If you want to be in the heart of activities in Guanajuato, location can’t be beat! We had a King room with exterior balcony that looked over the Plaza Union, where everything is happening, especially at night. Music, participatory street singing and dancing, street markets on some days, you name it. We could walk to many attractions, tour guides were available if desired.
This would be a perfect 10 if the rooms had AC. They provided a big fan, and actually during the day and evening the room temp was great, but if you decided to get some sleep, you had to close the balcony doors, and things got warm and stuffy. Street noise doesn’t really calm down much.

The location of the hotel is outstanding. It is in the middle of the Centro Histórico. We were able to walk everyone. There are lots of restaurants and cool sightseeing spots. The shower had a lot of pressure which made showers super relaxing. The room was also very clean and got cleaned towels and water each day. We will definitely stay there again. Transportation was very accessible from the hotel as well. We used taxis, Uber, and tours right outside from the hotel.
The room is super small, the WiFi doesn’t work, and if you are a light sleeper be aware that it can get very loud up until 5:00 am. We walked so much during the day that we had no problem sleeping despite of all the noice.

centrally located, comfortable and very friendly attentive staff.
we had a balcony that faced the plaza that some may consider noisy (sometimes until 3AM). However, you must remember that this is Mexico and the noice is part of the ambience. Also there is no AC so on warm evenings we had to leave the window open and hence the street noice. Although it didn’t bother us it may bother some people.

Great location, maybe the perfect for the town. Property has lots of common space - new hotels would not 'waste'. Room was good size, clean, and out the door everything
Do not expect parking here. The whole area if you are driving is a mess. Right outside the tunnel. We walk and run everyone once we are checked in, but getting checked in if you have a vehicle is an issue. No spot to stop and unload so whereever you find to park will require you to shuffle your bags, and there really didnt seem any place close.

· I guess this is the „must book“ hotel when in Guanajuato. It was in the center of the city with a beautiful view and it just gave me „main character vibes“. ;) First of alle very friendly staff, we were able to park at the hotel and they helped us with our luggage. The room was pretty spacious for a „in the center hotel“ and the bed was very comfortable. We didn’t eat here so I can’t say anything about the food.
We didn’t mind but it’s probably good to know that the mariachi (musicians) are playing right across the street in a park until late at night … so i guess this isn’t good if u have a light sleep Or a baby. :)

I liked the location, it is perfectly situated next to literally everything. The taxi drops you off pretty much at the hotel. In the mornings when you step out of the hotel, you are literally in the middle of all the attractions.
There is no AC in the room I got. Luckily it was not too hot, but I can see it being a problem if someone visits in July/August when it is super hot. They do have fans however, but if you hate the heat you might want to call ahead of time and request a room with AC or on the first floor where the rooms dont get hit by the sun like our room on the 3rd floor. Also, I don't recommend getting a room with the balcony view, it seems like Guanajuato does not sleep and there are people out having fun all night long. Unless you are ok with the noise of people having fun outside your window, then I would stay away from the balcony rooms.

The views from our balcony were breathtaking. I have never stayed in a hotel with such an amazing view. We were on the highest floor and it was wonderful. We thought the hotel was very affordable. We had friends staying in hotel in the same plaza and they payed 2 or 3 times the price we paid. The decor of the hotel is very rustic and makes you feel like you are taken back in time without missing out on basic necessities. There was no air conditioning in our room but it was not needed we were there in February. The room was very nice liked the simplicity of it. The noise might bother some but it was amazing to us. In the morning you hear the church bells and you can hear the authentic sounds of a Mexican town. Everything is close and walking distance.
The bed was a little stiff for our liking and the pillows could have been bigger. Light sleepers beware on weekends the music can play till 2am take ear plugs. Note (not a dislike)- contact hotel about where is the nearest drop off or parking prior to arriving.

The location is perfect! You can hear the music all day long and see entertainment "callejoniadas" and the live mariachi/groups from the balcony room #402. If you aren't fan of the noise I don't suggest a room with a balcony. We loved it!
No AC so rooms are stuffy, we kept the balcony door open alot for the fresh air. There's only a standing fan.

it’s a beautiful hotel in the center of town
(center of town )! It can get crazy noisy, and with no ac windows open street bands playing … Aside from that, hotel is a beautiful historic building in the historic center of town and views were great on exterior rooms
