One Oaxaca Centro

The hotel was a great value; modern; centrally located; helpful and courteous staff; premises clean and in excellent condition; fabulous breakfast; two blocks from a large mercado; and a superb and friendly little restaurant, Voragine, across the street. Plus, well thought out to save electricity and not needlessly overheat water. I didn't need a historic building or a swimming pool. I needed an insulated building with good air conditioning for Oaxaca's hottest month of the year. Mission accomplished!

The place has a good location. I repeat, good; not great. It is about 2km/1.25mi away from city center and it's most famous shopping markets. You might find its location fantastic if you are going to visit Jalatlaco (a very nice Colonial neighborhood outside the city center). Staff is very helpful. Hotel Manager is almost always on duty and is fantastic at her job. Totally committed to leading her team. Breakfast is included and is good (good, not great). If you stay here and eat the included breakfast, you will save some money.

Small bathrooms. Small beds. Small elevators. Rooms are super tiny. Good for short stays and couples. Not roomy enough for families.

Staff was very friendly, both at the reception and the cleaning staff. We really liked the garage, the possibility to wash and dry our clothes for free (very clean washing machine, just bring the washing powder), the work environment in the lobby and the free water / coffee / tea there!

Breakfast was very basic. It was sometimes a bit loud, depending on the neighbour guests. My parents had a room neighbour who watched TV every morning before 6:00.

I liked breakfast. The selection and quality was very good. The laundry was a good thing for me! The staff was all very helpful and friendly. The location was quite good- a good walk to the centre of the city. The room was quiet, bed was comfortable and the space was clean.

Really good value for money. It's a limited frills hotel, but the quality is good and the facilities that were on offer were good. Was great to have complimentary drinks and breakfast, and also handy to have laundry on site. Good, convenient location to centro and to ADO bus station. My family (myself and my 2 children aged 12 and 15) were really comfortable here.

The location of the place is excellent and the hotel is overall well maintained. A very good value for the money spent and the location is just great, not too close to downtown and its noisy streets but not to far that you will be in need of taxis either.

The breakfast could be a tad better in variety. The baked goods were often hard (giving the impression of being old), chilaquiles were served all the days I stayed in the hotel, which is a tad disappointing. And what really saddened me was the fact that, as there was no concierge, the staff was a bit useless (or unwilling to help) when it came to ask for recommendations about tours in the city pointing out to sad stand with business cards to get information about city attractions.

Location was excellent for us. We came to Oaxaca from the ADO bus station. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great typical Oaxacan and loved the fruit. A nice walk to the Zocalo. We would definitely stay here again

Bathroom was a bit small but didn’t bother us at all

It was included, so we found it great! The staff was pleasant and courteous, The food was buffet type, typical Mexican fare. Including black beans, eggs, Chilaquiles, Spaghetti, corn tortillas, Fruits, Cereals, Juice, Rice, Yogurt and Coffee.

The rooms were small, but I could understand that because the property is right in the center of town!

You need to walk about 15 minutes to plaza, it makes things a little difficult. If you need to go to your room whenever you want this hotel is not for you. Soundproofing is terrible. The wall between rooms are so thin that when the person next room push the wall I felt it because I was leaning the wall with my head and i am not exaggerating. Breakfast is very simple.

Big and confortable room. Very simple but everything is very functional. Ok breakfast. Great location a nice walk from city center and close to the murals and restaurants of Jalatlaco
