We really loved the charm of the mansion with a nice garden and the excellent service provided by Martin and Augustin! They did everything they could to help us and make our stay the very best. The mansion is very well located, at only 10 min walk from Frida Kahlo house. We felt very safe.

When I booked the hotel, I thought the swimming pool was accessible to every guest. I realized afterwards that it was exclusively for the guests who booked the suite that includes the pool. It is a pity since it wasn't clearly written in the booking description.

once you entered the wide bronze gate after 10 minutes of bumpy cobble stone pavement, i was brought back to the 1920s jazz era dancing with Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, only on the premises of the cayoacan area within mexico city. Can you imagine dining on the green pasture under the sunlight with white peacock roaming and docile golden retriever Yeru laying next to your feet ? Can you imagine being greeted and asked to choose the scent of your handmade artisan soap for your stay? If this is not indeed the side of paradise, i don’t know what else to tell you.

hot water took a while to kick in but hey, it’s an old property and there are amenities just not going to be up to the modern standards. just be patient.

What an outstanding place! From the moment we drove up we were blown away. What a magical place in the heart of Coyoacan. The staff were incredible and so welcoming. We loved the atmosphere. We didn't feel like we were in a city at all. The house is beautiful. We liked exploring the library and the pool bar. The garden is stunning. Our room was spacious and we felt like we were staying in Downton Abbey! The bed was so comfy and the giant TV with Netflix was just what we needed. Breakfast in the garden was delightful with the peacocks roaming around us. The location is perfect for exploring Coyoacan too. We only stayed for a night but we will definitely be back. What a hidden treasure!

The mansion made us feel like we were royalty with its romantic surroundings and great attention to details. There were inviting common areas both indoors and outdoors. Quiet location in the heart of Coyoacan. Comfortable bed. Breakfast in the beautiful garden accompanied by peacocks. Helpful and accommodating staff.

Unstable WiFi in the room (Fast and reliable in the garden and common areas). No one answered the doorbell when we arrived, so we had to call someone to be let it.

Arriving at Mansion Papilio is like stepping into a beautiful version of the Great Gatsby. a historical paradise - beautiful inside as well as outside. Eating breakfast in the garden with peacocks walking around and live music on guitar with singing brought tears of joy to my eyes. The staff went out of their way to help me. It’s a pleasent adventure to stay at the Mansion Papilion.

The property is elegant while it at the same time exemplifies the stark contrast between cookie cutter luxury and personalized attention to detail and personal creativity and expression of individuality often not found in an industry where the safest bet is Uniformity

This place is a solid 12/10. We felt like we stayed in a castle. The staff was excellent, the room was fairly large and overlooked the garden, the design was on point and every corner looked like another awesome Instagram shot. We had breakfast in the garden with no other guests around, but instead we were accompanied by a white peacock. How much better does it get... By far the best accommodation during our entire 5 week Mexico holiday.

We only stayed one night and I really regret not staying at least three.

Magical! Peacocks and a cat wearing pearls, kind staff, fresh OJ, Billie Holiday drifting through the candlelit garden…absolutely beautiful and unique property.

We were sometimes a little confused about how things worked (there is no front desk, no written information about breakfast or room service) but it really wasn’t a problem. This place is very special.

This place is magical, super quiet and situated in the heart of Coyoacán. Breakfast is served in the garden with peacocks roaming around. Truly outstanding. Since it's a hundred years old mansion there's some construction going on during the day but it didn't bother us much. The owners and staff are super friendly and can give you advice on things to do during your stay. Highly recommend.

I have been for a third time here nd this villa is always great. One of the most romantic hotels in town with a beautiful garden, spacious rooms, comfy beds und a greet breakfast. I give it 10 points again. There are parkings inside the hotel ground and the best restaurantss and food stands of Coyoacan are just around the corner though it is very quite inside the garden and hotel.

The coffee is the only thing I disliked - for the rest perfect.
