Hotel Victorie

We loved that this hotel was in a residential area away from the city center, because we don't like constant noise and crowds. Fortunately, public transportation was super close (the 12 or the 4 will take you to the city center). There were also good restaurants and coffeeshops (and a market) all within a few blocks. The room was spacious and had a balcony that overlooked a lovely garden.

I had read other reviews about the shower getting water all over the floor, and it's true. There's no shower door for half the shower. However, I learned to take a shower with the smaller shower head and turn off the water while soaping up.

Nice easy location. Clean room. Easy check in and out. Excellent customer service. Great location for transport into central. Nice choice of continental breakfast and easy access to supermarket. Clean. Reception were keen to give you advise of locations, transport locations or bike hire if asked.

2 parties of 4. 1 room had a balcony and fridge the other room didn't. Wasn't explained why this option was given to one couple and not the other. Staff at breakfast were great and helpful until last day and there weren't as much breakfast choice and when asked why they didn't have any was advised there weren't any. The stairs between floors are extremely steep. Nowhere to hang anyhing up in bathroom. No coffee in room or milk. No outside balcony light to sit out in the evening.

Great location and good value. Staff were very helpful and nice. Allowed late check out (€10 per hour after 11am) Close to nice cafes and restaurants. Didn’t eat the breakfast because I am vegan and it wasn’t suitable but the local Albert Heijn had things I could store in the fridge in my room.

Myself and my friend stayed in separate rooms but we both needed some earbuds for the noise and some extra blankets because the bed covers are very thin for winter in Amsterdam. I couldn’t lock my door from the inside at night —Didn’t love that as a female traveller.

The staff were helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was good value for money and one fewer stress when travelling with a brood of kids. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There was plenty of information available to give our teens inspiration for exploring the city.

The ensuite was a little tight, it was a bit of a squeeze getting past the sink, and the landings were too tight for an open buggy, but we were able to manage nonetheless.

Everything was good, perfect location, comfy beds, Wi-Fi

The bathroom was so narrow and uncomfortable that there was no space to get undressed/dressed without touching the sink or the wall.

I wasn't expecting much. For the price I paid, I was only able to get a shared room with lots of people in a hostel close by the city centre, but this hotel really surprised me. The staff is super friendly, they helped us with everything we asked. The breakfast is a continental breakfast, but it's okay to start your morning. The tram is only few minutes away and takes about 20 min to get to the main train station. Beds are small, but if I compare it with the other places I have stayed before in Amsterdam, they were amazing and the room for 3 people was big enough.

Bathroom was a bit tight, so if you are a big person, I wouldn't recommend it.

Came here with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed our stay here. I'm usually not the best sleeper but the bed was really comfortable and I slept so well. Everything was in great condition and very modern, along with a balcony which we loved! :)

The shower was a bit leaky so we had to put a towel under the shower door but it wasn't too bad :) I would suggest leaving a few wee containers of milk for the tea station.

Room is bigger than we thought from looking at the photos. Staffs are friendly. Location is brilliant, several tram line and buses, also close to 2 train stations and easy walk to de pijp. Shower pressure and temperature is good. Fridge and water boiler in the room. Breakfast is okay but expected. Neighborhood is nice and calm for sleeping.

As previous reviews said, shower glass is not placed very smart and will splash outside of shower.

The room was really spacious and sunny!! The cleaning service came by every day so the room was pretty clean throughout our whole stay. Also staff was very kind!! It's a bit far from the center but there is tram lines outside the hotel if you don't like to walk. I will definitely recommend it!!!

The only problem (if it can been seen like it) was that there were water on the bathroom floor after we shower. But since there is cleaning service every day that was not a big issue for us.
