Beautiful, traditional Dutch canal house on the Southern Canal Ring in a peaceful location, yet easily walkable to all parts of the city. Thijs was really nice and helpful, even athletically carrying our case to the top floor where the room is as there is of course no lift and also allowing us to leave our luggage in the hall a little later after check out which worked best for us with our Eurostar back to London. We had a really enjoyable 3 nights / 4 days in Amsterdam, first time for me.

We feel that the room was a bit overpriced considering this did not offer breakfast (which we were aware of and there is a nice little bagel / coffee shop close by which we went to for breakfast), but we realise like London, where we are from, that Amsterdam is an expensive city. This stay equated to about GBP 200 per night over 3 nights. There was a bit of confusion when we arrived as we thought we were getting another higher grade room for the same price which had a terrace overlooking the canal from the photos on Booking.com so were not expecting the garden room, as lovely as it was, but with no balcony access, but Thijs explained this was an error with Booking.com, so this was a slight disappointment.

It in an ideal location - nestled in a quiet canal street, but only a 10 min walk to the Central Station and Rjiksmuseum. It's in a beautiful, historic building but the room is modern, warm (important in March!) and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the skylight windows overlooking the garden, the comfortable bed and heated floor in the bathroom! Thijs (our host) was super helpful - especially because we had an inconveniently late arrival time, and check-out time - and he shared an amazing list of places to visit/ restaurants/cafes etc. The complimentary drinks were very welcome too.

It was fine for us, but other visitors should note the number of stairs to get to the apartment - it is right at the top! You'd struggle with a lot of bags or if you had mobility issues. And - and this is very minor - there was nowhere to hang our bathroom towels to dry

A nice comfortable, welcoming room with nearly all creature comforts. Lovely comfortable bed. Aircon was fitted but not needed. Big velux windows made it easy to vent and air the room. Even in heavy rain. Lovely quiet and peaceful accommodation. Generous to leave beer and wine in the room.... although we didn't manage to drink the wine!!

A shelf in the bathroom would have been useful. We found we were placing things around the sink edge. The water from the shower does make the bathroom floor wet, despite trying not to. No spoons in the room, so although you have tea and coffee facilities, you can't retrieve a teabag. It is quite a climb up to the top floor! Just nit picking as this is nice accommodation in a beautiful building.

This property is stunning, great location within Amsterdam. Thijs met us at the door and helped us up the many flights of stairs with our 30kg bags (legend). The room itself was so comfortable, spotless and the views out to the garden were gorgeous. Complimentary drinks were a nice touch. Thijs sent us a very detailed guide for some of his suggestions around the area, giving a great insight to what we might want to check out during our stay. The building is grand and beautiful, right by a canal. Truly the best place we have stayed at in Amsterdam.

The place was incredible! close to all the cool spots and public transportation, super clean, had an amazing view, and we had everything we needed in it including drinks! The staff was super sweet, helped us with everything we needed and was super polite :) thank you so much for everything!

We loved everything, it’s just that the apartment is on a quite high floor (3rd or 4th if i’m not mistaken) and they only have stairs- there’s no elevator! so it was a bit hard for me to walk up and down the stairs every time (especially with the suitcases). I think that it should be taken into consideration but apart from that it was perfect and we loved the place :)

Roseanne and her husband were fantastic hosts, they really made my wife's 30th birthday extra special. Not only with the exceptional and unique accommodation in a central location, but with recommending places to eat and visit during our stay. From the very comfortable bed to the modern room design, this was the nicest place we have stayed by far. It's the little touches like fresh flowers, complimentary drinks in the mini fridge, and bath robes that make it stand out from hotel chains. Especially how the place was spotless, their cleaner is definitely one of the best! I read from previous reviews to watch out for the steps, which was good to know, and in our opinion, it only added to the authentic Amsterdam feel. Worth every penny, we will most certainly be looking to visit again!

Lovely stay, within a quiet location but only two streets away from Rembrandtplein's busy square and nightlife scene. The room was cosy and had a lovely relaxing wind down after busy days exploring. Late check-out upon request which was amazing for us! It allowed our last day to be much more enjoyable rather than having to cart our luggage around with us everywhere! Thank you so much!!

I only say these next points so that hopefully the owner can improve. One of the bedside light bulbs had broken so was inconvenient at night time. The room lighting was also an issue, the main two lights in the room were very dimly lit and should really be a lot brighter due to them being the main lights in room. Even with them on full (dimmer switch) it still felt dark. No housekeeping! This wasn't a major problem for a short stay but we weren't alerted to where we could take out our rubbish so we piled it up next to the small bin in the room. I can imagine that if you stayed here longer this would be an issue.

Roseanne was an amazing host! The room was beautiful - completely updated but still kept the charm with a beautiful view. There was wine, beer, water, tea and coffee in our room which was so nice. The location is amazing and walking distance to so many great places. I would definitely recommend this B&B and hope to return soon.

We liked everything - the only note to others is understanding that there are several levels of stairs to climb - this was not an issue for us. And one recommendation, which is very small, would be to put the TV on a pivoting wall bracket so guests can view more easily :) But again this place is fabulous!

The hosts were so friendly, so welcoming and couldnt do enough for you. We met Rose, who took our number and told us to call or text at any time which was lovely. The room was stunning, so comfortble and I couldn't fault it. Fresh flowers in the vases, garden view was gorgeous, complimentary drinks in the mini fridge and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We absolutely loved everything about the room, and will definitely be returning here on our next visit to Amsterdam. Also, the location is fantastic, only a short walk to the central, but loads of bars, shops, cafes on the way.

Not necessarily a huge problem, but there are 6 flights of stairs to get to the room so after a long day of exploring the city, it can be a bit much.

The room is true to photos, high quality furnishings, extremely comfortable, nice extras, bright and more spacious than most Amsterdam rooms. We most loved the location, the area, in June, was parklike, with lots of greenery and flowers along the canals. It is quite and feels secluded but is minutes from bars, cafes, restaurants, attractions and transport. Thijs, the host is great to deal with.

We loved everything about our stay here. There are multiple flights of stairs, (normal stairs, not the steep variety common in Amsterdam ) not a problem for us but might be for some.
