that were supposed to be available but were not available to us.

Very quiet and secluded get away on the East Cape. Good food and service. While we like a firm bed, the mattress was a little hard for us. If you want peace and quiet though, it is a great choice!
