Fernando was so helpful with everything. Francisco also helped out as needed. Gloria made us wonderful breakfasts to order. Our room was spacious, clean, the beds comfortable, and the showers had good pressure. It was also quiet and peaceful with a view of the inner courtyard, although I could imagine that the rooms facing the street could be less quiet. We’d consider coming here again.

We needed to ask for additional bottled water but the staff was always happy to get us more. Also, it’s a little bit of a hike into the central area, but well worth it. We almost always took a quick cab ride or Uber home up the steep hill.

The place was clean, convenient, and all the staff members were wonderful. I was made a delicious breakfast every morning, and the room which was beautiful was cleaned to perfection every day. Also, one of the staff members who spoke fluent English, was able to help me with any small issue that came up, and help me arrange for numerous things such as my transportation back to the airport. It was a warm, friendly, and wonderful environment, and I would highly recommend it without reservation to anyone who is thinking about staying in San Miguel on vacation.

There was nothing that I did not like, as discussed above, everything was wonderful.

Hotel Sierra de Sol y Luna is a wonderful B&B with a great staff. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The hotel is located high above San Miguel de Allende with great rooftop views of the town and surrounding area. If you have trouble with walking, this is may not the place for you as the hotel is on several levels. The road on which the hotel sits is very steep and you may want to use a taxi both to and from the hotel. The taxis cost between 60 pesos and 80 pesos depending on the time of day. We stayed in the King Suite which was very spacious and made our 10 day trip a pleasure. Gloria will prepare you a wonderful breakfast of your choosing but you will need to know some Spanish or have your translator handy as she speaks only Spanish. She works seven days a week, not only preparing the morning breakfasts for guests but also does the wash and cleans the rooms which are spotless. Please be generous with her and the rest of the staff at the conclusion of your stay.

A couple of improvements: 1.) More hangers in the room, 2.) Have a breakfast menu in both English and Spanish so the guest can better communicate with Gloria. 3.) Have an English version of the room booklet. 4.) Provide the guests with an emergency contact number to get into the hotel if no one answers the buzzer.

What a beautiful boutique hotel. The surroundings are tastefully decorated and very clean. It was quiet, and the rooftop terrace offered a beautiful sunset view over the city. A delicious breakfast was included in the price. The bed was comfy, and I loved the bathtub. The host and staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay here - a beautiful hotel to compliment a beautiful town.

Nothing. It is a steep uphill walk from el centro to the hotel. I don't mind walking, and I'm fairly fit, but luckily for those who are not in good shape, there are plenty of buses and taxis around.

The Sol y Luna is GORGEOUS, and the staff is really great, so friendly and so helpful. They serve an amazing breakfast every morning, and if you need to cook or keep anything in their fridge, you can. There are many tranquil and lovely seating areas in the compound that you can enjoy, along with your very spacious and comfortable suite of rooms. I always felt safe and well cared for there. Book the Sol y Luna without hesitation!

The internet could have been better, but it wasn't their fault. The manager was always on top of the internet company to improve the service, and it's likely that it's better now.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was responsive. The breakfast was good. The hotel has a stunning rooftop overlooking all of San Miguel which was great for sunset! Comfortable beds and decor made it feel like a true Mexican home.

The location of the hotel is at the top of the hill overlooking San Miguel, which is great for the views but can be difficult to reach if you are in poor physical condition. The city center is reachable within a few minutes as you walk downhill, yet the walk back can be challenging!

Wonderful suite; very comfortable. Entire B&B was unique in its hacienda design; perfect! Great Cooked-to-order breakfasts. Staff was very accommodating. Roof-top view was fantastic. Great value.

TV needed to be in the sitting area (rather than on the far side of the bed). Location was only accessible by taxi (due to the steep roadway). Some street noise (but very tolerable). Towels were a bit worn and ragged.

This is a large, beautiful, clean property in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. The rooftop terrace views are the best in the city. Breakfast is freshly prepared every day with several delicious choices. There are three little family tiendas and an excellent Italian food restaurant within east walking distance.

There are a fair number of stairs in the property and the street is on a hill. Not ideal for people with disabilities.

Breakfast was very good, dining room was very nice. I had a king size room, which was large with a living room, with a leather sofa, fireplace and a small dining room. My king size bed was on a raised area two steps above the living room. Bathroom was nice size, shower was perfect. The room had a balcony with a small table and two chairs. Perfect for coffee in the morning. There is a terrace where one can enjoy beautiful sunsets over SMA. Overall, the Bed and Breakfast is very charming. The hotel is a very good value for the price.

The hotel is at the top of three rather large hills from the Jardin at the center of town. It was very easy to hail a taxi in town to return which cost 70 pesos, $3.50 dollars. I walked up once, once is enough, but took a taxi for all other returns. I walked down in the morning, stayed in town all day and took a taxi up in the evening. The walk down is significant, but doable. Not recommended for those with issues with walking. In San Miguel one needs good walking shoes. Same goes for the walk down. This Bed and Breakfast was nice, but I probably would find something on level ground when I return.

The staff, led by Fernando, was very accommodating. We had a misunderstanding with the number of people staying in the room (a last minute change on my part) and, he was able to help us. Breakfast was delicious and varied. The view from the terrace is spectacular

The place is quite a steep uphill hike from downtown. You have to be in decent shape to make it up. We did it once, then took a cab the rest of the time for 70 pesos (about 3 dollars) a ride. The plus side is the spectacular view. Going downhill is not a problem
