Holiday Inn Mexico City-Plaza Universidad, an IHG Hotel

Everything! Very comfortable room. Staff were the friendliest we have ever experienced. The restaurant staff even remembered how I take my coffee after the first morning and my coffee preference is very complicated. The location was good because it was right around the corner from our son’s apartment. From now on we will stay at this hotel every time we come to visit him.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

The hotel is a little dated, but it's very well maintained. The rooms are quite good, and very clean. Breakfast is very good, and overall it was a nice stay. Walking distance to Plaza Universidad so there is a lot of stuff to do around without your car. Parking is paid at 100mxn per day.

One of the entrances to the parking lot is closed, so you have to do a lot of turns to be able to arrive to the hotel, they claim is because of COVID but I don't see why you need to close a parking entrance and make guests try to find a entrance on a one way street.

The charge they quoted at checkin seems expensive. the shower drain was pretty slow. the cell phones didn’t seem to work for some of our calls so we had to use the hotel phone at the front desk.There was a full length mirror blocking part of the hallway from the bedroom to the bathroom.

Location is unbeatable. Practically next door to a big Mall with Stores, multiplex etc. And close to the Subway. Breakfast was good (although we didn't try the Buffet)

Upon arrival, we were told the category of room we chose, was not available.... (why did we reserve in the 1st place?) This was annoying having to wait after a 12 hour flight, but they Upgraded us to a Junior Suite and this was really good.

This was may second visit to this hotel. I like it and is my favorite choise when i need to go to Mexico City . I will be back in the future .

The only issue, but i imagine its not a failure of the hotel is that there was a high volume music noise due to a party or a pub or bar in front of the hotel

The only improvement point is the parking lot. Every time you need to leave the hotel, it's necessary to go to the front desk to clear the parking ticket. This can be pretty annoying. Out of this, everything was very nice!

One evening there was a sound above our room that it sounded like being in a bowling alley, once I told the front desk it stopped.

The friendly staff made a difference. The entire hotel was clean.

Understanding the air conditioner controler. I thought i was converting the Celsius to Fahrenheit correctly but i wasn't.

everything was fine for the moment, I congratulate the maids for their honesty, I forgot a suit and several things inside the suitcase and everything was returned to me.

The valet service.

Extremely clean,the staff nice and courteous. The dining room clean and the food is very good and healthy,if you wanna eat before you go out and keep it on a clean and healthy side.
