Close to the center, comfy beds, very nice staff, good location with plenty of amenities nearby

No AC (room was very hot on the first night), there were fans but no extension chords (had to buy one myself), and the room was at street level, so it could get pretty loud at night with all the drunks passing by... :D

Great option for families. This apartment-style hotel was perfect for our family of 4 (kids 10 & &7). The loft area was awesome to have. Kids loved having their own space for play and to sleep (as did we). Having 1.5 baths was nice as well. Room was very bright and had plenty of space, even when our friends came over (family of 5) we never felt cramped. Location makes it super easy to take any mode of transportation. Nearby bus(in front), train and tram stops. Also have the option to rent bikes and ride like 80% of the locals (at least it felt that way). Free laundry was quite a nice surprise as long as you can time it right and catch when available (recommend the morning). Employees were extremely welcoming and helpful in providing information/guidance to our questions. Though not centrally located, it is very easy and quick to get to central Amsterdam (10-20). Local cafe about 1 block away - Anne & Max', is recommended for either sit-down or take-away breakfast (didn't go for other meals).

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and beautiful room. The room was cozy and nicely designed; the loft style gave it the proper Amsterdam charm. And the kitchen was beneficial. We managed to have breakfasts and dinners there, buying groceries at the 5 min walk from the supermarket. The location is excellent, the area is pretty chill and quiet, but everything is in walking proximity, and if you need to go further, there are bus and tram stops nearby.

The environment is not very accessible: the elevator works, but it works veeeeery slowly and is noisy. We had a room upstairs, and it had beams that were good-looking, but they created thresholds on the floor that we always tripped on pretty painfully.

We needed an apartment style property as we were a small hen party. We took two, one for two people and one for three. Both were well designed and fitted our purpose well for a short trip. They had everything you needed, including coffee machine, stove, kettle, cutlery etc. The smaller one was nicer as it was high up and sky lights that opened. The decor is nice, modern and in good order.

Only downsides were the apartment was very hot, as the windows could only open a little high up and this made the bathroom extremely wet and stuffy. This wasn't helped by the 30 degree temperatures outside! The other thing is the location is quite a way from everywhere and takes about 30 minutes to walk to the center or Central station. We didn't mind as we like walking but if you don't it could be a problem.

The room was pretty comfortable and clean. Well equiped kitchen, big enough table for 4 people. Comfy bed and sofa (it was perfect for our 2 kids). Good Wifi. Staff were very kind, always available and willing to help. Location was perfect for us, as it is a quiet place, well communicated by trams and buses.

Not a big deal but to name some things that could be improved: there is not too much capacity to store clothes in the wardrobes (there were 4 of us), and the Bathroom is a bit small and water can get easily out from the shower place.

We booked two duplex suites for four couples (8 people) and it was perfect! The room was very spacious, each couple had their own toilet, and there was one bath & one shower in the room so we had our own space. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans, microwave/oven, dishwasher etc which was great as we were able to save money by making a couple of meals. We had both rooms next to each other as requested which was really nice as we were a group. The suite would be perfect for a family as well. The location was great as there are buses & trams right outside the hotel or 25 mins walk to the center, so really easy to get to places but not too loud. There was also a few grocery shops and cafes less than 5 min walk away. The staff were all super friendly & helpful and it was nice that there were some fresh pastries and coffee/tea in the lobby every day!

It would've been nice to have someone come in to clean our rooms every day.

It's our second time staying at this hotel. The location is fantastic - close enough to the city center, but not too close that it's too busy; the staff is always friendly and helpful and the apartment is perfect for a family with kids. The kitchenette is good to make breakfast and other simple meals. There are bus stops and tram stops close by.

The way the shower is set up, it makes a mess anytime anyone uses it. Water splashes everywhere. They did add a squeegee in the bathroom to help with the clean up. We also found the floors in the bedroom a little too dusty. We had to borrow a vacuum from the front desk at one point to make it more comfortable to walk around the room without shoes on.

A great sized room with sink, fridge, cooking hob, ironing board/iron. Loved how light the apartment was, with small windows but two Velux in the ceiling/roof (with electronic opening/closing). I liked the way the beams had been incorporated into the room. Bed was large and comfortable. The fridge was a good size and very useful. Great shower, with plenty of hot water Staff: Very friendly and helpful Location was not in the heart of Amsterdam, but the tram system was very frequent and reliable (download the GVB app. better than sitting in traffic. Breakfast: I bought items from a couple of nearby supermarkets OR ate at 'Spirit' (Open 8am Monday to Saturday and 9am on Sunday - a little expensive) which is out of Yays, turn left and walk about 60m (Access to supermarket from Spirit)

The location is away from the active city centre (but recommend the GVB tram system is 1st class - download their app) For me, the pillows were too soft and no option. No where for washed/wet crockery/cutlery to stack to dry

Very comfortable room with everything you could need for a short break. Lovely friendly staff on the front desk. Special mention goes to Tyler who took the time to have a chat with us. Although a good 25 minute walk from the centre, there are a number of restaurants and bars nearby to go to in the evening if you don't want to venture far. Although we walked everywhere, there is tram and bus stop close by.

Very, very slow and noisy lift (we were warned by reception!) Once used, you won't use it again! We had a high room out the front (which to be fair I asked for). However, you can hear the traffic. This didn't spoil our stay but if you want a quieter room, then maybe a room at the back might be better.

The room was well laid out for an efficiency stay. The front desk was always staffed and the staff was very welcoming and cordial. There was convenient access to both a bus and tram stop that allowed us to explore the city. The in-room kitchen was stocked with cutlery, plates, bowls, glasses and cups as well as helpful cooking utensils and basic pots and pans. The coffee maker, hot water kettle, refrigerator, microwave and stovetop cooking surface were clean and worked. There was coffee and tea and sugar provided in the room. While there was no daily maid service, the room was attended to and refreshed on Saturday and anytime we needed additional paper products, it was available from the front desk.

There was some remodeling construction of the front lobby during our stay - the flooring was removed and new flooring was installed. The staff notified us of the planned disruption on Monday evening and that it would last 2 days - they even gave us a lovely local chocolate bar to apologize for the inconvenience. The workers were quiet and the only real inconvenience was that we had to avoid using the main lobby and walk around the building to a back entrance. Seems to have been a one time inconvenience during remodeling and would not impact our decision to use the YAYA Maritime in the future.
