The hotel is easy to find using the trams from Centraal, the transport links back into Centraal and many other local places were easy to navigate. We had contacted the hotel in advance to advise we would be arriving late at night, they were waiting us upon arrival. Although we didn't receive a QR code via email, staff were able to quickly rectify this and the QR code worked efficiently and without issue. The rooms are spacious, ours was set over two floors with a living area and patio doors upstairs and a sleeping area and bathroom downstairs. For the small amount of time we spend in the hotel, the internet was fast. Beds are comfortable, the area is quiet and no disturbances. Outside of the hotel there are lots of local bars and cafes, as well as a local shop selling snacks and drinks.

We had a big, bright suite on the 2nd floor. Contrary to Booking.com’s recommendation, the suite was large enough for our family of 4, with a big main room and a smaller side room with a trundle bed for our two children. Luckily we were able to cancel our reservation for the second room. Super helpful & friendly staff. We weren’t in the main tourist section but we were a 10-15 minute ride away on the tram and subway. Right across the street from the zoo in a lovely green neighborhood near the university. Breakfast next door was lovely.

Very nice hotel with good location. There is no front desk, but if you need smth you can call and staff will help you. Very clean room, good shower, bathrobe and slippers are available. in the corner of the street there is cozy place to have breakfast. But you need to make reservation. You can access the hotel and the room only with qr code on your mobile. keep in mind to have your mobile charged.

I lived in studio, the bed is very soft, but because of the fact, that it consists from 2 separate beds, when you sleep you are rolling down to the center of the bed. In this case it was not comfortable to sleep for two persons.

Had a wonderful stay in De Jonker! We stayed in the top floor, Room 23 in the loft, and absolutely loved the design and cool vibes. The room was well kitted out with kitchenette and separate toilet and shower room with nice views of the zoo across the road. The staff were very friendly on check-in and the mini Easter eggs in the room was a lovely touch! QR code is very convenient and the location is an easy tram ride into the city centre. Would definitely stay here again!

The only downside to the stay was the pillows not being very comfortable. However, the staff were very prompt in giving us extra ones when requested.

great location! we stayed in the studio apartment which was great value, it was so cosy, spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful when we arrived as we came to the hotel prior to check in time, in just so happened our room was ready too which was great as we only booked it the night before. overall the building is very nice, however, if you want to leave luggage after check out you may have to get a 20 minute tram to the sister hotel. This was a bit of a pain but it’s because there’s not always someone at reception to help. they do leave you a phone number to call if you need anything though :)

The property was in a great location, it’s a 10 minute tram journey to Amsterdam Central and very close to other tourist spots like the Van Gogh museum. The hotel itself was nice and clean, the room was a decent size to accommodate our 5 day stay.

The only thing I disliked about the property was that the mattress on our double bed wasn’t a double mattress. I don’t even think it was two single mattresses, they were more like back pieces of a couch which had been used so much that they had a large indentation in the middle that caused us to roll into the middle every night, which wasn’t comfortable at all.

15 min walk to the city centre. Very quiet place, with a lot of near places for breakfast. In the room you will have everything that you might need for your stay. Nice view from the window and the apartment is very stylish with high ceiling. 9/10

We had large bed, but it were two bends folded together so when you lie down in the centre, you kinda sink into that gap. Coffee machine was broken. But i still would recommend it for everyone, other amenities cowers up the flaws.

I don't select breakfast. The location to approach via tram from Central Amsterdam Station is very good although it take some time. The hotel is located at a quiet location. Albert Heijn supermarket is the nearest supermarket which is also at a long walk .

The information given on email regarding approach to Artis from Central station Amsterdam to hotel by tram # was not updated . I have to find the tram # from tram drivers with difficulty as there was rain also . You can imagine that with luggage how it was difficult to roam around during rain .

The place was fabulous! Spacious, really clean. Comfortable beds, great kitchen area. Good value for money. 24/7 reception staff were absolutely lovely, so helpful. Fab location, right opposite the zoo. We walked everywhere, but if you want to get a tram, the number 14 stops one minute's walk from the door and takes you right into the centre in no time. You can take the number 14 all the way to the Central Train Station and change there for a direct train to the airport too. Highly recommended and hope to stay again!

Nothing, we liked everything!

The hotel is situated in a lovely quiet area just a stones throw away from the centre. Catching the number 14 tram was quick and easy from Amsterdam Central and so very easy to travel with our luggage but we chose to walk the 20 minutes into the centre most nights as it was a pleasant and picturesque walk and very straightforward. Taking the tram into town takes only 10 minutes or so and they are very regular if you don’t want to take a stroll. The staff were always very welcoming, friendly and happy and were quick to help with anything you needed. It felt like a little home from home for the duration we were there and the room was comfortable and clean and had everything you needed to get by. The hotel had a very chilled and cosy vibe and it was nice and quiet. Slept very well in the bed and although we didn’t manage to get twin beds in the end we didn’t mind at all as the double was huge. We will definitely visit again if staying in Amsterdam!
