Quinta Margarita - Boho Chic Hotel

One of the highlights of our stay was the impeccable cleanliness throughout the entire hotel. The housekeeping team seemed to be working tirelessly to maintain the pristine condition of both the common areas and our room. We felt at ease knowing that they were taking every precaution to keep the environment safe and hygienic.

One minor downside was the noise from clubs located across the street. While being close to the vibrant nightlife of "La Quinta" was convenient, it resulted in some disturbances during the evenings. Light sleepers might want to consider this aspect before booking.

The rooms are designed in a charming boho-minimalistic style that struck a perfect balance between cozy and stylish. It was evident that the team had put thought into every element, creating a comfortable and inviting space that felt like a home away from home. One of the highlights was the zen garden on the property. We had the delightful chance to observe hummingbirds in this serene setting, which added a touch of enchantment to our stay. It's these small, lovely details that make a stay memorable and special but the best of this hotel is definitely its staff. They (Eli, Pam, Jorge) really go the extra mile to accomodate their guests' needs.

Situated just a block away from Quinta Avenida, the proximity to the bustling street resulted in consistently high noise levels during the night, regardless of the day of the week. The situation escalated particularly when the club across the street organized karaoke nights, making it the most challenging experience in terms of noise disturbance.

It's a fantastic location, within walking distance to everything in Playa—spacious rooms, friendly staff, and really clean apartments that are maintained every day. The aircon worked just great.

Evenings are super noisy, with no sound isolation as there are 2 bars across the street that can get super loud. If you are coming to Playa to party you will be fine but for people looking to relax and sleep well, you might consider this. Breakfast was rather limited but ok for the price.

loved the staff, very helpful and kind.The breakfast was good, I would have liked some black tea, only herbal was available. It would have been handy to have a kettle in the room. Pool area was excellent, beds were comfortable, showers good. when we arrived it smelled lovely and felt very Zen!

it was across from a bar/ nightclub that had extremely loud drumming and music solidly from 10pm until 3am every single night. the noise ruined our stay as we couldn’t possibly sleep even with earplugs ( should have been our first clue!) provided by the staff and pillows over our heads.

I appreciated the excellent service provided by the hotel staff throughout my stay. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I also liked the convenience of its location, being right on the beach line, and in the heart of Playa del Carmen.

The primary downside of my stay was the noise. Daytime construction and nighttime music from the nearby clubs created a significant noise level in the room. Although it didn't disturb my sleep, I could see it being a problem for lighter sleepers. The room's view, limited to the hotel's tree-filled lobby, was another minor drawback.

The location right off 5th avenue. The rooftop pool. The cold welcome beer when you arrive (needed after a 10 hour flight!) The room was lovely and tastefully decorated. The hotel in general was like a little paradise in the middle of the resort.

As others have alluded to, the club opposite is extremely loud until the early hours. Didn’t bother us too much as we were up late anyway most nights but I think it would be a deal breaker for most people. Very unfortunate as the hotel is great! Breakfast is very limited, just toast and croissants.

Staying at Quinta Margarita is always great, from start to end their staff are always willing to go the extra mile for you. Went to multiple activities before breakfast time and they were kind enough to leave the nigh before fresh fruits to go! Their rooms are superb, clean, well maintained and equipped, shown pictures of the hotel are 100% real. Hotel is super safe and has a convenient location to atractions around and in Playa. Definitely a place to come over and over!

Not hotel fault, though nowadays, a club is just across the hotel plays loud live music late at night. Consider that if you have a light sleep or get some earplugs to have a wonderful stay.

This is our second trip to the Quinta Margarita in the last 10 years. The staff were excellent. The hotel itself is very clean, thanks to the conscientious staff. Nothing goes undone. Loved Pamela and Lizzie, they are an asset to the hotel and its smooth operation. They were very helpful with a room change.

Unfortunately, since our last stay, a bar moved in across the street. This can make it rather noisy at night. Bring earplugs, they help.

The staff at the Quinta Margarita were absolutely phenomenal. We had great experiences with them re: booking transportation, assisting with local activities and making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were amazing and the property itself is super clean and well taken care of. I also liked that they had water coolers on each floor, which is super convenient.

As other reviews noted, there is a relatively new bar that is across the road that plays loud music most nights of the week until around 2 am. However, the staff moved our room and did their very best to make sure our stay was comfortable as possible. Our first night before we were moved was quite loud, however after being moved it was much more quiet and most nights we were so tired that it didn't bother us.

The staff was super helpful throughout the trip, our room was great, a nice breakfast (pastries, toast, fruit, juice) to start the morning off, security guard there all night. Location is perfect (avenues in PDC are only 1 block apart, even though they go by "5", so being on Av. 10 was great). Many things are walkable from the hotel, lots of good restaurants nearby.

This has been well documented - the bar across the street is loud at night. We knew that going in, and yes, it was true. Out of control for hotel, we bought earplugs and lived with it.
