HIT Merida Hotel Boutique

I stayed two weeks and the staff were the best part, always very nice and pleasant. If you don't speak Spanish their English is excellent, no worries. Facilities were very clean, daily cleaning service is very thorough. The WiFi was good, no breaks. Convenient location a few minutes' walk from the main plaza, with a few good restaurants in the immediate area as well. Drinking water is provided in the rooms and there's also a water dispenser in the lobby which was a very welcome touch. Comfortable king bed. New AC unit. Hot showers were reliable and had good water pressure. The terrace has seating and a lovely new mural. Would definitely stay again.

These aren't necessarily dislikes, just infos: As others mention the bathroom is indeed very narrow, your knees will touch the wall when you use the toilet. Window screens would be a good addition, and perhaps a few umbrellas for shade on the terrace. I slept through it but if you are sensitive to ambient noise while sleeping bring ear plugs, because there are bus stops on the street below and road construction is not limited to daylight hours here (after hours construction is common here so workers can beat the heat, not a complaint or the hotel's fault, just fyi).

It was my second year and I hope to return again. Staff is very friendly and it's good value for money. Free water and tea is much appreciated. Hope to book directly in future and avoid Booking.com's horrendous customer service!

The only thing that is not great is the toilet stack against the floor and bathroom layout. You have to do some yoga to sit on it. :-) Unfortunately there is not much one can do about it now. Hooks and bars for towels would be. nice.

The location was central and within walking distance of shopping and The Cathedral. Great price for bare-minimum accommodations. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking included Free coffee and water provided Good wi-fi

The bathroom is micro-mini. My knees touched the wall while sitting on the toilet. The hotel is located on a busy street and directly across the street from a bar. There was tons of street noise and noise from the drunk patrons in the wee hours of the morning. Highly suggest requesting a room towards the back of the hotel or bringing earplugs. The bed was very firm.

Excellent stay in a very comfortable hotel. We had everything we needed: a clean room, a large bed, a modern bathroom, A/C, fresh water fountain, a laundry service and a very welcoming staff. Location is close to the center, great for visiting the city. The large terrace was nice too. Right in front of the hotel there was an incredible restaurant / bar, it was so convenient to go eat or get a drink. Everything was perfect, 10/10 would recommend

THIS WAS A LOVELY SMALL HOTEL ONLY BLOCKS FROM THE MAIN SQUARE. IT WAS THE OWNER AND THERE STAFF THAT MADE IT FABULOUS. IT WAS IMMACULATELY CLEAN AND MY ROOM HAD EVERYTHING IN IT I NEEDED. THE STAFF WERE OUTSTANDING AND I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN IN HEARTBEAT. THEY FELT LIKE FAMILY.

IF SOME OF THE ROOMS HAD LITTLE FRIDGES IN THEM FOR LONG STAYS THAT WOULD BE GREAT BUT YOU CAN USE THERE BIG FRIDGE IN THE LOBBY.

The staff were extremely patient and helpful. The hotel itself is only 5 or 6 blocks from the main square and cathedral. About the same distance from the largest markets. Extremely walkable area ( Uber rides are ridiculously cheap).

No refrigerator or microwave. Bathroom was very small (widthwise). If you're tall you may have to sit side-saddle to use the toilet. No wash rags, so bring your own. No show-stoppers, just inconvenient.

Comfy bed. Good AC. Staff 24 hours.

The area is safe as in all areas in Merida. I just have trouble breathing this part of town because of the narrow streets and traffic congestion. This is no fault of the hotel. I'm just saying to keep in mind that the central area has a lot of stuff going on with construction and a lot of congestive traffic and if you have a hard time breathing then Centro is not the place for you.

The cleanliness and decor was impressive! The staff was EXTREMELY nice and accommodating. The location is absolutely perfect. It is near everything you need… food, transportation, entertainment…literally everything! The value for the stay was great. I will be staying again soon 😊.

There is no elevator but the the staff carried my luggage up and back down so that was fine.

Staff were very helpful, booking taxis, helping with luggage, providing information and sorting out problems. The rooms were very clean and free tea and coffee is available in the reception area. The reception has 24 hour staffing. The rooms are large.

The lights in the hallways shone through the internal windows making it difficult to sleep. There was a lot of noise in the public areas.

Lovely staff, very helpful. Clean place. Walkable to a lot of places. Comfortable stay.

This place is new and looks like parts of it are incomplete. E.g. the balcony area does not have any safety railings and has many tripping hazards. Hopefully this will get fixed soon. Like everyone else has said, the bathrooms are a tight fit. I was travelling solo so it was OK for me but I have no idea how some people may manage.
