The room was small - as shown in the pictures - but very comfortable and always clean. The bathroom was actually a bit bigger than it seems on Booking, and had one of the best water pressures we found in Mexico. The staff was very solicitous and helped us more than once getting a taxi to go to more distant areas of the city (there were no ubers in Oaxaca in july 2022). We could go everywhere else by walking, great location.

There were several maintenance works going on while we there, which made it hard to enjoy the common areas - but nothing that made our stay uncomfortable.

Hotel Casa Santa Tomas is simple and bare bones, but it was comfortable, clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, surrounded by some of Oaxaca's best restaurants. It's a close stroll to the Zocalo and downtown, and just far enough not to be bothered by noise.

We could not figure out how to work the TV. Apparently you had to pay for a streaming service. There are some hazards for anyone with locomotion difficulties, such as steep and irregular stairs and an unexpected ledge crossing our bathroom doorway. However, this does not detract from the stay and is part of converted buildings in historic districts.

New facility. Good water pressure. Comfortable bed. Good AC. Central location. Friendly staff. Quiet (not sure if it's because there were only a few rooms occupied). Ample closet space.

Hot water took a long time to reach shower. Quite a waste of water. But Oaxaca is not having a drought like California.

Very new, modern and clean facilities and great location.

Windows open to hallway, no fresh air it gets stuffy inside. Not very soundproof, noisy at night. Room smallish + expensive die what you get.

this hotel is the gem for these money ! amazing stuff! very helpful and nice ! hotel is new and very calm ! but you are in a heart of Oaxaca just 1 block from the best restaurants ! i wanna thank a hotel for hospitality! amazing experience! highly recommended!

i liked everything

Super friendly staff who helped us organize our next trip from Oaxaca to the beach. He also bought us tickets, so went in his free time to the ticket office. We didn't expect it, but we really appreciated the effort. We enjoyed a lot our accomodation!

Good to knof that warm water takes 5mins to come. A bit loud street noise and uncomfortable pillows.

Property is very new so, super spacious beds and the bathroom was very new and clean. The room isn’t huge but there’s a very clever closet on the TV stand.
