Hotel Chocolate Tradicional

I loved the view. Ramiro has a GREAT sense of humor. Francisco and Pillar are soooo nice!! If you are worried about the steps, I have Cerebral Palsy. And I LOVED our stay!!! We payed Francisco to help haul our bags. This is Mexico not the states. People shouldn't be writing reviews about the smell in Guanajuato. Concrete buildings and plumbing are different here. The staff went above and beyond to please and make things ultra clean. .

They don't have chocolate!

- Gorgeous decor - Beautiful view - Clean and comfortable - Just a really charming hotel really and to make it even more special, we got engaged on our beautiful balcony!

- Stairs..so many stairs..we counted 112 stairs from the roadside to our bedroom. It’s fine if you’re fit but I’m pregnant and it was a real struggle to walk multiple times a day. Also a real challenge with large suitcases. - Extremely difficult to find, not enough signs. From the road you have to head up some stairs then turn left and go up another staircase but there’s no signs telling you to turn left so it’s extremely confusing. We took half an hour to find the place when we arrived and passed some other confused newly-arrived guests down by the road the next morning and had to advise them where to go

View and location are good, but be prepared for the stairs, as it takes some effort 😀

There was a coffee machine at the room and they did not provide coffee or tea until we asked for, this should be refill everyday. Shower need a lot of improvement they are too hot or to cold and no pressure, shower is not good

coffee was not great quality powdered milk….yuck loose outlets in the room No hair dryer in room - a basic item ( thank goodness for the housekeeper…she got me one when the girl at desk did nothing to look for one) toilet water sometimes wouldn’t replenish

The location and the terasse ! The view is amazing ! The staff was really nice and helpful. The house was clean. It was good value for money.

The smell in the bathroom. The breakfast isn't great but it is worth to take it in order to relax in the morning and admire the view from the terasse.

The rooms was bigger than expected as was the bed. The balcony had an amazing view of the city, especially at night. The closet was huge and everything was decorated beautifully. The rooms don't have numbers on them, instead each room has a chocolate related name. I thought that was very clever.

It was hard to find and there are no signs telling you where the hotel is. Google maps was no help either. There were many steps to get to the hotel and to the room. Definitely tiresome.

Our room had an amazing view and the breakfast was delicious. The terrace is perfect for a glass of wine or beer and relaxing while enjoying the beautiful view. Our rooms were very comfortable and the staff was very nice. Highly recommend this hotel.

The only thing with this hotel is that it is a lot of steps to get to it, but the view makes it worth it. You can always ask the front desk to help you with your luggage, to take them you or down for you, which is very convenient.

Magic view over Guanajuato. Rooms have names of chocolates.Room was really spacey.,No access with a car.

Room comes with breakfast, misleading.Free is toast ,jam and coffee. Not a person spoke little bit of English.

It's a little hassle with check in if you have a car since its must be parked in another location, but they offer shuttle service with an awesome driver! :)

Everything!! Comfortable and feeling like home! Staff is very nice, always checking out if everything is going well. Breakfast is good. The view is so incredible, so cool that deserves every single penny for it! Just loved it, ver great and recommended place.

Just that there were too many steps to get to the hotel.
