Hotel Cazomalli Oaxaca

This property is in a great location. There are ample shops and restaurants within a few block radius, and walking to the true center of the city takes only ten minutes. The hotel also had a very cute look on the interior with lots of greenery and an authentic Mexican feel. the beds were decent and the fan/AC worked well.

I arrived to Oaxaca at around 6/7pm due to traffic and flight delays. When I arrived, the front desk door was closed and locked and there was no indication of how to get into the hotel. I knocked on the glass door through the metal gate and luckily a sweet older lady had heard me and opened a door a few feet away from the reception entrance. I had informed the hotel of my late check in time prior to arriving, so it would have been nice to have clearer instructions. they also informed me on my third day that they would prefer cash payment, which I could not do. Again, I just wish I had been told earlier so I could prepare. I paid with my card in the end and ended up getting charged twice because their WiFi signal at the reception desk is not great.

Excellent location, clean and comfortable room. The rooftop was a great place to relax and enjoy the view.

The bell and phone for hotel rang throughout the hotel and interrupted our sleep when it occurred. The water dispenser was mostly empty out of our 13 days there, so had to regularly purchase bottled water.

Loved the family who owns the place, the neighborhood is lovely, the housekeeping is outstanding. There's a rooftop with an amazing plant collection where you can hang out.

Because the building is organized around a courtyard, the sound bounces. Oaxaca is a loud city to begin with, so please don't expect extra quiet nights.

The staff was friendly, the lobby and terrace was exceptional. the location was great at walking distance from the city center

The toilet’s pressure was low so it was hard to flush properly. the shower’s pressure was also low. there wasn’t much isolation in the room you could hear everything going on in the streets and also in the bathroom from the room

nice property across from the beach. shops and restaurants right there. the 2 pools were nice to cool off in as the ocean had swells too large for swimming but fun to watch the surfers. food was very good.

The hotel is really charming, very clean and in a lovely area.

We had two really noisy nights due to some local customs that the hotel cannot do much about (a 11pm mass with microphones and a birthday with mariachis under our window at 00:00).

Nice location in a hip neighborhood with shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Beautiful upper terrace to relax. Furnishings were authentic, bright and colorful. staff was friendly and helpful. Very clean. We became regulars at the pastry and breakfast (dinner too) up the street.

I loved the neighborhood and all of the hotel decorations!! The owners and front desk person were so kind and went out of their way to create an incredible visit. I got a call from them telling me about this awesome festival celebration, señor de tepeaca, and it was one of the highlights of my whole 4 week Mexico trip!!! Highly recommend this place ♥️

The staff were very friendly and helped us get around. The room was comfortable, with a fan. The terrace was a great place to unwind.

It was difficult to understand when the reception was actually open - we had difficulty reaching someone at times. The decor in the rooms was a little outdated. There are no eating or drinking facilities.

Beautiful rooftop terrace and property- in a great spot. Our room was huge-2 rooms with 2 beds in each and plenty of floorspace. A family-run establishment-lovingly cared for and very clean

Having only one available key was rough since I was traveling with my younger kids who wanted to stay out much later-so they had to call me at 3am and I had to go downstairs to let them into the hotel, then into the room. The water pressure wasn't fabulous-but it was hot!
