Friendly and helpful reception staff, available 24/7. Great location, 10 minutes walk to Heineken experience, 15 mins to Leidseplein and 2 mins to tram stop which is about 10 mins from dam square. Also a 10 minute walk to get the tram to Ajax stadium. Seemed to be cheaper than most other places while still in a central location. Room cleaned daily and stayed for 3 nights. Basic room but still nice and perfect for a short stay.

Staff were nice and when I had problems with one of the lights in my room they changed my room without any fuss. Great location, a bit far from the station and the touristy places but this is what I liked! Close to the biggest park and museums. Good value for money. (Accommodation in Amsterdam is expensive (and I come from London :)) Overall will recommend!

No soap in the bathroom :) had to use the shower gel!

Bilal on the front desk was great and super helpful. The location is central enough, only a few stops to Damrak and Amsterdam Central on the tram and metro, and also RAI if you have work there. I would recommend taking trams if you can, they seem cheaper and you can just swipe your credit card in and out. Don't make the mistake I made, which was to buy a chip card at the Metro machine which was crazily overpriced just for an empty (reusable) card which you need to top up after 1 hour or 24 hours. I didn't know until my last day at Ibis that the hotel was just next to the Albert Cuyp market which has amazing poofrtjes, herring sandwiches, famous stroopwaffels, cheap cheese, souvenirs, and all sorts!! There are also at least two supermarkets nearby. I spent some 4 hours at the market shopping and eating, before rushing to my booked time slot at the Rijksmuseum just down the road. If you like Indian food or are vegetarian, Ibis is right next to one of the best vegetarian Indian restaurant chains on the planet. I would definitely stay here again if I ever had to return to this country in future.

The only thing is that the shower is super small and I am a petite 5"1 Asian. There were also a few steps at the entrance so take care if you have to carry heavy luggage. The neighbourhood is a bit dark and quiet at night, so if you are a solo female traveller like I was, make sure you know your way or that your data/google maps is always working. Hotels in Amsterdam dont seem to provide bottled water except for the first day so best to bring your own reusable bottle, the tap water is drinkable, so saves your euros on mineral water.

I loved the facilities, clean every day, nice breakfast. Nice and welcoming staff.

A little bit far from the center but still has closer metro, the stairs was tiny and the elevator was not working but eventually they fix it so i could go with my luggage from 3 floor to the lobby

We were upgraded for free to a large double room although it was on the third floor and the lift was out of order, but it was repaired on the second day. Great location just out of the town centre with a cosy little bar around the corner and a great market with lots of street food options.

We were encouraged to take the upgrade on the third floor over our original room on the second after being told the third floor has a better view. Out of our window we couldn't see much more than a car in a canal and a large building on the other side of the canal. Maybe the 4th floor can see over it!

The location is exceptional as it is so convenient and close to the tram and major neighborhoods in Amsterdam. The staff working there were extremely helpful and kind and were very easy to talk to and helped with any questions I had. The room was spacious and well equipped and everything I could need for our trip.

Pillows were a bit hard and the stairs were kind of windy and would have been a pain if we had massive luggage to bring up since the lift wasn't working.

This was a great hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and nice. They offer to hold your bags if you arrive early, but we got lucky, and our room was ready. It's close to a lot of things (Museums, Parks, Rembrandt Square, Albert Cuyp Market, Heineken Experience etc.) Plus, both the tram and the metro are super close too. There is laundry right around the corner and the supermarket is maybe a 5 min walk.

The only complaint I have is that the beds were a little hard for my liking but that doesn't mean others won't find them comfortable!

The hotel was easy to be found, it is in a good area, close to Rijk Museum.All the staff was very friendly, especialy the front desk, we got all the information that we need it to explore Amsterdam! My request was complited, my friend was very happy about the surprise what the front desk prepared. Thank you so much for all the staff who contributed! The room was very cosy, clean and warm! the bed was confortable ! Amsterdam is a very beautiful and interesting Capital ! Love it! Definetly I am gonna come back , and definetly I am gonna stay again at this hotel!

Nothing to not like! Everything was fine!

It was in such a great location - opposite one of the many canals. Far enough out of the centre of town to be quiet but close enough to enjoy the walk in. There is a market around the corner that runs 6 days a week - not Sundays. In the outer suburbs Sunday is very quiet! There is a wide variety of eating options and bars available. Close to a number of tram lines. Very close to the Heineken experience. If you have the energy, time and curiosity, you can walk to the Anne Frank Museum (must book in advance) and the city centre. These both entail unforgettable walks along the canals and beautiful scenery along the way to your destination. About 30 minutes to each. The staff on reception were very courteous and helpful. Whilst waiting for a taxi they would offer my husband and I a coffee or tea. My husband said it was the best Latte he had had for a long time! Such thoughtful service! Thank you. Room was serviced each day therefore very clean. Location is fantastic. Cannot fault.

The rooms were cosy but this would not deter me from booking here again. There is also a small set of stairs to climb from the street to the reception.

The room was clean, quiet and great for what we needed. Bed was super comfy and the bathroom was spacious. A/C was super cold! The staff were all really wonderful and very accommodating for our visit. Construction caused an issue with getting there from the tram but not the staff's fault. We paid for breakfast on 2 of the days and it was delicious. Water/juice/milk provided along with an assortment of hot & cold options and various breads/pastries. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay at other Ibis hotels. The staff was really wonderful and very professional and delightful!

We didn't have anything to complain about.
